Jack, if you go to the first post of this OP, you will find links and info on all the types of boxes etc etc... Cheers

Thanks owl - I did read though all that though.  Maybe I missed what I was looking for?  Trying to see if the standard boxes have some sort of known limit like the X series, where they are simply gone once all sold out.

I believe the box above is a "Hobby box" .... They run about 100 bucks a box. I believe these are limited. There are some and others for sale here, just by a quick google search -

https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-topps-allen-ginter-baseball-cards

Pretty sure X was limited and is not printing anymore... Not an expert tho, beware! Tongue

Right - I heard the X's sold out quick quick quick.  I was surprised to easliy order the Hobby box though.  It was even discounted with ~2 or 3 day delivery (I forget now).

Best to have fun and enjoy, the mini I sent you is the A&g back, more sought after than the plain back but, not to be confused with the blank back which is, in my opinion is the holy grail of all the cards.  Have fun
1284  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: January 16, 2019, 08:30:05 PM
As of today there has not been any Ginter x red or silver mini's from the entire set that has scored higher than a 9.  My thought is unless you have more than one red mini it's going to be a reach to get the PSA 10.  A handful of black mini's will probably get you for sure one PSA 10 out of the group, maybe.  However, the red mini's are so darn rare graded or not they are already worth higher than I can count. lol  Happy trails everyone, keep looking Smiley Smiley

Usually in August but, no decisions on the inserts yet for A&G, personally I would like to see some kind of crypto related inserts in the basketball and hockey sets.  Smiley Smiley

I have always enjoyed sharing with others and hope the ride on this crypto card train has been both profitable and most of all fun for all.  The hunt for the elusive 1/1 silver and a few more red mini's continues on but, the hunt keeps getting a little more expensive .  Shocked
1293  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: January 15, 2019, 05:11:54 AM
My subjective guess of the 7's value is based on today's market...3 years from now I know it could be monumentally different. However, the dramatic differences in prices are often reflected in the price guide. The fact that these are, let's NOT forget, the Cryptocurrency ROOKIES we're talking about....we all stand to make some serious dough ray me. Just have to maintain the same principals...HODL.  Wink

*And be careful of what you purchase now.

The 2018 A&G #83 card is without a doubt 100% the MLB true rookie card and the 2013 Crypto card is the (XRC) .  If anyone starts looking for it enjoy the hunt it is truly a lot of fun.  Cool

I hate that I'm late to this card party... can't justify buying in now after such a parabolic price run.  Collected baseball and basketball cards as a kid so i wouldve peed myself had I seen all this a few months ago.  sigh...

Hey Jack, I'll start you off and send you a regular mini #83 no charge I have a few extras.  Enjoy the ride.  Roll Eyes
1296  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: January 14, 2019, 08:31:33 PM
With a bad corner and a bad edge.......it won't be a grade that anyone in here would want, that's for sure. I think it depends on the person grading it. It's anyone's call, because it's so subjective. If it is in fact a 7, then the ask is too high. I'd put it at the $300- $350, maybe a lower range. But that too is subjective....soooo...yeah. Just think Beckett's price guide, and the dramatic differences between each level grade. BIG difference in prices with the lower grades. That will never change. That's why we will see a rush to market with these low grade cards now. Trying to optimize their profits. Beware. Especially if it's a NO RETURNS item, you may have a battle on your hands.

You need to remember that arn't that many of these cards so a 7 could go quite high, just not quite yet
1297  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: January 14, 2019, 08:28:56 PM
Keep seeing the ungraded version, makes one wonder if it's already been graded...given a low grade....taken from the slab and then attempting to resell in ebay at an elevated value. A contributing factor to the increase in value of the already graded ones, no doubt. Also makes me wonder what a graded PSA 9 would fetch now. Anyone care to take a guess? I was recently offered $900 for a graded 9 card, I passed on it and I feel that I did the right thing.  Tongue

* At least this guy admits that the card is not mint. Smiley

Venture a guess as to what it would grade? 7ish?

I think 7 is right, just fyi when you send a card in to be graded you can request a minimum grade and if it doesnt meet it the card is returned unslabbed.  Then you put it on the market as ungraded.  We all like buying a card with the potential of a 10 .  My opinion of a psa 9 value is around 1500+.  I had these in sets originally and couldn't hardly get any interest except a few like GP and bitcoinmagazine lol.
