I will accept/reject participants tomo.

Please note that I only accept users posting at starting of the campaign which is Monday.

Hello CM Avirunes. I was a part of this signature campaign last round and I am very much thankful for that. I just want to know, do I need to reapply to join the next round? Or will I automatically be included again? I'm sorry for disturbing you, I know you are too busy but I am just a newbie and I still do not know all the rules. Thank you very much for understanding.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: July 31, 2017, 05:52:57 AM
I don't know why but I always get a feeling to gamble, after then losing my money, I quit for some time and then continue, but I know I will lose my btc Sad

Why is it so addictive?
I think greediness is the number one reason why is gambling is so addicting, especially if you experience to win in gambling in a huge amount, of course because of it you are aiming to believe that your gonna win again a big amount that's gamblers keep coming back again and again.
Other than greediness which is the most common answer to the question"Why gambling is addictive?", Personal problem or stress is one of the reasons why people are drive to gambling. It is already proven by some researches that stress contributes and influence people to gamble. People who got fired from their job and someone that lose someone important to them. Gambling is their way to make a break for all those problems. It acts like what alcohol and drugs do.

I have personally tried to play in some gambling sites too, but I never invested any amount as capital. I just used the free satoshis that they gave through their faucets and try to make it bigger. Maybe the fact that it is fun to play and the challenge to win makes you want to bet more. Based on my experience, you can win a little at first but you cannot keep on winning forever. You will surely lose in the end. Try to avoid these sites as early as possible and more importantly, do not invest in gambling because you will never profit from it. There are still many other ways to earn bitcoins, not just through gambling.
223  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 31, 2017, 04:08:46 AM
Investment means giving the money to someone who uses it for their business and pays you back a dividend (and you normally get some kind of share that can be sold later). Think stocks.

"Save in bank" is actually a kind of investment. You give money to the bank, they use it for their business and give you a small interest (if at all) as dividend, and you can withdraw your money. With current interest rates, this is pretty boring, the only advantage compared to keeping money in a safe at home is that it's easier to do most types of payment, and that you don't need your own safe...

Buying precious metals is not an investment because those metals won't work with the money you paid for them. It's mostly speculation (you hope that you can sell it for a higher price) and safekeeping (real value of money can fall due to inflation, while precious metals will mostly retain their "real" value). But you need to consider storage fees.

To decide which is better you need to know what you consider "good".
Do you want to maximize your ROI? Do you want to store your wealth safely? Do you want to enable entrepreneurs to build their businesses?

Onkel Paul

Very well explained. If I were to decide, I guess I would do both saving and investing through bitcoin. Buying gold would only give you frozen assets since you won't be able to use it. You can only wait for its value to increase until you can sell it for a higher price. Saving in a bank is good but not that much since they only pay you a little interest within a long period of time. Bitcoin is probably the best way to make your money grow faster and you can save it in trusted wallets to make it secure.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: July 31, 2017, 03:07:42 AM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin

I first had my thoughts on bitcoin because of a fellow college student. I became really curious on what it is and how he was able to earn money through the help of it. He had already bought the things that he want without asking money from his parents and he treats his classmates with food almost every week. Nobody told me how they were able to do it. They kept it as their little secret. That is when I decided to learn more about it myself. And here I am now, about to complete my first week as a member of a signature campaign.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2017, 12:17:26 AM
Hello,
I just want to know why Bill Gates do not invest some money in Bitcoin, he will be a very big contributor to the crypto world, and will also be very respected, he will also be able to become more rich (or less).
But what is the reason why he do not invest funds in cryptocurrencies?

How sure are you that he did not invest money in bitcoin? Of course he would always want to be involved into the latest technologies especially when it is a prospect to earn more money. I saw some videos of him on YouTube having an interview about his thoughts on bitcoin and I pesonally think that he supports this kind of new and innovative technology. We never know if he made an investment about it before and just hide it from the public.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: July 29, 2017, 10:58:19 AM
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me

Bitcoin is not supported in some countries maybe because they do not have the proper technology to do so. There is no support being received especially in poor countries since there aint much profitable business there. Other countries prohibit the use of bitcoin due to taxation issues, because a lot of people use bitcoin transactions to escape tax payment. It mainly depends probably on the country's laws and rules that's why the use of bitcoin cannot be legalized.
227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 29, 2017, 08:34:41 AM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.

