There was succesfull trades from him, so i trusted the guy.

I want to address the current issue of people purchasing others place in line, as it were, for pre-orders for BFL equipment.

Let me say up front that we don't have a problem with this.  However, we also can not be responsible if you get scammed, so you must be cautious and do your due diligence when purchasing someone elses place in line.

What BFL will do is confirm that a person has an order if you provide us with the persons name and their order number.  Beyond that, we are not a broker of places in line and as such, we can't change names on orders or anything like that (it would be an accounting nightmare).  We will simply confirm that the person has an order and whether or not what you think you're buying is what they actually have.

That said, please make sure you verify that the person you are dealing with is honest and that they have a legitimate order.  I would also recommend that you make the details of your order sales/purchasing public on the forums, so that there is some sort of record of it.

We can not help you if you get scammed, though.

That's a shame. It's amazing how unhelpful every website has been in tracking down someone who has scammed me. I would of thought the Bitcoin Community would have wanted to send a message that if you scam one of us, we will track you down and do everything in our power to correct the injustice that has been bestowed upon a member.

Problem is that what proof is there that you may have been scammed? What if the issue at hand is that the person that claims to have been scammed is in fact the scammer themselves.

I get what you are saying, but I think there is more than enough evidence https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=106199.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=102351.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=106095.0 in these three posts.

Hypothetically let's say  I found information about an order that was placed and then claim that the order is mine and that I wish to sell it to the highest bidder.

To avoid being scammed in this nature I would as a potential buyer ask to verify the order. By getting BFL first to verify the seller's claim on an active paid in full order. You can then confirm that they are indeed the person holding the order by having BFL send both you and the seller cc emails. Now you can both reply with your own confirmation information.

At this stage of the game you are dealing with "real names" and "real contact information". This way the seller and buyer are reasured by BFL's involvment that all parties are invoilved in this tranaction.

And lastly always do everything in your power to not be scammed by the man in the middle fraud.

Bfl did not answered to this question, hopfuly it will now, becasue that BTC guy is clearly the scamer, proof is more than enough. We need every information they have.

Hello.

Many of us is scamed by this person, tryed to buy preorders.
In that thread and other stated there is plenty of proof that guy is a scammer. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=106416.msg1168354#msg1168354

Just to be clear! He's talking about BTCguy, where there are discussions about him in this thread and this one. He's NOT talking about me, but his post does kinda look like it when you first glance at it.

Sorry, corrected that  Wink

He had to have a bankaccount he may have transfer funds to, or if he bought items, even if he open a false account, he had them shipped to his real address to receive any items he may have bought with the funds.

He using multiple bitcoin wallets, if anybody had received from him some stuff, there could be his adress. Also would be interesting to know his ip, admin?

What are you using to cool down those vrms? What tems you got with that setup on gpu/vrm?
Some of those watered vga's looks similar to corsair H60/h80 series, is it?

Just using some spare 92mm fans for the cards and a 120mm fan on the bench setup.  The 7870 doesn't have any heatsinks on the MOSFETs and the 7950 already had a metal plate installed over the power circuity.

The 7870 doesn't have any monitoring for the VRMs but with the 7950 it is usually about 72°C versus 86°C before.  The GPU dropped quite a bit - on the 7870 it went from 73°C down to 44°C and the 7950 went from 82°C down to 47°C.

The one on the left is a Thermaltake WATER2.0 Performer and WATER2.0 Pro on the right.  They're very similar to the Antec H20 Kuhler series which all share the same OEM, Asetek.  On my bench, I'm using the Performer for my 7950 and it cools adequately (GPU: 55°C / VRM: 71°C).

What model of 7950 is that?
My reference 7970 cooler have no metal plate over vrms, so they got hot when i putted accelero xtreme 7970 on it, although i have instaled vrm heatsinks, temps are higher then with reference cooler ~ 100

The reference 7970 cooler cools the VRMs directly, but the accelero needs a VRM heatsink, and you will see higher VRM temps.

Yes.

Thats why i stept back to refernce cooler, could not cool vrms good enogh Sad
Any ideas, experience with custom vrm coolers?

Is it just me, but last day i had very poor spped with my 7970 rig and 5870 rig with different cgminer versions.

Thought maybe its pool foult, changed that BTCguild is my primary pool, but after a wile ist again the same.
Till now it was E: ~ 92%, now its 74 - 83. Speed was 675 now its  633, card with the same settings.

Anyone else got similar problem? Pool are ABCpool, BTCguild, Deepbit
539  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 100BTC -> WF Transfer / WF Cash Deposit on: August 27, 2012, 10:00:23 PM
Scratch that I'll sell 'em all! I already sold about 50BTC. So I have around 200 left. I was going to just be ridin' dirty but decided to roll clean and actually pay to get my license un-suspended.

No more comunication from thsi user, possible scam.
540  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 on slot 1 getting less MH/s any ideas? on: August 27, 2012, 05:53:00 PM
Also, you could get Alot more mh/s
with GPU 1200MHz, Memory 600MHz; -v 1 -w 256 Diablo Kernal, You should hit 710mh/s
But obviously not everyone has a 7970 that can hit 1200core
Where it is possible to change these settings in cgminer? In guiminer i had optimized my 5870's, now running 7970 @ 1180/160 getting average 680 Mh/s, could i squeez more?
You can either add these options into the command line, or you can add them into the config file. Either works.
Can you please post here how it looks in your comand line? Offcorse without any personal inforamtion. Thanks and +1 guaranteed Smiley
I'm at work right now, so I can't see what my exact options are. From memory, it looks something like this:

C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe -o http://YOURPOOL:8332 -O YOURUSERNAME:YOURPASSWORD --temp-target 60 --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 800-1200 --gpu-fan 90 -k poclbm -v 1 -w 64 -I 9

In reality, I have all this written to a config file (with multiple pools), but this is how you would type it out.

Thanks. will try it later

Tryed. First impressions: have no big difference from cgminer default setting, nor with W64, not with w256, who is more suitable for 7970 ?
