Scrypt-coiners! I've devised an efficient open miner frame design and I'm trying to gauge if there is interest in a kit. It's sized so that it can comfortably hold up to 6 GPUs while still maintaining double spacing between each GPU. (fewer GPUs allows for more generous spacing) It's designed around the dimensions of a 20" house fan and two frames can be stacked to fit perfectly in front of a 20" fan. If I were to provide a kit for this, would anyone want one? I could offer it in two levels of completion. The basic (cheaper version) would only have the cut tubes, fittings and hardware with center punched marks for where the holes go. With this option you would use self tapping screws to hold on the GPUs and "tap" the holes for the motherboard stand off yourself with a regular steel computer case screw. I'm still developing a simpler stand off system that uses either plastic standoffs or spacers and self tapping screws. But regardless of the final form of the basic kit, the user would do the last part of the work. I might also offer a fully drilled and tapped version for people who would rather just pay for the extra work to be done. Here are some photos. price cut and basic black also works for me ,but I not sure that the price cut works for am and its stock price.
lets say 1000 sticks are sold today by canary at .33 btc each that is 330btc gross sales. canary used our labels. so the 330btc needs to stay the same. so lets take some money off for china to chicago shipping 3btc so you are at 327btc. take some money off for canary's workers 2 btc per 1000 sticks so you are at 325btc. am had to build the sticks say 50btc so profit drops to 275btc.
my guess is not accurate just a guess but how much can you cut? I would rather they make a faster stick lets say .672gh not.336 like now. make the stick taller since most of us would not mind a 25% height increase if hash doubles. then keep price at the .3-.4 range with 2x hash it is like this one dropped to .165 a stick.
If they added another chip it could not be powered directly by usb 2.0 which has current rating of 500mA. The emerald ones draw 510. Sapphires draw ~500. So they are already at their limits. They would have to migrate to usb 3.0 which has a current rating of 900mA? Aren't most people using usb 3.0 hubs anyways? It's time for these erupters to erupt to double their hash rate and about .30 BTC price for each. |

I agree, this coin is going to explode. I wish there were more than the one pool though but it is what it is. At least the pool is now stable. I know there are 2 other pools but this are P2Pools and no traffic on them compared to the main pool. Hopefully on Cryptsy tomorrow. |

i think i'm the only non-p2pool. Hopefully with the recent jump in price other pools will be opening up. Your pool is great, but its always wise to decentralize. thank you. you are correct about decentralization. other insight about my pool. i pay for orphans and transfer fees are extremely low compaired to what the wallet charges me.  enjoy. btw: my pool is hitting 875ghs which leads me to perform more sql optimizations. don't be alarmed if you don't see the site will fully updated information as it is still finding blocks and performing payouts in the background. i will keep everyone posted when this is done -d the pool is back up to speed with more optimization! enjoy! Not to bring up bad and scary things but because GME hasn't made it to the exchange lots of children have had to go without be able to purchase games with their Gamecoins. Think of the children!  But if we add it before Christmas well be like Santa yes? Everyday that isn't Christmas is technically before Christmas. So by that logic, Thursday sounds as good as any. Just checked on yPool and it's actually a little over 5 days - even worse! (Supposedly) dedicated 8-core opteron box @ 'Server4You' for 90 bucks/month. Signed up after a recommendation from another forum member (who was likely full of s*it just to pull referrals). Stats look like: SPH: 18.10 - Val/h 4.7566 - 4ch/h: 3299 - 5ch/h: 308 - 6ch/h: 32.48 - 7ch/h: 1.86 - PPS: 11137 Does that sound right for <0.2 XPM/day? This is using jh v4 under wine, v6 was much worse than this. Needless to say I cancelled the server but still have it for another 25 days - $90 bucks wasted  ah well live & learn!  You got taken dawg...sucks...just mine it on your own computers.... I get better results that you did on a old ass dual core intel computer. |
