1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Really Meant as a Peer to Peer System on: January 10, 2019, 08:43:45 AM
Thoughts everyone. In general we really should be focusing and promoting the original vision of Bitcoin and Crypto as a Peer to Peer system. Vs as a means to invest in to get more FIAT. The Fiat system is a failure, so why should be keep feeding the bear.

Don't you all want to get your economy back and become more independent from central control.

Why or why not you want this to happen? thoughts.

i also agree that bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency must be used as a P2P system rather than what we are having right now.
but we also cant deny the fact that as of today a P2P system will be hard to initiate since there is still a lot of people who sees cryptocurrency as a means of investment rather than a form of currency.
therefore we still cant stop them from converting it to fiat in order to be useful for them.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins? on: September 28, 2018, 01:42:56 PM
Looking at the decentralized nature of crypto-currencies,Wonder if govt bans Bitcoins in future??Is it possible let's say by blocking all sites which relate to Bitcoin wallets/payments etc over the internet. In that case what would happen to our existing coins held in those wallets??

as of today i believe that there have already been a lot of countries that bans bitcoin.
but here we are still engaged with bitcoin.
no matter how hard it will be there will always be those dedicated supporters of bitcoin that won't let it go despite of all the odds they needed to conquer.
and i hope they will continue to do so in the coming days Cheesy
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HAS BITCOIN REALLY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME? on: September 27, 2018, 05:40:44 AM
i do believe that what ever is happening with bitcoin right now and in the past is just a normal thing.
everything in this world must undergo trials in order to be proven worthy.
i am happy that bitcoin is experiencing up and even it sometimes it experience downfalls i am still very happy because it only means it poses threat to current financial system that there will always be individuals that will do things to bring it down. Cheesy
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belgium has 8 Bitcoin ATM machines on: September 27, 2018, 01:20:16 AM
that is a very good news to hear.
hopefully here in our country things like that would soon gonna happen.
it will be easier to conduct your exchange through that way.
.
i am just curious though if that kind of transaction would still be needing your KYC details Cheesy Cheesy
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we Re-Brand Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2018, 09:37:00 AM
Do you think Bitcoin needs some Rebranding?

Rebranding is the creation of a new look and feel for an established product or company. The usual goal of rebranding is to influence a customer's perception about a product or service or the company overall by revitalizing the brand and making it seem more modern and relevant to the customer's needs.

First off, the name is a bit confusing? - Most people see the name and associate it with some physical coin. The media is also not helping with this

perception, because with every article about Bitcoin, pictures are shown of physical Casascius bitcoins.

The other aspect of Bitcoin that can be rebranded is it's bad reputation that has been built up and shilled up ..over years.

Every company gets to a point where they need to re-think their original goals and future plans... Why not Bitcoin? We have come a long way

since 2009 and making small changes will help us to take this into a new future, without the baggage of the past.

What would the pro's and cons of this be, and also the impact?

Let's discuss  Grin Grin Grin

for me rebranding as of now won't really offer that great help in order to make bitcoin perform better.
in contrast it could even worsen the situation where bitcoin is in now.
i believe that we must stick into what ever it was known to be.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks are still "stalking" Bitcoin users on: September 26, 2018, 08:51:16 AM
Risks are still "stalking" Bitcoin users
Some economists have predicted that the future value of the Bitcoin will probably fall to the bottom, which is zero. But its value can be very high, up to $ 100,000. peaked at $ 1 million. I feel very dangerous when I play in this coin market.
What do you think?

in everything we do there will always b risk involved.
no matter how careful we are there are factors which we will not foresee.
but for me this makes my bitcoin investments more exciting.
no one can really tell what can happen in the future.
and i like it like that Cheesy
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anonymity the future for bitcoin??? on: September 26, 2018, 05:02:22 AM
As we can see each and every transaction for bitcoin is publicly registered to the blockchain where in all of us have access, so I am just thinking if anonymity or providing privacy will be the next move for bitcoin. Just my thoughts, you can add yours here and let's discuss it.

i am already happy with the way bitcoin was built.
let it be how it was designed to be.
after all there are already a lot of altcoin out there that offers it's users the anonymity they wanted.
people used bitcoin the way it was therefore let's better leave it like that Cheesy
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 BITCOIN CITIES IN THE WORLD on: September 26, 2018, 04:46:30 AM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that has gained so much attention in the last few years, it is no longer news that a lot of people in countries and cities are embracing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as the day go by, but what may be news is what city or country is bitcoin accepted the most. As obtained from FORBES website, a research was carried out recently to determine the cities with most Bitcoin-Accepting Vendors in the world. From the research, the top 10 cities is as listed below:

CITIES (COUNTRIES)                             NUMBER OF CRYPTOCURRENCY-ACCEPTING BUSINESSES
1. PRAGUE (CZECH REPUBLIC)                                          147

