So, I take it Biten has finally died. The chain has been stuck for days and there's no sign of the person/s behind this coin.

What's the intended use case for OZC?

But the commission problem is still there.

Also, the problem with biten swap still exists. It's still adding on a commission and not allow a trade to go through.

Back again for me now.

shows up normal to me, at least without login in. Orders also still there.

biten.swap is not working properly. My wallet doesn't show the biten or bitenx and there is no buy order anymore in the trading engine. My trading history is also showing up empty.

Having sentinel doesn't change the fact that starting a masternode doesn't broadcast it across the network.

Did you try what I replied earlier about checking from a different node whether or not it can see the masternode you setup? It doesn't. Something is wrong. There are no masternodes listed in 'masternode list' which there should be if the masternode setup is working properly.

I've tried to setup a masternode and it 'masternode list' only shows the presence of that masternode when I check from the node which is running the masternode. It doesn't appear if I check from another node.

I still can not see the masternode which you have set up.

If bitenx is not cloned from Dash, please tell us what coin bitenx is cloned from.

So, you cloned Dash and you just 'forgot' the fact that it requires sentinel??

Insufficient funds bug fixed.

Masternode guide updated

It's not direct Dash clone, its another coin and sentinel is needed because our coders activated it without me knowing it, I'm sorry about this.

dev, how long before the first payment? my mn started almost 1 day, and no rewards...

Its usualy few days before you start getting payments.

Yes, I've done all of those things. Here's the problem: If I do `masternode list` on a node which doesn't have a masternode, I don't get anything returned. So, the masternode might be showing on your node, but it isn't being propagated across the network. Try it yourself, set up another node, let it sync and then try `masternode list`. See if you get anything returned or if your list is empty.

When I do a `masternode list`, I don't see the masternode that you show in your screenshot.

Also, the masternode that you set up; have you received any rewards on it?

Also, if this is a fork of Dash, do we need sentinel?

I can't get a masternode to start. In the controller wallet, it will start and show PRE_ENABLED, but it won't ENABLE. In the remote masternode, it won't show that the masternode has been started which means that the signal is not propagating on the network. It will just give ""Not capable masternode: Masternode not in masternode list".

Even when I started the masternode in the controller wallet, it didn't propagate the annoucement onto the network. Check "masternode list". There's nothing there, so you're masternode isn't being broadcast.

I've set up many masternodes before and I just can't get this one working.

Advice, dev?

We have setup masternode only on linux vps without windows wallet.Since you need VPS also when you are setting up masternode with windows wallet it's better if you do everything on VPS.
1. Setup and start wallet daemon
2. Generate MN1 address and send 5000 to that address from your wallet
3. Follow instructions from the guide
- Generate MN private key on VPS
- Get masternode output from your wallet
- Edit bitenx.conf and masternode.conf
- Encrypt wallet
- Start wallet daemon (bitenxd)
- Check if masternode works (bitenx-cli get masternode status)

This masternode is made following guide we posted.

I don't know what you are doing wrong I setup masternode with guide I wrote above and when type masternode list I get this:

It synced in few minutes and now it's working.
Disable IPV6
Do you have ports open for 44445?
Do you have blockchain fully synced?
Do you have walletpassphrase?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wallet RPC to Stratum proxy on: January 28, 2018, 09:30:16 PM
A stratum "proxy" the way you describe it - is a pool Smiley

simply setup your own pool

Was just wondering if there might be a simpler way for the very limited functionality of 1 external machine connecting to a local wallet instead of having to set up a pool.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wallet RPC to Stratum proxy on: January 28, 2018, 09:21:01 PM

Are there any RPC to Stratum proxies that are designed for solo mining?

Right now the pool server I'm mining on has terrible luck. It makes me think they're scamming and I'd rather just go it alone. Unfortunately my mining software doesn't support a direct RPC connection. I need some sort of middleman between the wallet and my miner that supports stratum.

I would prefer it if the stratum didn't verify if a share was valid (reduce CPU load and complexity) before pushing it off to the wallet. If it sees a share > networkdiff it would immediately push it to the wallet. This would give it sort of universal support.

Looking to do something similar. Did you workout a way to get this to work?

I would prefer to see a pre-mine or pre-masternode so the dev had some coin to get this listed on cryptopia, bittrex, binance, kucoin etc,...

The coin is worthless without decent exchanges trading it.  One of the most important aspects, yet so few devs seem to take it seriously.  Lots of buyers with deep pockets will not go to shitty exchanges and for good reason.

How much commissions do you make by posting around harassing new alt-coins to pay over-priced "listing-fees" to get higher volume upon adding their coin to Bittrex?

