Hash rate looks amazing, 50mh/s for 1080ti in Eth without much optimization.

How much is the dev fee by the way?

If there DEV fee?
No, but it deserves

OhGodaGirl and VirosaGITS do you have interest to make something like "the magical pill" to GTX1070 and 1060? I know the performance gain would be smaller (because GDDR5 have tighter timings) but every 0,1MH/s is a cent for the eletricty bill  Grin

Incredible job, as always!

Its not even that, this mod is not a solution for GDDR5 at all. Cheers.
Thanks, Virosa.

I've read your reply in GDDR5 timings thread, the gain won't expressive in GDDR5 (around 0,1~0,3MH/s) and I understand why it wont be released for GDDR5 GPUs.

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: April 24, 2018, 11:47:09 AM
I'm guessing this thread is expected to be AMD, but GTX 1060-1070ti are also GDDR5, has anyone made leeway there?

I seem to find that the expected timing enhancements do not bring much enhancement. GDDR5X has been a lot more interesting but i suppose that would be OT.

AFAIK Nvidia timings are not changeable, be it GDDR5 or GDDR5X

I was under the same impression until some time ago. I thought its possible to have something in the works, and it turns out i was correct to myself. It is not possible for the public. There are some stuff, which are confidential and allow some sort of control.

Of course, I didn't say its impossible, but keys are distributed to card manufacturers and probably under very strict NDA

Those card makers have to be able to program their cards firmware, after all Smiley

I'm very curious about this. But I think it wont bee available to common users.

It can be a new biosmod revolution

OhGodACompany has solution to edit and make nvidia bios mods and could thus sell mods, the first problem is the hardware can reject the change. And to actually hardware flash it you need a eeprom hardware flasher and the onboard security can refuse to load the bios, as in soft brick it/refuse to boot GPU. This is because the signature included in whatever bios you modded this in does not allow/include the mod as valid. Our mod is considered as invalid or corrupted.

Mind you this is a problem for GTX cards, not the mining cards.

The second problem:

I'm guessing this thread is expected to be AMD, but GTX 1060-1070ti are also GDDR5, has anyone made leeway there?

I seem to find that the expected timing enhancements do not bring much enhancement. GDDR5X has been a lot more interesting but i suppose that would be OT.

Not even 10-20% on an 1060?
That would be also worth it.

Not even, Unlike AMD, Nvidia's timings are really good already and are already using more bandwidth % than most AMD modded RX 400-500! I think i got something like +0.2~0.3 MH/s on a GTX 1070, it's really not impressive.

About the first problem:
That's why your company did it by software. I realize you can apply it by software like "ETHlargement" with custom mods (not just 50MH/s, but more). But about the mods directly in the BIOS, I think you could ask for help from OC'ers.

I explain:
When the mods was considered impossible, there was no reason to spend time in validation bypass. But showing it's possible, more people can try it, even devs that are not miners (OC'ers that want to take advantage in some benchmark to win a competition).

If it works, you could still selling the "premium" timings (according your post you have a tool to decode/encode the timings, like OhGodADecode) and more people could make their own mods only with RRD/FAW.

It's good to see GDDR5 is good without straps. We had a black box, so we didin't knew about the best hipothetical performance. Now we know. 0.3MH/s is 1%. Ya, is "meh", and would attract many people asking for more performance (and not donating at least 1 satoshi). Understand you dont release the mod for then.

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.4.7 on: April 23, 2018, 02:26:09 PM
V1.4.7
- Added shutdown_temperature parameter (in config.txt) which shuts down the system, default is 95c if not set
- Added average time to find share in stats
- Added keepalive option in pools to prevent possible connection timeouts (pool must support this method)
- Possible fix for Nicehash "job not found"
- Added kernel parameter to gpu_conf

: Keepalive does not work with Nanopool, Nicehash, Minergate. Maybe some others too. Even if you set it to TRUE on these pools, it will auto turn them off.
: kernel parameter can be used so if you have a mixed gpu rig with new+old cards, and the old ones work better with pre-gcn kernels for example

Thanks, doc!

About old cards: my old R7 260X is coming from reballing and I want to ask for who have old GCN2 cards:
SRB is beating (very) old Claymore 9.7? If yes, what configuration I can start from?

I'll try mine with then to see if it's profitable Smiley

Thanks in advance

CryptoNight-Heavy
Sumokoin (SUMO)
Haven (XHV)
~ 1500 k/h  ((((
2000k/h HuhHuh??
Help
It's CryptoNight-Heavy, hash rate will decrease.

Because of what less?

Cryptonight-Heavy uses more memory and needs to process more data, so it is slower than Cryptonight
Not always, 4ward.

RX580 8GB (at least Samsung ICs) can do ~1050H/s en Cryptonight/V7 and ~2100H/s+ in Cryptonight-Heavy. But I think it's an exception.

But yes, for Vega Cryptonight and V7 is faster.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining w/ 4 AMD 580 GPUs on: April 22, 2018, 12:40:45 AM
A correctly overclocked/undervolted RX580 consumes around 120W mining ETH and less mining XMR

i try with low mem clock and low gpu clock but error again.

I think is a pool/network issue

Hi Guys,

anyone have settings for RX580 8giga?

not only intensity, also threads, worksize etc...

