I don't have access to TOR where I currently am, so i have questions:

1. Is the source avaiable ?
2. Can anybody view the source, or just buyers ?
3. Is this a honeypot  ?

1. Source is not available, since we are offering this as 'software as a service'.
2. Buyers wont see the source either,  we might try to get some 3rd party to check out the sources if i think i can trust them, but other than that its a typical closed source application.
The software is 100% custom, there is no code from open source shops or something like that, and we had security in mind from the beginning. You wont find the usual bugs like SQL injection etc on our shops at all.
3. No honeypot, im running http://torlinkbgs6aabns.onion/ since about a year, just trying to improve the Tor and Bitcoin cummunity and make some money while doing so.

I know we will have to proove ourself a bit before everyone will trust as with their money and data, but we invested months of full time work to get this software ready, so we will do the best we can to stay in the market and provide a good service for our customers.

Seems to defeat the purpose of using tor in the first place ?

Ah so you must have very gullible buyers.
As somebody mentioned above me: Doesn't this invalidate the whole point of using TOR in the first place ?

Isn't this a perfect example how a government-run honeypot would work ?

People can always use PGP if they dont trust us, and no data will leak to us (no IPs, no address data, all we can see is what people buy but we dont know who they are).

Other Tor based marketplaces are doing it the same way.

Honestly I don't see the benefits in this business model. Buyers will avoid it, since there is no protection, and for the sellers it is still as expensive as bitmit & other similar marketplaces which attract buyers because of the escrow and feedback mechanism. The reputation is a problem already in clearnet services, and when this advocates more anonymous markets using tor the reputation problem will be even more pain in the ass.

I would suggest switching the business model to something more market-placey. The conventional webshop model doesn't work in bitcoin world IMHO. Just my 2cents.
