2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2018, 11:33:30 AM
Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.
i think this question is not something that can be easily answered. Because, like we all already know, maybe the technological side, the world is ready with cryptocurrency. But, i think the problem is on the person. Many people still not ready with the changes that crypto brought. But, im sure that sooner or later, the world will be ready with crypto.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The truth about bitcoin on: August 06, 2018, 06:25:42 AM
To judge if bitcoin is worth to invest in, you may consider this universal monetary rule:

There is NO good, easy, risk free money, that is available for everyone.

If the money good and risk free, it is called a heritage and it is not available for everyone.
If the money is good and available for everyone, its is called an entrepreneurship and its not risk free nor usually easy.
If the money is risk free and available for anyone, it is called a salary, but that is usually not very good.

If anyone claims, that money is good, easy, risk free and anyone can get their share of it, it is essentially a scam. Doesnt matter if You are being scammed with money, electricity or just waste of time. It also doesnt matter if there are several people who get scammed big time at once or millions, that are scammed bit by bit, it is still a scam. Any deal, where people are attracted with false promises and where the nature of their investment is kept hidden by purpose, is a scam. Bitcoin is not what promised and that fact is being disguised now.

I think the problem is when the people ccan easily think that bitcoin or even altcoin is instant source of income. They aim that bitcoin or altcoin can give them a lot of profit without they doing a deep research about it first. That misconception, often lead many people in the wrong direction when they want to jumped out in bitcoin market. Anyway, thank you for this opinion, i highly appreciated that! Smiley
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Indonesia is not legal on: August 06, 2018, 06:08:30 AM
Bitcoin in Indonesia is not legal yet, all buying and selling activities must use rupiah. In the past many sellers offered payment with bitcoin, now they can't. the government has given regulations so that all trading activities must use the rupiah. will this be a negative or a positive impact?
I think Indonesia only have a little impact for the crypto market in general, because the volume or the amount of people who use bitcoin in Indonesia is not as big as in the other country. The governments of Indonesia, don't directly banned the usage of bitcoin, but they just warn their people because of the high risk that bitcoin have.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine. on: August 05, 2018, 08:28:40 AM
why does everyone start to panicking when they see the price of Bitcoin dropping so much, in my opinion it is natural that the price of Bitcoin falls because Bitcoin has experienced the same thing as now, so I suggest not to be afraid and panic.

we will see from this graphic :
1. On April 29, 2013 the price of Bitcoin was only $ 135.30

2. and on November 30, 2013 the price of Bitcoin increase high at the price of $ 1,149.14

3. then on January 2, 2014 the price of Bitcoin decreased at a price of $ 773.40 and on December 31, 2016 the price of Bitcoin began to increase again

4. and the price of Bitcoin began to rise high at the price of $ 19,783.30 on the 17th of December 2017

and as we know, now the price of Bitcoin at $ 6,948.46 and this is indeed down very far compared to prices on December 17, 2017, but it has already happened in 2014 where the price of Bitcoin dropped very far and it continues until 2016 and in 2017 finally Bitcoin prices start to increase again (it takes around 3 years to make Bitcoin prices rise). so from that, I'm sure the price of Bitcoin will increase again even though the time needed is not short.

First, thank you so much for this, you made a great opinion. Second, i also have the same thought with you, i think its a normal for bitcoin to have fluctuative movements like that because of many factors that involved in it. But,some people still easily get panic attack everytime the price of bitcoin is not going like what they want. As a person who believe in bitcoin im sure that bitcoin will be fine.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the benefits of managing bitcoin on: August 05, 2018, 04:16:34 AM
when bitcoin prices are drops, I think we better talk more about the positive value of bitcoin. do not think about the value of bitcoin today, because thinking about it will only make us panic and confused. enough G20 make us calm.