Thx for help

Luisa
It's hard to say it generically. What are your memory? Micron, Hynix or Samsung?
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.4.4 on: April 19, 2018, 02:11:09 PM
It is hynix 1170/2150  modded bios  , they make 30 on eth that way and 940 on sumo

for cryptonight algo big metter only gpu core clock, if your gpu can do 1250-1300mhz - you will see ~1000h/s per card.
Just overclock gpu to 1300mhz and clock down memmory to 2050mhz
Well after 1400/2100 the hashrate got lower from 830-50 to 790 . So this is not a good decision or I am doing something wrong?

1. try to downclock memory more, to 2000 or 2050
2. have you downvolt the core?
3. may be you should try different timings for you memory, in my cases (over 20 gpus) this work for cpyptonight like a charm. All of my cards have hynix memory and to all of them i flashed identical timings, if you want to i can post it here so you can try

I have also hynix and got also lower hashrate to 780. i have sapphire rx580 8gb hynix. I used oneclick in polaris but obviously didn't work.
i have gpu at 1300mhz and 950mV and memory at 2050 and 875mV. Let me know what to do to get 1.000.

try to flash this timings:
777000000000000022C39C00AC595A3D90550F12B84C8408004006007E0514206A8900A00200312 0100F292F94273116

or this

999000000000000022C39C00AC595A3D90550F123CCF530C004006007E0514206A8900A00200312 0100F292F94273116

I think these timings are for Hynix 4GB, not the 8GB ones.

I suggest to use the SRBPolaris's PimpMyStraps or One-click straps from PolarisBiosEditor. It's safe and improve performance. Oh PM me if you wanna more performance.

If you already have a biosmoded GPU, maybe you need to deal with the intensity.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Simple Cryptonight profit calculator on: April 18, 2018, 12:28:44 PM
Hi man!

To see your calculator is my daily task lol

A "bug" (because fork): Turtlecoin is showed as Cryptonight coin in "Facts", but after fork is Cryptonight-Lite V1. So, I can't know if its based in cryptonight or lite hashrate.

The main screen is fine, using Cryptonight-Lite hashrate.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.7.2* (Plugin) on: April 18, 2018, 11:50:11 AM
Is there any way you can add support for the following?

{ CoinFullName: "Graft", CoinShortName: "GRFT", Algo: "CryptoNight", BlockReward: 1718.7348, BlockTime: 120, BlockExplorer: "https://blockexplorer.graft.network/api/networkinfo"}

I believe the following 2 use the same software but if not if you could add those as well I'd appreciate it greatly. If I can only get one though Graft is absolutely the choice.

{ CoinFullName: "Stellite", CoinShortName: "XTL", Algo: "CryptoNight", BlockReward: 17962.55, BlockTime: 60, BlockExplorer: "https://explorer.stellite.cash/api/networkinfo"}
{ CoinFullName: "Haven", CoinShortName: "XHV", Algo: "CryptoNight", BlockReward: 32.4862 , BlockTime: 120, BlockExplorer: "https://explorer.havenprotocol.com/api/networkinfo"}

Much thanks, this plugin is huge for me.  Would love to be able to capitalize on some of these cryptonight coins when they surge by building a profit profile with them.
Maybe using a "minerpool" method (if possible) in sites like https://cryptoisme.com

I do use that site & https://www.cryptunit.com to find which coin is the most valuable but I'm having to manually enter their difficulty into awesome miner whenever I mine them.

I'd like for the coins values to auto update so that I can build a profit switching profile to do that for me.

Several of them seem to use similar explorer's so I'm hoping getting graft & the other 2 I listed added will allow me to then add some of the others.  But if not those are the 3 that I've been switching between the most lately so that would be a huge help alone.
Yeah. I see it often.

I think is possible to "pick" the diff/value from these sites to AM Coin Updater, but only soothaa can answer if it could be possible.

Hi dorktor83. I'm stick at your miner, although have AwesomeMiner. Ya, SRBMiner is kicking asses!  Grin

But patrike spoke if SRBMiner has a working API he could add it in AwesomeMiner support (would be great). Do you have plans to make an API for SRBMiner?

thanks Smiley
yes , i have it in plan, smos dev is also waiting on me to make an API Smiley
Thank you

I tested yesterday the 1.4.2 version (I didn't see the 1.4.3 before go to work). Ya, it's faster! The tunning is a bit different from 1.3.x, but with some intensity play everything is better than expected.

Do you have plans to support/improve other algos? We miss a sgminer like tvuprot's ccminer, with a great performance for most algorithms. My AwesomeMiner have around 10 differents sgminers, one for each algorithm  Lips sealed

There may be some tweaking needed but I am very pleased with my Rx470's 8GB (Samsung) at 1260/2000 averaging 1014 H/s with an UberMix 3.1 strap with Monerov7.  All 40 cards are stable, especially after manually setting difficulty as the payment ID extension.  Really looking forward to API so I can use my Awesome Miner software with it.
What intensity/threads are you using?

Ajusting manually can improve it, but no much. Mine 580 8GB Samsung can do around 1050~1060H/s in V7 (is better in Heavy) at 1280/2010.

I dont see the CN-heavy hashrate fluctuation anymore. It just goin up for some minutes to the max. I see a 1% improvement at CN-V7 and around 3% at Heavy.

Devfee is all for you, I am not a greedy bastard. I just like Greed (FullMetal Alchemist character).
