I think the popularity of bitcoin on twitter is depending on how the value of it rises. If the price is high many people will be able to recognize bitcoin and how this can be earned. But if the price drop down many people will also be lost their interest in it. This kind of fooling people is a marketing strategy for them, investors may attract and think that the project has a huge of investors by showing fake stat. There's nothing we can do is just to have a very dip research while looking a good project. I guess 1-2 days investigating the background of the project will be fine at least you will know.

This is hard to decide on which club you are going to place a bet and you know that your had choosen club is weak and you know that it is the underdog team. If you are not sure don't place to much big amount in placing a bet, just spend that you can afford to lose. Or else if you can cheer the team that you don't like but you are placing a bet just for wanting a profit. But for me, I personally support my club, winner or lose I will be there.
