101  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: February 27, 2018, 02:04:03 PM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)

Prices of Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency is like a shares of stock of a certain company in which the price is variable in market that no one can predict its trending, if I'm not mistaken. So, the best time to buy bitcoin is when the price is much lower than the previous price and the right time to sell is when the price is much higher than your buying price or when you badly needed money for emergency purposes that there is no other reason but to sell. But if you really want a long term investment, just keep it and it may continue to grow as you almost forgot that you have a bitcoin investment before.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: February 26, 2018, 11:35:33 AM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

I don't think so. Electric cars are the only solution if there is a limited supply of gasoline. It is also a government project for a clean and green wherein the community is free from the dust and oil produces with cars using gasoline. But come to think of it, electric cars have a specific limitations. Sometimes it will stuck because it has a low battery or maybe the speed is affected depending how it is charged. The decision remains at the end user, I think.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: February 26, 2018, 11:20:48 AM
Over the years there have been a lot of crypto-based-based projects where the business owners offer shares in the form of coins they produce with different kinds of promotions including bounty programs, until when will the gift program remain?

I think it will last until the business is open and still making in the industry. Because bounty program is the best way of promoting their business as it requires a long range of time during campaign. Within the range of campaign or promotion, it acquires a lot of investors who can invest and interested in the products they offered. In our present situation, wherein even college or high school students can now join the campaign, I think bounty program will last longer in this business industry as it promotes employment and self satisfaction.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you thinking about the future? on: February 25, 2018, 03:47:02 PM
Have you ever thought about buying bitcoin for your children as a future investment?

Yes, I am thinking about the future. That's why I am here  joining the campaign for me to have an extra income and if I have a chance to have enough money to invest in bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, I will grab that opportunity. For me, thinking about the future is a serious thing that need an extraordinary planning, preparation and determination. Because joining in a campaign like this needs patience and self-determination for this is not as easy as what we thought. But if we patiently wait until the end, as life is a journey, we will harvesting what we sow and will have a brighter future ahead.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: February 24, 2018, 04:19:05 PM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?

In my own opinion, it really reduce unemployment because it can make an individual to be an internet entrepreneur. But it is highly competitive that's why we have to have a unique way, creative thinking skills and even innovative for us to remain in this kind of business. We should think out of the box idea, have a breakthrough in preparation to any unpredictable things, raise the bar of the standard already set and always have a best qualities of a good entrepreneur.

106  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin help out of school youth... on: February 24, 2018, 04:03:31 PM
Do you think Bitcoin can help out of school youth to finish their studies or not?
For me in some other way yes it will help . It will help young people to gain insight on how to earn money and how to value the money they earn. But it may also be the reason to them for not continuing their studies because they earn already a lot of money on bitcoin..

Probably, yes it will. The first thing to do is to help them and teach them on how to access the site, the forum and any other related services to start and boost their interest in joining and doing things that can help them achieve their dreams, to finish their studies for the brighter future ahead. And if they already how to do it on their own, teach them to value what they earn.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: February 24, 2018, 03:54:34 PM
Makes sense for governments to finally tax bitcoin. Not only is it going to help with the illegal ways that bitcoin is being used, but it's going to legitimize the currency, stabilize it, and help mainstream it. I'm sure that Satoshi is going to be pissed, BUT for the purpose of making this a more accepted cryptocurrency, I think it's about time.

For truly anonymous crypto, that's where the altcoins will come in. No one is going to be able to track where these altcoins go and it will be the anonymous side of crypto.

Bitcoin is to be taxed to legalize all transactions involving bitcoin so that no one will ride to the popularity of it and use in some illegal transactions and services like pyramiding and networking that syndicate often do so.
If it is legalized, transactions like these if not totally stop will lessen a little bit.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any good news about Bitcoin from your country? on: February 24, 2018, 03:45:14 PM
how popular is bitcoin in your country? in our country ,more and more people invest in Bitcoin now . Is there any good news about Bitcoin from your country?
Here in my country our government is currently in the process of regulating Bitcoin including other cryptocurrencies and that is a great news because our government and central bank believes that cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can help speed up transactions from local and overseas remittances and can also solve other problems. They are also in process of licensing new local bitcoin exchanges. I don't know how popular Bitcoin here in the Philippines because it is not quite mentioned in the local news but I know a lot of people (friends and relatives) that are investing and trading cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is one of the fastest and easiest way of paying bills, transferring money, loading prepaid load and any other related transactions. And it is happens here in our country with lesser charge for every transactions as to compare with other services. One more thing is some of the people here know how to invest and even doing trading business using bitcoin that can really uplift the life of not well to do family. I am very happy because the government allows us to use bitcoin and it is trusted by more of our fellow here.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: February 24, 2018, 03:33:02 PM
It is know that bitcoin has made a few millionaires, but many of these people don´t have any particular knowledge of the economy nor business. Do you think that is a fair situation?

