41  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC on: November 20, 2013, 03:44:51 PM
I have to say, arbitrage is a pretty save bet. You only get 1-2% a trade, but its safe.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the end of BTC??? on: November 20, 2013, 03:32:35 PM
If btc was going to end, it would have been when it dropped from 250 - 100 . Right now, its too popular to "die".
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the bitcoin rise make any of you feel as scared as I do? on: November 19, 2013, 04:05:16 AM
Selling is a dangerous game in a bull market like this.  Don't sell.  This is STILL just the tip of the iceberg if you're in it for the long haul.  If you're in the game for like, the next week, now might be okay to sell, but even that I'm not sure of anymore.  I sold some at $250 and bought back in at $400 at a huge loss, but I'm still profiting so far.  My strategy has changed to long buy, even on major altcoins.  It's just not worth the risk in this market.

Yeah, I switched to a long buy arbitrage investment plan after the drop from 150 to 50 and back up to 120 a couple of months ago and lost out on the short term trades. But still, the amount of money I have locked up now just makes my finger itch SO MUCH to pull the trigger on that sell button...
44  Economy / Speculation / Does the bitcoin rise make any of you feel as scared as I do? on: November 19, 2013, 03:30:43 AM
After, the bitcoin increase (I bought in when it was about $150) and does it make any of you feel as nervous as me? I suddenly realize I have ALOT of money in bitcoins. My entire life savings (well I'm just a college student so it doesn't amount to TOO much but after that over 400% returns its a large amount of money to me). I feel a drop coming, but I'm not sure and I sold a couple bitcoins earlier and feel bad about it, so I'm so nervous on when I should sell (or if I should sell) and how much to sell. Its freaking me out!!!!

47  Economy / Auctions / Klondike 16 ASIC Bitcoin miner (Estimated 4.5 GHash/sec) from steamboat batch 3 on: August 26, 2013, 07:46:32 PM
Auction Ends 2013-09-02, 01:00 am EST

I am selling a Klondike 16 from batch 3 of the steamboat group purchase.
It is expected to be able to mine up at 4.5 Ghash/s (possibly more with overclocking).
It will come with the fully assembled pcb, a heat sink, and a fan.
You will be able to assemble the fully operational unit with just a screwdriver.
All you need to is to plug it into a power supply with pci-express to start hashing.

Order for chips was submitted to Avalon on May 22, 2013 and the chips are expected to arrive within a couple days (I can't guarantee this timeframe however, because it is outside of my control). I will ship the Klondike 16 miner to you as soon as I receive it.

48  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick question on Btc-e fees on: July 12, 2013, 01:26:54 PM
Yeah, nvm. I didn't see that on their page. Smiley You can probably still go through one of their 3d party services though.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick question on Btc-e fees on: July 12, 2013, 12:14:09 PM
Well, most of the cost will probably be from your bank's foreign wire fee.

There's probably also a wire receiving fee on btces side. Their actual trading fee is only like .2% though.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC price tomorrow will be 1 BTC = ? on: July 08, 2013, 11:10:12 PM
I'm bored and feeling good so tomorrow the entire world is going to somehow adopt Bitcoin as its main currency.

$100,000

54  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / New Profitability Calculator that accounts for Lead Time on: June 22, 2013, 05:21:20 AM
Hey everyone,
I've been trying to do calculations about difficulty and profitability for some of the group buy and getting tired for using google.com for my calculations so I made a profitability calculator that allows you to estimate profitability with lead time. I thought that I'd publish it so you guys can use it if you want. The UI doesn't look the best yet and I plan on outputting a couple more calculations and trying to put in some default "profiles" for some of the new miners in the pipeline. Please PM or post if you have any suggestions or find any bugs.

http://coinfaucets.com/calculator/index.php

Warning: This site only gives estimates of profitability. Use at your own risk.

PS: The faucet doesn't work. I thought about trying to set one up and then realized that the .0005 (now .0001) fee sort gets in the way of that and then I got really busy.

57  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 16] on: June 17, 2013, 03:59:29 PM
Based on recent posts, it looks like Terrahash is using Avalon chips, so it doesn't make sense to have their Lead Time be August and all the others be delayed to November. That said, I still don't understand why those are delayed all the way out to November. Based on the Sample Chips being shipped and recent communication from Avalon I don't think they'll be delayed by months.
A lot of people ask for this, but nobody has sent me a link showing that this is a reasonable assumption.  I've asked a lot of questions and none have been answered.

Well, what about the Terrahash thing. They definitely are using Avalon chips and they're not getting them any sooner than those group buys. It gives a false impression.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Total amoubt of transaction fees being paid on: June 16, 2013, 10:14:02 PM
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew the average ammount of transaction fees that are currently included in ewch block. Does anyone know how to find this data?
59  Economy / Marketplace / Re: WTS 71 Gh/s Avalon Unit in hand - overnight shipping on: June 15, 2013, 12:53:25 AM
Ouch. I wish I had enough for these. I think that's a great price. Even with the rising difficulty, if it were to double you'd still be looking at 1BTC+ a day. That will likely be another few months I think, and in that time you should have already reached ROI so the rest past that would be pure profit.

Sorry, but I thibk difficulty is going to double about every month now.
60  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling 15,000 BTC at $0.20/BTC on: June 13, 2013, 04:01:30 AM
We have 15,000 BTC for sale at $0.20 per BTC (below market price). We only accept cash by mail.

http://www.bitcoin2cash.com/

Wow, just read it again. Great use of the Parens there.
That's all you noticed after reading it again.
 Shocked

Well the mail by cash is standard operating procedure in scams. The misleading title is whats interesting.

BTW: I didn't read any of the other 6 pages on this topic so I actually have no idea if its a scam. It could be legit maybe. idk.
