Hey! I saw more than 300 contributors at Hodl Github. So is this coin going to be improved, upgraded, or smth like that?
Most of those are old contributions. If i have understood right a new wallet release will come in the beginning of next year.

I trid to compile a new miner version. Got much faster miner version but connection did not work properly. I compiled another version in Msys2. Need 40 MB dlls and is slower but should be a little bit faster than MadZepra version. https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binaryIf some could compile miner in Mingw64 console it would be good.

In lower section called "ROIcoin Term Deposits" you can see your deposit and all of the details about it
Can you explain how the interest rates are calulated. I tried to adjust Hodlcoin calculator but could not find simple modification to match wallet reported rates. On the first page it's said that max interest is 426.38% but wallet gives 731% interest??? On 12 month term deposit total payout is about 633.92% interest. Keep in mind that is when you combine the term deposit and the standard POS together... You may want to refer to: https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/blob/master/src/primitives/transaction.cpp Zoom down to lines 195-206: for(int i=1;i<ONEYEARPLUS1;i++){ rateTable =rateTable[i-1]+(rateTable[i-1]>>18); bonusTable=bonusTable[i-1]+(bonusTable[i-1]>>16); str += strprintf("%d %x %x\n",i,rateTable, bonusTable); }
for(int i=0;i<ONEYEAR;i++){ str += strprintf("rate: %d %d %d\n",i,getRateForAmount(i,COIN*100),getBonusForAmount(i,COIN*100)); }
return str; }
If 'On Maturation' values varies this much how accurate the earned balance is? It should be very accurate and is really only affected by variations in the standard 2 minute block timing. Rates are increasing 20,56 - 122,83 - 497,40 % - deposit block 1904 22,72 - 142,62 - 527,88 % - deposit block 2284 20,19 - 130,59 - 546,69 % - deposit block 2517 1,00 - 8,32 - 732,35 % - deposit block 4837 19,10 - 158,97 - 732,50 % - deposit block 4838 Edit: Estimated date is 15 months away Rate is now over 1000 %. 1,00 - 11,05 - 1005 % - deposit block 8318

What hash rates are you guys getting? I got about 620h/s with Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3725Mhz
I have 100H/s on Intel Pentium G4560. Its about 35ROI per day for the moment. Yestarday it was about 20 ROI per day. But Net Hashrate was about 400Kh/s, now its 230Kh/s. my Max is 105Kh/s and I am part of the problem people are talking above. But don't worry I don't want to spoil your coin so dropped it to 3.5Kh/s as I limited the threads to 20, I am using intel polaris and can provide 80 threads per core. with the 3.5Kh/s I get 20 ROI every hour. With the 105kh/s it was 20 roi per 15 seconds. When there come more miners I will raise the power again. Are you using single processors or dual processor? Linux Optiminer version of hodlminer? Lol. I'll add it to my list http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/cpus/CPU_vs_Hash_rate.xhtml =))))

intel core i5 4460 - 320 h/s
Would you like to run ’hodlminer --benchmark -q’ for longer time and calculate the average. I'll add all measurements to my list. http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/cpus/CPU_vs_Hash_rate.xhtml

Checked the DNS seeders. There are now 490 unique IPs. 1858 have been banned. I need to research what qualifies for getting banned. Of those, would a pool only represent 1 IP? Pool is at least one node like 88.99.30.25 is hodl.optiminer.pl and 37.187.27.4 is fr-db2.suprnova.cc. Seeder is crawling the network. Might those banned IPs are just nodes not suitable for seeder. Nodes which have port 3377 closed or are behind NAT?

Any idea's on how we could change the algorithm to be more nicehash resistant is welcome.
I suggest Argon2d algo. It's asic and also gpu resistant algo New algo. Coin gets popular => NiceHash adds support for new algo. In the very beginning of new coins NiceHash gives a short cut to get high amounts of coins but eventually it's just a way to buy coins.

can you write here an example of bat file for pool mining with skylake
Skylate supports AES-NI and AVX2 so right miner version is https://github.com/madzebra/hodlminer-binary/blob/master/hodlminer.exehodlminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u RAKobWWMyirpp3XHR6hq8wTU5Rhs8v2XBR -p x -q You can add -t parameter to limit threads. Four threads '-t 4'