So, now. we are talking about the benefits of bitcoin if bitcoin managed well.

what do you think if bitcoin is managed well by a country?
I think if a country can managed well bitcoin, they will get a maximum advantages of bitcoin which is good for their financial system.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the vehicle, we run it on: August 04, 2018, 05:44:57 AM
A lot of posts are about bitcoin (eg bitcoin for illegal transactions ... bitcoins change lives ... bitcoin destroys the world ... bitcoin poison and so on) but basically it's all humans that move .. bitcoin is the tool. Good bad how the tool is how the man who runs. is it worth blaming bitcoin. What is your opinion?
Its a great point of view, and i also think the same way like you do. Many people blame bitcoin, and they forget that the only run bitcoin itself is us. So, when the bitcoin can not give the maximum profit for them, i think its their fault not the bitcoin itself.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency? on: August 04, 2018, 05:33:07 AM
I have a friend who is interested in getting into bitcoins but he does not have a lot of savings or any major investments. He also has a lot of debts to pay and has an average wage job with a family of 4 to raise. When we were talking yesterday, I thought: who really would benefit the most from investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Can those who are like my friend get into bitcoin even though he has no major investment? Or is bitcoin only for those who can afford it?
i think the reason behind why bitcoin is quite popular right now, is because they don't need a lot of capital to jumped out or join the bitcoin market, you can start your journey with only small amount of assets. Everyone can use bitcoin, no matter how amount of their assets. Whether they started it from big capital or small capital. But, i think your friend have to make deep calculation first, because like you've been know bitcoin is very risky, and if your friend is ready with that risk, theres no reason for him/her to turn back in bitcoin.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investments? on: August 04, 2018, 05:27:55 AM
When big boys enter the picture, the rule has changed. Bitcoin then becoming a fprm of investments, and no longer the original vision of satoshi, iguess its really inevitable, specially during the 2016-2017 when it peaked at around$20,000. It become a speculative asset, and others tske that as a opportunity, trying to make quick bucks, or even putting thier whole life-savings hoping to become rich.

Actually bitcoin some function, and one of them is to be a medium of investment. Right now, bitcoin for investment is more popular than to be a currency, it just because bitcoin as investment seems to be more promising than to be a currency. Beside that, many people is believe that in the future, when the price of bitcoin reach its peak, they can get maximum profit from that investment.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YOU HAVE TO BE A DIE HARD RISK TAKER TO EXCEL IN THE CRYPTO INDUSTRY on: August 03, 2018, 07:38:32 AM
Risk Characteristics
Will Bates was very good with math and science. He felt he was wasting his time in his college classes. Society's message was that a college degree equaled success, but Will wanted to be able to take a different path to achievement. He had some basic characteristics of a risk taker.

Heightened expectations: This is when a manager has goals that can be unrealistic and unattainable to some, but which the risk taker feels very confident will occur. Will felt the drive to start his own technology business. The product was an advanced computer. He was determined to create the prototype himself and dropped out of college to complete the task. He did all the parts of the product development from design and operations to production and even marketing the final prototype. He eventually realized he needed a support team and hired a basic staff. He treated the staff professionally but demanded excellence.
Constant learning: This is when a manager refuses to rest on his or her past performance. They are always researching, testing and looking to learn. Will viewed life as a constant learning journey. He spent years developing his prototype and now constantly works on new technological improvements of his computer.
Embrace change: A manager who embraces change looks forward to a constant flux of new information and is always trying for improvements. Will was willing to quit college, while his friends were graduating and pursuing a career. He lived close to poverty to develop his computer. He was also willing to change his goals in regards to his company throughout its development. Lastly, he is constantly altering his company's product lines and introducing new technological gadgets.
Trust instincts: Many risk takers make decisions based on both intelligent data and a gut instinct. It's a feeling that they have regarding a decision. It usually isn't the safest decision or the most practical, but it can lead to great risk and success. When Will finished his first prototype, he invested all of his money into launching his business. If the business failed, he would have been destitute. Fortunately, his gut was correct, and his computer was a huge success.

Above are the characteristics one need to be a successful investor,  most folks on this platform need to know life itself is volatile,  non of us knows what will become of us in the next five hours,  i would mortgage my house over and over again to invest on dip BTC i bought for $5230.

This industry belongs to the braveheart and the die hard risk takers
Well said, i think this kind of information is really helpful in the middle of some information that just focus in the panic sellers and doubtful people. Those characteristic is indeed so important in this crypto world, we have to be ready enough to face all the unstability and be ready to always take a risk once we jumped out in crypto world.
Thank you anyway for this information!
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a "private" currency? on: August 03, 2018, 07:26:34 AM

I think it is wrong to call bitcoin a "private" currency.

On the contrary, imo bitcoin is much more of a public currency that any national currency is.