Yes, of course. They deserve their wealth even though they don't have enough knowledge because they invested their money and take the risk whatever happens to the money. And I admire with the guts they have with regards to investing without calculating the return on investment and the risk accompanied with it. These type of people are always successful in business rather than to those with enough knowledge, trainings and seminars. Why? Because they are always afraid for the negative possibilities of not doing well in the market or in the industry.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: February 22, 2018, 02:22:06 PM
While I don't have many posts. I got involved in Bitcoin in 2013 and joined this forum in 2014. While I do not consider myself wealthy from Bitcoin yet. I do have an idea of how I would like to direct some of this new found wealth. I think most of the people who got involved early got involved for the right reasons. IE: To change the world and move humanity out of the control of the bankers. I am concerned that the new people coming may only be in to make money. I hope I am wrong, I really want this technology to be a force of good in the world and deliver economic freedom to the masses and the unbanked. My hope is everyone who was early, has some idea in mind that will help others. Maybe help your family, or a charity that you think isn't wasting money, or building a community swimming pool etc. If you have a lot of money think big and how you can change the world for the better. This is our chance!

I believe all of us have a social responsibility whether you are not so rich and wealthy or even if you are not joining Bitcoin. It is in the heart of the people to help others whatever status in life would be.  The only reason why rich people has greater responsibility is because they have a lot of money to contribute or to donate in the community.

Earnings from Bitcoin whether from investing or from bounty campaign, like this, promises a big amount of money we never expected before. I also agree that teaching others on how to learn this technology can help the economic condition of the country.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: February 21, 2018, 02:12:42 PM
Now we can see a lot of business opportunities that exist around us, be it pure online business or offline business that is go online. However, the number of business opportunities does not necessarily allow us to choose and run the business we want.

There are a few things we need to consider and start preparing the business prepares capital, the second prepares the workforce, the third is the provision of raw materials as well as the techniques in running the business, marketing the business optimally, then profit a business, risk a business, concerning business competition and pay attention to the latest business management is the facility and the fringe

Besides from what was mentioned, you need to know who is the target market of your business, competitors, location, suppliers if any, expenses, compute a timeline wherein you will get back your investment and profit, and recent business trends.

Yes, aside from the things mentioned above, you must have a feasibility study about the business you are about to enter with. Consider also the return on investment after a thorough research and evaluation of the product you wish to introduce in the market. Plan also the possible breakthrough if there are things happened beyond your control.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: February 21, 2018, 01:00:22 PM
Hey all,

I’m conducting a research on cryptocurrencies and I’m especially interested in why people choose Bitcoin. And since you are bitcoin users/experts, I thought you would be the best people to ask. It would be great if you could take the time to answer my questions (anonymously), I promise it will take no more than 10 minutes.

Click on the following link to go to the survey - https://uvacommscience.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3lzs2sI13cKH1m5?source=bitcointalk

If you are interested, I could post my main findings here.

Thank you.

I choose Bitcoin because it is the first cryptocurrency I heard from my classmates. I never thought that there are some cryptocurrency exist aside from Bitcoin. And it is very popular in the market and make use as mode of payment for some transactions online. Bitcoin helps me as an individual though I am still a student, I earned a lot of money as successful professionals out there.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: February 21, 2018, 12:30:23 PM
Everyones hasn diferent beliefs about money and wealth. See for example 35 different ways of thinking about it here:
https://daringtolivefully.com/powerful-beliefs-about-money

One famous author, not my favourite, yet an influential one is Robert Kyosaki. In his book poor dad, rich dad, he examines two different beliefs and states that those believes will shape your success.

What of these do you agree with? What other beliefs do you have about money?

1 - Millionaires are greedy, that is why they become millionaires.
2 - Company managers just want to use the workers to make themselves rich and others poor.
3 - Having money is a question of luck, if not of "gods grace".
4 - Debt is always bad.
5 - To make money, you just need to have a great idea nobody thought off.
6 - Cryptos are the way to make money and be successful without having to put effort into it.
7 - To become rich I just have to believe in Bitcoin because many people have become rich doing that.
8 - To become rich I just have to be more clever and streetwise than everyone around to get my share of the cake.

Your turn to think ...

(EDIT: These are NOT my beliefs, at least not necessarily, is just a list to think. Is not the list by Robert K. either.)

I do not agree to all that are stated above. It shows selfishness as an individual and greediness to those who are millionaires. I believe in equality that whether you are poor or rich can achieve the wealth everyone is trying to achieve. Having such qualities like positive thinking, innovative, creative, critical thinking skills, risk takers means you have the right to be inline in the business regardless your status in the community. And having enough knowledge, training skills, experiences and marketing strategies, I believe there is no reason for not having such wealth. It is better to have your desire wealth without hurting or stepping others and most especially do not compete with others, but rather compete with what you achieved, think outside the box and raise the bar for the entire industry.

My other beliefs about money?
More often than not, money is the root of all evil when someone is already a slave of money. Trying to do everything whether good or bad just to have a plenty of it for their satisfaction and happiness but still they feel sad and discontented for what they have.