Funny enough, there are two versions of the blockchain. One at 21348 and one at 21385 at the time of this post.

Bitcoin core 8 has some issues with wallets struggling with orphan blocks, hopefully not too many peers are stalled. The correct block is 21395.
Bitcoin core 10 handles this with UpdateTip and soon PHC will be implemented.

Stalled wallets might need to reset their datadir (remove blk0001.dat, database, txtleveldb) and resync.

Why is PHC getting mined with such excessive hashrates? You earn more by mining efficiently...

"Why is PHC getting mined with such excessive hashrates? You earn more by mining efficiently..."
Can you explain this please? The description in the ANN is hard to understand.

"Why is PHC getting mined with such excessive hashrates? You earn more by mining efficiently..."
What is an excessive hashrate? What is the ideal hashrate for this chain?

Bumping this. Dev - can you answer and shed more light on how this works? Thanks.

"A spike in hashpower will get your pool banned by other nodes on the network"

How sensitive is this? If someone with, say, 10Gh decided they wanted to mine PHC and joined the pool, are you saying that, just the act of joining the pool will bring down the pool?

Yes, large miners can bring down the pool if the hash-rate of the network is distributed evenly among all peers.

It has been set to be not too sensitive and can be adjusted. Peer block heights are also evaluated with an adjustable tolerance. For the past 24 hours, 1 seed node did not ban users but disconnected them (for testing purposes)

For example:

If the network hash-rate is 100 GH and you join the pool with 10 GH and start generating blocks at 10% what the rest of the network is mining then you're within the "safe" limits. But if you join a pool with 100 GH or more, you will most likely cause that pool or if you're solo-mining (your wallet) to be banned for 24 hours. 50 GH would be getting close to "un-safe" limits if 100 GH of the network was being mined by several peers/pools and not just 1.

That's a heavy price to pay if you're an innocent actor on the pool. You pay severely for someone else's action who probably has no idea that that will happen if they point their farm at a pool to mine PHC.

Madpool is at the correct chain again!  Grin
No need to worry: We will get in touch with the developer team to compensate the 37 blocks to our miners which are orphan now because of the incorrect chain!

MadPool looks to be behind again.

MadPool is on it's own chain again. It's mining every block.

yes, just resynced. Madpool is back on the main chain again. Anyone has an idea how to prevent that in the future?
Maybe we should call it "Chain Hunters"  Shocked
 Cheesy

There are several reasons for you to fork onto your own chain:
- A spike in hashpower will get your pool banned by other nodes on the network, if stratum remains connected to your wallet while your chain falls behind it will begin building its own chain without your wallet automatically resyncing to the main network.
- Core 8 has issues trying to deal with chain-forks, this will not be an issue (if your pool is not trying to go above 51%) once PHC can be upgraded to Core 10 (hopefully in the near future)

Multi-pool operator suggestions:
- Turn off the auto-coin switching feature for PHC so your pool hashrate is more stable and the other peers on the network "learn" the average correctly.
- Have a script verify blockheights from a block explorer.

wonderful project......also working on tracking hackers

Thank you!

Hello everyone. PHC is an experimental coin, I never expected this much interest from so many people so quickly. I do have other projects on the go (not related to crypto), this is my first coin "release", thanks for your patience and assistance. I am not making any promises about adding to exchanges please mine at your own risk.

For the past month: I have been fixing serious flaws in the source code that was used from some very popular coins out there right now, some have failed but others are still running with the same core issues PHC had. The PHC blockchain has been reset (everyone lost coins) a few times due to extreme forking with PoW/PoS mining. As of now, I feel those issues have been corrected. The PHC blockchain will not be reset and the longest chain during a fork will win.

Implementing a Firewall (I created) and a Dynamic Block Reward (I also created) was not a simple "copy and paste" task.  A small group of dedicated BETA testers have been helping me with that the past 20 days and so the available supply reflects their efforts. I would like to mention they used CPU solo mining and not ASICs like most people are right now. I did not make an "announcement" on BitcoinTalk due to the fact that most users expect a coin to be consumer ready as soon as they find it. This is an open-source project and early adopters that assist and improve it will most likely profit from the success, but that's not a guarantee... it exists in early development stages at this time.

I am trying to learn how to use Windows to compile a wallet in the next week, hopefully someone can beat me to that goal... I will give them a PHC masternode 10000 PHC  Shocked

New features from the dev of their own coin are something that's sorely missing now that we're firmly in an age of clone coins. Nice work dev. Keep on innovating and hashpower will continue to follow you.