I think, bitcoin might be called as a private currency, is because the fact that bitcoin can give us an absolute access in our asset without barrier from the governements or financial institutions that often called the third party. But, in the other hand, i also agree with your opinion that bitcoin is much more like a public currency.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: what could cause bitcoin prices to go up and down? on: August 02, 2018, 04:37:44 AM
I want to know what you think, what affects the bitcoin price, so we can find out when to sell and buy bitcoin, because now the bitcoin price drops again  Huh
We can not just mention one factors that caused the unstable price of bitcoin, because in reality, the price of bitcoin is involving many factors inside it. But, i think, the most things that caused the unstability of bitcoin's price is the amount of supply and demand.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing? on: August 01, 2018, 05:04:33 AM
Most of the common people think that bitcoin is used only by hackers and criminals, even one of my friend said that it is used by hackers when I am telling about crypto currency to him.Later I explained what is bitcoin and other crypto currencies but still he confused,he can only get what is bitcoin when he research about himself.

In this situation how can we explain that what is real bitcoin?
Just tell them to learn and read more about bitcoin before they can say like that..
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin? on: August 01, 2018, 04:51:33 AM
I mean Why bitcoin? Why waste huge energy in mining. As everyone know bitcoin is useless in terms
of usability.
My question to bitcointalk users :

Is this possible that any altcoin become no 1 on coinmarketcap and bitcoin disappeare

I think this can be possible, what you think so comment below...

I know we can not underestimated the power of altcoin, but for now, i think it will be very hard to altcoin to beat the domination of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first, and the most popular coin among all, and if want to break all of that domination, i think we have to wait maybe 10 years from now, but i think it will be very hard.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I CHOSE BITCOIN INVESTMENT OVER BANK INVESTMENT on: July 31, 2018, 11:19:14 AM
Knowing the crypto world was the best thing I have ever done. Today I was given an amount of $20000 by my uncle to make an investment for him at the bank so that by the end of the year he can get some additional money added to his capital. I sat down and calculated and found out that, investing at the bank will give him just $2000 interest.

I then called him and explain to him about cryptocurrency and how secured it is with evidences and it price increment for last year. After seeing it he told me to invest that amount into BITCOIN and I have done it for him. I know that is volatile and can fluctuate but I made time to explain to him that although the market is red now but when the green days come he will get not less thank $25000 added to his capital. I know I did the right thing and he will surely laugh some days to come. What do you think guys?
Bank or bitcoin are good form of investment, every has its own positive and negative side, but im glad if you decided to investing in bitcoin. I hope it can give you some beneficial profit soon Smiley

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: banks investment and the crypto world on: July 30, 2018, 06:06:55 AM
banks and crypto has a very urgent function for economic stability. but, I see today many banks are interested in saving their assets on the crypto world.

call it south Korea, it was reported that the local bank's virtual account balance reached $ 1.79 billion, but this year their assets are low, I think the market in 2017 makes people speculate.

on the other side, the Korean government makes preventive and educative measures by limiting the age of investors, the purpose is to make the crypto market easy to control and transparent.

so, the value of bank assets in the crypto world is still low.
South Korea is very adaptable with the advancement of technology including the matter of cryptocurrency. And i think this is just one of their effort to use the advantages of crypto. We can not deny that right now, its true the value of bank assets in the crypto world is still low. But, as a person who believe in crypto technology, im sure in the next 5 years at least, there will be more bank assets in the crypto world.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung announce to accept crypto and blockchain payment on: July 30, 2018, 06:01:48 AM
There is good news to customers in the Baltic nations of #Latvia, #Estonia and #Lithuania,as #Samsung (one of the largest technology company in the world) has annouced to accept crypto and blockchain payments in the region using the Lithuanian-based payment platform, CopPay
I hope more major platform continue to accept digital currency payment.
I've not read about this, but if this news is true, im sure it can be a stepping stone for crypto payments to be more popular than before. I hope there will be more companies or country that will accept crypto payments.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: July 29, 2018, 04:37:51 AM
Because to my knowledge there are several countries in southeast asia that have not legalized bitcoin. And what is our endeavor for bitcoin in southeast asia to be legal like any other country (which has legalized bitcoin).
Will the impact be positive or negative?
I think its very hard to make all country in Southeast Asia legalize bitcoin, because their have different law regarding to bitcoin. But, we can not close every possibility that might be happen. I hope after this, there will be more country that will legalize bitcoin.