Wondered that what are the differences between the curiosity compensated around the current balance, compared to HOdling it to have an By amount of time.
Is this what you mean? HOdlcoin Interest Rate Calculator http://hodlcoin.github.io/

Someone posted a link to an *.xls file earlier, which I think could be a great way to compare performance data across different chips, miner-releases and OS'es. I just didn't know what to do with it. My browser just downloads the file.
At the moment I have just a Excel spreadsheet to gather benchmarks and I have added all results manually. You can send a priv missage to me so I don't miss your benchmark results. It would be good if you let 'hodlminer --becnhmark -q' to run let's say 5 minutes and calculate the average. I copy pasted the output of hodlminer to LibreOffice Calc and calculated the average. http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/cpus/CPU_vs_Hash_rate.xlshi, it this benchmarks for ROI? in ROI wallet i have only 270 h/s, with my i7-7700, but in this excel - 519. how can i mine roi with this miner? Yes. Roi and Hodlcoin use same miner. Do your wallet use AES-NI optimization. Instructions for Hodlcoin (for Roicoin replace "hodlcoin" by "ROIcoin") https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1317918.msg23710305#msg23710305To use hodlminer.exe you need to mine in a pool. Only availabe pool for Roicoin is coinspool.cu.cc. hodlminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u <your roicoin public address> -p x -q For i7-7700 https://github.com/madzebra/hodlminer-binary/raw/master/hodlminer.exe

it looks like kinda pointless to mine with CPU if people already mining with nice hash.
I suppose it depends on your CPU. Yesterday I saw i7 3770's get 0-4 blocks in 24 hours. I also saw i7 6700, Ryzen 1800X and Intel 6950X do even better. I've also noted days where weaker CPU did better than stronger CPU due to the luck factor. I wouldn't call an i7 3770 a high end item but at the same time many pc's out there have substantially less hashing power than the high 200's it can dish out. I would say maybe something in the range of an i7 3770 might be about the lowest cpu power that could solo mine a block or more a day at the moment. As hash goes even higher this is subject to watch the bar get raised higher. And NiceHash is not free. Exchange price and NiceHash price will be leveled. Report your benchmark results. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2361848.msg24303792#msg24303792

HOX!If someone could figure out how to compile 64 bit Windows binary of https://github.com/Optiminer/hodlminer-wolf I would be happy. Step 1: Build separate miner for AES-NI+AVX2 and AES-NI+SSE processors. Step 2: Add runtime detection of AES-NI, AVX2 and SSE. AVX support is removed because SSE is fast enought when there is no AVX2 support.

What are these 35 million and 5 million adresses? http://45.76.246.101:3001/richlistHas someone bought over 100 kH/s hashing power from NiceHash at the beginning and mined like a mad man? It doesn't look very distributed. My hashing power is ~300 H/s. Pool reported that this would be equivalent of ~500 coins per day. It would take almost 200 years to mine 35 million If the algorithm had been changed you wouldn't have been able to buy Hodlcoin hashing power from NiceHash.

Hi. I'm a newbie and I have one question. Can this coin be mined with VPS with Ubuntu via Putty? If yes, can someone complile a tutorial on how to? thanks
Yes. If you use pool you can compile miner like this. sudo apt-get install git git-core sudo apt-get install build-essential pkg-config libcurl4-openssl-dev libssl-dev sudo apt-get install automake git clone https://github.com/Optiminer/hodlminer-wolf cd hodlminer-wolf ./autogen.sh ./configure CFLAGS="-O3" make Then run miner nice ./hodlminer -o stratum+tcp://coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u <your address> -p x -q nice lowers the priority so Ubuntu gives CPU time for higher priority processes. The same miner can be used for mining hodlcoins. Edit: Miner for Windows 64 bit. Miner supports AES-NI and AVX2. If CPU doesn't support AES-NI or AVX2 miner will crash. https://github.com/madzebra/hodlminer-binary/Many miner versions for different CPUS. Unfortunately these version are quite slow. https://github.com/nicehash/hodlminer-wolf/releasesIn Windows you can start miner with lower priority by creating a .bat file and adding a line like this start "Hodlminer" /BELOWNORMAL hodlminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u <your address> -p x -q Valid priority class values are /low, /normal, /high, /realtime, /abovenormal and /belownormal.