No transactions can be proccessed right away after August 1, so it probably would be impossible to buy bitcoins immediately after the fork. If you have a huge capital and can afford to lose some money if ever things won't go well, then it is ok for you to buy more bitcoins before August 1. It is always a risk anyway when it comes to investing. Just remember not to invest all of your wealth to bitcoin, especially on times like this. Just invest a portion of it and you will be fine.
228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any good Bitcoin games around? on: July 29, 2017, 12:50:45 AM
I'm looking for fun games where you can earn Bitcoin or use it within the game. Can you recommend me a list of BTC games that are fun and addicting? Just want to know the list of BTC games that are available as I'm going to use them as an introductory point to teach and attract new people towards Bitcoin at my place.  Smiley

You should try here -- http://www.satoshiquiz.com/

In faucet mode, you can win up to 300 satoshi every minute by correctly answering various trivia questions. In solo challenge mode, you can instantly win 10,000 satoshis by answering 10 out of 10 questions about your chosen topic. In the roulette mode, you get a chance to multiply your earnings by betting any amount from 100 to 1000 satoshis. It is really cool and challenging, I definitely recommend it if you want to have some fun. Try and put your knowledge into test while earning some bitcoins.  Grin
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 28, 2017, 10:47:52 PM
I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?

My family always asks me about bitcoin because I have been focusing into it recently. It is really hard for me to explain to them what it is since I am just new to this kind of stuff, and they ask me a lot of questions because they want to know how will I be able to earn money through bitcoin. My classmates usually ask me about it too after I started becoming a member here in this forum. This is why I want to learn more about bitcoin and hopefully earn even a little already because it is easier to explain it to others and make them beleive if you have a solid proof.
230  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 28, 2017, 03:34:06 PM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

Do not quit your job. It is still better to have a steady source of income rather than depending on bitcoin only. As we know, bitcoin is very sensitive to changes so it is not advisable to have it as your only source of income. It would be better if you consider it as your side job to earn some extra money after your work or during your free time. Try to invest in trading and some other stuff like that. It doesn't require much effort, so you can still focus on your work. It is much more preferable to have more ways to earn than just one right? This way you would be able to earn and save more in a shorter period of time.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: July 28, 2017, 02:03:59 PM
Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

It is a good idea, but not really needed though. In my country, not everyone can afford to go to college. Some are high school drop outs and some cannot even afford to go to school. What we really need is a way to advertise and to popularize bitcoin more so that even the poor people can have an idea of what it is and find a way for themselves to get involved in the business. Of course we also need the support of the local government maybe to make some fund raising programs about bitcoin and give the money as a capital for those poor people who also want to invest in bitcoin.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: July 28, 2017, 07:32:15 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

I am saving bitcoins not just for fun, but because I am having fun while earning. As you can see, I am just a newbie. I tried to apply to a signature campaign several days ago and I was accepted. Of course, as someone who is new to this forum, being accepted in a signature campaign on my first application made me feel really happy and it boosted my self confidence knowing that I am actually making quality posts. It is because I have an inner passion about researching and blogging. As of now I am just enjoying this job while earning. I am planning to save what I will be earning for future use and to give some of it to my parents and my sister.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 05:07:38 AM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

Bitcoin transactions require a fee to be collected by miners on the network. They charge higher fees for faster proccessing of transactions. Using the normal or the cheapest rate for transfering bitcoins to an external wallet usually takes hours or days before the transaction is confirmed, while it will take only a few minutes if you pay a higher fee. And of course, the fees are affected by the bitcoin's price. As its value keeps on getting higher, the fixed transaction rates or fees also gets higher.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 28, 2017, 01:55:29 AM
what do you think about this topic?

