This looks like a truly amazing project! But I see that the roadmap is speaking about this coin having had the genesis event in December 2017 while this ANN is dated september 2018 - so which can I find the whole story of this coin? I will stay tuned from now on.

What's good in this little tragedy of the collapesed price is that it didn't tank further for quite some time now, which could suggest that we have reached the bottom. Let's hope so. The upcoming reduced reward could do the magic and lift the price again.

Demands on altcoins have raised significantly recent weeks, not only on MTNC. MTNC, in reality, got stronger supports from bigger buy orders in total on exchanges. Nevertheless, I hope that the team will release new achivements for community. Those ones, if released, will be a big motivation force for MTNC. Really? I love wishful thinking  PS. The funny in all this is that if enough people express their wishful thinking then suddenly it can become a self fulfilling prophecy - which in our case would be quite good. |

Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted.
One reason that I was hesitant to do this before is that there are an awful lot of newbie restrictions, and I don't want the forum to be unwelcoming to good newbies.
Sometimes, it becomes obvious that some persons don't just want to grow up. The new rule notwithstanding, those good ones will still prove their mettle. It will not stop both the good and the bad from joining, but certainly, it was a deserving rule. What needed to be done has been done. I like very much how theymos cares about good users and new users. In other occasions I've appreciated how he has shown deep empathy and concern for "poor" users - those who live in poor countries and taking part to Bitcointalk (and bounty campaigns) helps them to survive and to feed families. In short, I've realized what a nice person theymos likely is. This being said, introducing 1 Merit requirement to become Junior Member was absolutely necessary for trying to protect the forum. The garbage posting by Newbies and Juniors has recently reached unprecedented levels - some of them probably even use bots to create entire discussions which are close to meaningless. When I'll have more time I'm planning to start to report then all whenever I stumble in them. |

I was very shocked. DeepOnion has exceeded the number of votes in PRiVCY in one day. It seems that DeepOnion is very experienced in voting.
Of course, I don't think PRiVCY can always pin its hopes on the vote to listed on free exchanges, and should consider more exchanges that are listed on the money.
DeepOnion has a quite big community, so that could be the explanation. However, some bots or some other tricks could also be an even more likely explanation |

So nothing has changed since dev got back here... still no payments, no working explorer, no update to ban old clients. I have a feeling that he has already abandoned this project.
This is a hard time for crypto currency dev to work on a project specially the price of his coin is declining. I guess he will comeback when the bull starts kicking again. For now almost every crypto project is in limbo. These are the times where you can distinguish between devs who are quitters and devs with balls. Quitters get depressed and get lagged until bull run resumes - but then it may be too late to save a community and a project. Devs with balls on the other side keep up developing their own project also during hard and painful times. We will find out to which of the two categories belogs our dev. Even though there are already a few clues on that... |

Im all excited for the release of the white paper. The sneak peak looks promising, if this can be implemented within 2018, that would be really good news. Other coins keep delaying core developments over and again.
How could you extract information about the white paper just by the sneak preview? That was just one page with some nice graphic - do you mean you hope that that graphic will be implemented within 2018? Let's be serious. Let's wait for the release of the whitepaper before we praise it and make statements about it. |

I have tried to setup a masternode but when I am trying to start the masternode I am getting the error message "can not locate [whatever - I don't remember the exact word]". What could be the reason?
You should to get status 9, it can include error message, it's a normal. MN gets status 9 after 15 confirmations. I don't know what "status 9" means - You mean there is no way to setup a masternode before coinns have 15 confirmations? In the past it seems I have beenn able to setup masternodes quite fast. |