2. BUENOS AIRES (ARGENTINA)                                        141

3. SAN FRANCISCO (UNITED STATES)                                117

4. MADRID (SPAIN)                                                          101

5. NEW YORK CITY (UNITED STATES)                                101

6. AMSTERDAM (THE NETHERLANDS)                                88

7. BOGOTA (COLOMBIA)                                                   87

8. VANCOUVER (CANADA)                                                86

9. LONDON (THE UNITED KINGDOM)                                85

10. PARIS (FRANCE)                                                        82

It should be noted that in order to find Bitcoin hotspots around the world, the research used Coinmap on July 24, 2018. The number of BTC-vendors listed in a city was recorded and did not include corresponding suburbs. It is worthwhile to also state that CoinMap relies on crowdsourcing to list all BTC-accepting vendors. For more information, see link below:

i am really happy seeing that there are now a lot of major cities around the world that accepts the value of cryptocurrency.
hopefully more and more countries will follow this trend.
another thing i really wanted to see one of the city in my country to be a part of it Cheesy Cheesy
and i know someday it will Cheesy

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It Takes 9343$ to mine one bitcoin, so no way i am selling it below 12000$ on: September 26, 2018, 04:05:12 AM
PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE...
it will be applicable for all the cryptocurrency holder today especially with those who have bitcoins.
aside from helping ourselves by holding we will also be able to somehow help the community in general if we continue to do so.
in order to avoid greater fall on prices we must realize that each of us has a role to play.
but nevertheless it is your coins therefore you can do anything you want to do with it...
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 25, 2018, 03:32:45 PM
First of all i would like to commend you for a very nice research regarding satoshi's real identity.
But nevertheless this will still remain as a perception of an individual, i also do have a guess who could satoshi really be but ill just keep it to myself who he/they really is/are.
But one of the basis i have is the amount he/they have.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Downsides to crypto on: September 21, 2018, 01:13:20 PM
If and when cryptocurrency and/or bitcoin becomes the official currency of the world, do you think there will be a downside to it? If so, what do you think the negative effect will be once cryptocurrency becomes a worldwide currency?

even though i really like cryptocurrency i also believe that it will also be having it's downside just like anything else in this world.
one of which is the availability and its usability to those who are not really engaged with technology.
such as old people and those who doesn't have access to internet and computers.
16  Other / Archival / Re: The Founder of Bitcoin on: September 21, 2018, 06:48:36 AM
Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency.

If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society.

What are your thoughts?

i believe that one day satoshi or the group behind this name will reveal himself/themselves.
but i don't think it will happen in the near future.
they must be waiting for a time wherein cryptocurrency will be globally accepted already and has stable foundations too.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Cryptocurrency for Dark Web on: September 21, 2018, 04:04:41 AM
Last night, I saw a movie called Unfriended: Dark Web wherein one of the main characters stole a laptop, which he later found out that it is owned by a member of an anonymous group in a Dark Web. This member sent him bitcoins totaling to $10m to make him do terrible things, dragging his friends into this mess. This got me thinking, I know it is probably possible to use crypto for dark web, but if this is how it is going to be, don't you think that this will make bitcoins and other altcoins dangerous? Can a person really use cryptocurrency for Dark Web?

PS: I am not planning to use cryptocurrency for dark web, I am simply asking if it is indeed possible and its dangers.

bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general has always been used in illegal acts such as payments and purchases in the dark web.
it has been mentioned that one of the main reason why bitcoin is popular right now is because illegal acts like dark web transaction used it as a means of their payment.
it may be hard to accept but this is the reality
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will survive in long run Bitcoin or Blockchain??? on: September 21, 2018, 12:07:48 AM
i do believe that blockchain technology will revolutionize our future.
along with it will be bitcoin since it has always been the face of the blockchain.
there may be new altcoins that will soon rise but i don't believe that it will reach to a point that it will surpass bitcoin.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the vehicle, we run it on: September 20, 2018, 03:16:16 AM
A lot of posts are about bitcoin (eg bitcoin for illegal transactions ... bitcoins change lives ... bitcoin destroys the world ... bitcoin poison and so on) but basically it's all humans that move .. bitcoin is the tool. Good bad how the tool is how the man who runs. is it worth blaming bitcoin. What is your opinion?

totally agree with this.
just like everything in this world - bitcoin is just a tool.
it is still up to us human what will be the outcome of using it.
we could use it for good purposes as other uses it for illegal activities.
at the end of the day the result will always be the effect of what we did.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you reccomend family and friends to join the market when it's crashing? on: September 19, 2018, 10:08:17 PM
Do you recommend family and friends to join the market when it's crashing?
We pray for the prices to go up and to more people join the market, but will you recommend someone close to you to join when the prices are dropping like crazy?

If you do, explain why.

To be honest i do not recommend or encourage anyone to join in cryptocurrency despite my great belief on it.
I am here simply to educate them and teach them as much as i could but i always leave it up to them if they will continue on or not.
I am doing this in order to avoid any regrets and confrontation for them in the future.