Instant? I don't think so. Nobody becomes rich in an instant, maybe except if you won the lottery. Though earning through bitcoins may not require hard work, it still requires you to invest your time and patience. I think it is better to say that bitcoin is an easy way to earn money, rather than an instant way to get rich. It also doesn't mean that you will automatically get rich if you invest in bitcoins. It will depend on how good you are in handling and managing your investment to make it grow in the shortest time possible. I beleive that through experience, an individual might learn the most efficient way of earning money.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 27, 2017, 08:15:28 AM

No, I don't think so. It is not possible that bitcoin will end world poverty. Why? Because not everyone in this world have access to bitcoin. There are countries where poor people do not have internet connection, computer or even a mobile phone. It still depends on the person's dedication and determination in finding ways on how to succeed in life. And do not aim to get rich instantly, of course you must have to put some hard work and patience if you want to escape from poverty.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: July 27, 2017, 05:05:27 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?

Of course they know what bitcoin is. Surely some of them have already invested a percentage of their wealth to the bitcoin industry. Usually, rich people are always updated in everything that involves money. Actually there are videos on YouTube consisting of Bill Gates' interview about bitcoin, and he even said that it is unstoppable. These billionaires probably don't want to miss out the opportunity of becoming even richer through bitcoin.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 27, 2017, 12:12:14 AM
It is a good story to hear, but being unemployed how are they getting the money to invest in it,if you could detail that part then it would be awesome. Wink

Yeah, it kinda seems the most important bit is missing!

Well, they do not really need to invest anything to start earning bitcoins right? And since they are unemployed, they can invest all their time and go all in earning bitcoins online. Bitcoin is really a good way to earn money at home for those people that do not have a job. But of course it is still better to have a regular source of income from an occupation and use bitcoin as a part time job and an extra source of money.
238  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to win Bitcoins with Signature Campaigns ??? on: July 26, 2017, 11:18:05 AM
In signature campaigns, you pretty much put a message advertising something for the person who runs the campaign. Every campaign has its requirements. You can find a list of the campaigns available here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Most of them require having a category of member of above, so you also need to post and participate in the forum in order to get that status.

Hope it helps.

Ok thank you for your answer but as a junior member, how to join the Signature Campaigns of WhyFuture and DIMCOIN for example ??
Do I have to visit their sites to register ?? And if I sign up, what will be the next step to succeed my Signature Campaigns ?? I really can not understand the procedure ??

You are actually getting paid with bitcoins in signature campaigns, not winning. In order to join a signature campaign here in this forum, you must go here first -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Then try to find an active campaign. Once you have found one, click on that campaign and you will see the rules, how to apply and everything else that you need to know. This is what I did and I just got accepted recently in one of those signature campaigns. You just need to have some patience and try to learn as much as possible about this forum. I hope that I was able to help you. Goodluck earning bitcoins!  Grin
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: July 26, 2017, 08:53:55 AM
Hi,

Even just a year ago bitcoin was useable... now the fees are about 10x what the banks charge. Seems like its changing from a peer-to-peer money system for everyone into yet another convenient way for rich people to exchange funds!

What went wrong> And more to the point, who is responsible? What can be done to fix it?
Thanks
Andy

I don't think that bitcoin is for the rich only because even though you just belong to the average people including me, you can still earn bitcoins through various ways instead of buying and investing. To me, it is true that bitcoin is made for everyone. But I agree that the fees had increased a lot since last year. What happens right now is that the faster you want the transaction to happen, the higher the required fees that you must pay. I suggest that you use other cryptocurrencies instead for your transactions since they have lower fees than bitcoin.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is Bitcoin Mixer a must? on: July 25, 2017, 01:41:32 AM
Almost everyone making online transactions thinks that using bitcoins would be a good way to stay anonymous. But the truth is bitcoin transactions are not really anonymous at all. All transactions are recorded and can be seen publicly through the blockchain. When you use your bitcoin to pay for goods and services online, you will need to provide some private information in some cases. This means that your transactions can be traced by a third party to find information. In order to avoid this from happening, bitcoin mixers provide services where your bitcoins are mixed with others to make it harder to be traced back from the original owner.

Do you think that it is a must for everyone to use a bitcoin mixer? Why and for what purposes?
