Chips available: 3,570
Update: 5/20/2013 In order to secure the shipping date, the third batch will be purchased once half the funds are received.
So has batch 3 been purchased?

The 4000 chips reserved has been cancelled? yes, all seems that yes bad news we are at the beginning.....škoda no, už jsem myslel, že je ta objednávka na spadnutí Xiallo What? I don't see any mention of the 4k guy cancelling - indeed t13hydra just mentioned that we might do a 2nd batch as after the 4k guy comes in there'll be less than 900 chips left. We're going buy the fact that the number of chips reserved has gone down from 4000 to 1000. It would be nice if we could get this issue clarified. Thanks!

I mean, the debt isn't a real problem as in we can't pay it back. Usually with the interest rates they set on their bonds (I think it was like .00000001% a while back or something) its not too far ahead of inflation or GDP growth. It would be easy to pay it back if we wanted to (if we just balanced the budget, inflation and interest payments would slowly get rid of it and the US is going to be around for a long time so the bond holders aren't in much of a hurry) but theres no real reason they want to. The real problem with US debt is that it raises lowers demand for other investments (like stocks and bonds) so businesses have less money available and it wastes a good bit of our tax dollars on paying interest. We're not in any risk of defaulting on our debts unless we go into a depression for like 20 years and none of the rest of the world does. People still buy the government's bonds because they are actually the safest place for money that gives interest. Europe has those pesky countries going bankrupt and Asia's using up their cash building up their capital and infrastructure and the rest of the world doesn't have enough money or isn't stable. So basically, its repayable, but no ones ever going to care enough to repay it. My guess is that if it ever goes down, its going to be because of inflation (or not depending on government spending). The government goes for cyclically balanced budget during recessions and then just never realize they made it out.

I was just reading some old posts about and was wondering what happened to them exactly.
I can't seem to find any posts on them after the end of January. Did they get implemented? (I don't think they have yet) Did the die?
Just wondering.

I believe some country, in particular China will ban bitcoins just because it is something they cannot truly control. That will have some impact and to what extent I am not sure but probably reduce the success of bitcoins dramatically because 1 Billion people not being able to use bitcoins is a big deal.
Ithink that China will deny their own people use of Bitcoin because that allows freedom. They will have to deal with the rest of the world using it though. If they don't then they'll lose an awful lot of trade. In general, China hasn't been that successful at blocking the internet. Peer to peer is hard and I don't think they actually want to do anything that hurts their economy's growth in any way.

The longer bitcoin survives the more value it will hold due to an increased/improved infrastructure for facilitating bitcoin payments. There are lots of people working on new and exciting companies, programs, and applications to make bitcoins easier to use/more accessible to the general public.
Yeah, if it gets easier to buy bitcoins. That would help it a lot. Lol it took me like 10 days to set up a dwolla account and get a transaction and now campbx is holding my bitcoins hostage for 30 days. lol Fun.

Just wondering why PPC is so unpopular. It seems like an interesting alt-currency and it implements proof of stake. It doesn't appear that too many people use it though.

Yeah. 10 Mhz on my nvidia gpu. Yay. I'm losing money lol.

How do you get a ripple wallet?

A lot of them are going for faster block creation time? Is this actually better? Does it let transactions go through faster? Or do they just take up more space.

Um, as a small bit of proof, you could post a video of you and your mining hardware. Also a phone number, a couple names, an address, and a ton of pictures would help.

Some of the alt currencies implement new ideas like proof of stake

Hopefully, it should stay about the same. The rate of BTC made should stay approximately contsant. I think. Maybe