For me, happiness and contentment with what I have is like having more money.

114  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: February 20, 2018, 12:11:05 PM
The best tips on saving money is you need to save 50% of your income. Savings is the first priority before spending. You need a mindset like that because if your goal is to spend first and what's left is your savings you can not save I'm telling you so you need to prioritize the savings before spending if you do that you will notice your savings getting bigger every month. And when you spend try to figure out first if you needed to buy the thing you wanted to buy, And buy those things that can be also be your assets. Be wise on spending money 💰💰💰..

For me, the best formula in saving money is "income less savings equals expenses" and not the usual habit all of us is familiar with, which is income less expenses equals savings. In this kind of mentality, the value of money allotted for savings will be given less priority. And if there comes a time when we needed money for emergency purposes, we don't have any option but to lend money from others or from any lending institution with interest that can really affect our financial status.

The formula I mentioned first is the best way on how to save money. If we prioritize savings over expenses, we limit our liability and increases our assets.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: how can the beggars access Bitcoin? on: February 19, 2018, 11:59:40 AM
beggars can use the money they get from other people to rent a computer and use the net. Through exploring and browsing they will learn what bitcoin is and later on learn how to use it. If beggars began to earn, our streets will be free from beggars

Beggars might have money from other people to rent a computer and use the net, but the question is "are they educated enough to browse and explore for them to know about Bitcoin"? Maybe they have the capability with regards to money (gave by people along with the street), but how they can negotiate and invest if they don't even know how to communicate in writing and in reading as well?

We can help them by assisting them and little by little explaining to them the steps by steps, the pros and cons, the possibility of gaining and loosing in this kind of business. I believe though they are beggars, they have the hidden capabilities as others have.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: February 19, 2018, 11:00:03 AM
Today's economy is either rising or falling depending on the consumers and sellers. If you join the Bitcoin, there is a high probability that you will gain something from your money because there are a lot of opportunities here. So my question is, "Where do you usually spend your money that you have gained here in Bitcoin?"

I am not a materialistic type of person and I buy only the "things I needed and not the things I wanted". I usually spend my money in most useful and valuable and not for the things usable for only a small period of time. I already invested some of my money in cooperative and earns dividend at the end of the year and I plan also to invest in some financial institutions or broker to buy shares of stock of a certain company.

I spend a portion of it for my personal necessity like computers and laptops that I can use to access in this kind of technology.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: February 18, 2018, 03:47:00 PM
I heard that bitcoin is a good investment for making a huge profit in the future , is that right ? Because i want to buy some bitcoin in these days .

Bitcoin is a good investment. Try to search the price of this last year, Do you see the difference of the price last year and now? But this is my advice in investing. Don't invest the money for emergency, the money for school, the money for bills so that you will not pullout your investment . That's the reason why many newbie investor did not get any profit. they can't wait, they need some money for bills.

Yes, I agree that bitcoin is a good investment but try to consider that it is a long term investment wherein you have to wait for a long period of time until you reached the desired amount. So, invest only the portion of your money.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: DON'T DO PANIC SELLING !!! on: February 18, 2018, 03:06:21 AM

It doesn't mean the price wont change forever or it will go up or down as long as it wants, the most important trait for you is to control your emotion, over excitement can sometimes lead to a big loss, how much more those who feel down when the price starts to drop low? let's be patient for a while and wait  a little longer.

Yes, that's true. Consider these as long term investment and be patient enough until it reached its maturity or until the right times come wherein the value is doubled, tripled or even ten times of the value invested or until it reached the value desired. Remember the previous price of BTC way back 2009 wherein Kristoffer Koch bought 5,000 bitcoins for only 27 dollars, basically nothing in terms of value but look how much is the price of that 5,000 bitcoins nowadays,? About 56,400,000 dollars, he even forgot about his investment until bitcoin’s wild price swings by 2013 resulted in a slew of articles about bitcoin.

So, don't do panic selling and no one can tell what happens in the future. Let us learn from others' experience.

119  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: February 16, 2018, 10:12:24 PM
because they are aware that by paying their own taxes that will benefit, taxes are used for our own benefit as they are used to build all road infrastructure and other public facilities, by paying taxes we will help the government to launch ongoing development

People agree to pay taxes not only because it is an obligation. I believe it is the best way of returning back the great opportunity of having a good job that a government offers to the citizen, and by paying the correct taxes it will contribute a lot to the fellow citizens of the country not only to the present but by generation to generation. Paying taxes is giving a little percentage of income in which there are lots of people who will be benefited including ourselves by enjoying the benefits of the project the government has to offer.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: February 16, 2018, 01:46:57 PM
The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?

Advertisement through social media by posting how to manage financial stability and the benefits of investing money in most respectable and reliable financial institutions, stock markets and the like. All of us can educate them, like a mother to her sons and daughters, that they should spend wisely and would buy the things that is needed rather than wanted.
