1  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: October 22, 2018, 01:55:25 AM
The advantages are vast bitcoin is fast becoming mainstream and more widely available.

I would point out that the disadvantage I feel is people jumping in at the wrong time. I have seen people jump into bitcoin and make mega bucks and the other extreme of the table lose it all and end up with nothing.

Always keep this in mind.

Quitting while your ahead... Is not the same as quitting..

I agree. However, right now, I can tell you that it has more disadvantages than advantages, therefore, if you really are serious with investing, then I urge you to keep at it and continue. However, if you are just doing it without any clear purpose and you just feel like you're being drawn to it because of the many comments and things people has to say about it, then I suggest you think things through because the cryptocurrency market is not an easy one to be one. For one, the return may take time since the increases come and go. Also, the market is usually at a constant stand still, thus, it's very hard which venture would be best to try, especially if you're a beginner. Also, you really have to invest a lot of time and patience, to some that in itself is hard to do.

I guess you cannot  feel the disadvantages of bitcoin if you just keep believing on it. Through making an Investment of it by holding it in a long time with patience ofcourse, because if we just notice  market value of bitcoin
It is  increasing year by year, so I guess this is one of the important aspect the advantages of bitcoin.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the correct time to purchase bitcoins and al-crypto? on: October 21, 2018, 10:02:36 PM
Very few of us have seen first rise and nose-dive of bitcoin. Then came the tremendous growth report of bitcoin which forced the world to take bitcoin and alt-coin seriously. This tremendous growth soon started to get correctly. That is from 16000 USD to ~6200 USD correction has happened so far. As as of now the prices have remained stable about 6000 USD.

Do you think this the better time to go for bitcoin purchase spree again? As from the bitcoin price history bitcoin has shown tendency to spike periodically.
Considering the bitcoin  novelty has worn off across the glob, Now there is sufficient awareness about the bitcoin and crypto. what could be the driving factors If yes then what could be the driving factors for the growth? As previous factors may be less significant this time.

I guess anytime you can buy bitcoin to invest as long as you believe in crypto especially in bitcoin technology despite in the bearish market happened, but I believed there is coming bull run market thats why ill still keep holding my remaining bitcoin.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Investments Why Risky? on: October 21, 2018, 09:30:27 PM
Ico's investment is very risky because many ico projects are scam, need to be careful in choosing a quality ico project, you need to know the core team and also the ideas of the project.

Better to stick with the many existing cryptos. They have proven records, a real team, and so on. While a lot of cryptos are useless there are some good ones.

I guess its the same situation mate because in the existing cryptos  still have a scam coin which had a bad market and it mostly list in yobit exchange. In ICO  project you can choose a better project as long it has full detailed in whitepaper and already meet the softcap.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: October 19, 2018, 05:55:15 AM
I think no one can replace bitcoin because if there is, it should already happened long time ago. We all kno that boitcoin is still dominating the crypto world and I think no other coins can do that.

Yes, the same to you mate there will be no other crypos will replace bitcoin in the future even if theres a lot of altcoins launching with high potential like denaro, ripple and others. bitcoin has a lot feature and until now its continues developed its market abd I guess in the near future bitcoin will be more valuable by many people.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It’s very easy to trade Bitcoin on: October 18, 2018, 09:14:24 AM
For beginners, what they have in their mind is the complexity of using bitcoin in any legit cryptocurrencies worldwide. Maybe, time will come that bitcoin will be easy to use as easy as you're using fiat currency as more and more people are utilizing it already.

Yeah you're right and by gradually accepting bitcoin by some advance countries it is the sign that bitcoin has evolving. Bitcoin will be more convenient to used by keep being fame in the crypto market and might be in the society as well because of that it will gain more trust to many people and many will have confident to used it.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: October 18, 2018, 08:37:06 AM
Waves is certainly a good coin, but the market has conquered ethereum. It will not be very easy to bite off a piece from this market of smart contracts. The waves project team does not stand still and each time improves its blockchain, but ethereum is also developing, but there are serious problems there. In the future, some of them will come out on top and may even overtake bitcoin.

I doubt that thing that etherium and waves might overtake bitcoin, however they're both potential to rise its value and by its fame to the crypro world, but I believed no ones will replace bitcoin technology because the more years to come the more countries adopt bitcoin. So on these scenario bitcoin will remain survive in long years.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade or HODL? on: October 18, 2018, 08:13:33 AM
Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.

I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?

I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).

Any thoughts? TIA

You should keep holding your alts portfolio while you're still stage of learning from cryptos. Once you gathered enough knowledge from here or sites that might help you to learn trading, you may proceed practice trading by picking up some of your alts thats you think not reallly valuable from you
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency? on: October 17, 2018, 09:45:32 AM
Discuss about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. For me, this is an interesting topic because bitcoin issues are often the talk, including confusion in many quarters. What is cryptocurrency? What is bitcoin? How does the regulator respond to the development of the current crypto currency? And how is the bitcoin phenomenon going forward?

In its purest form, cryptocurrency or crypto currency is a kind of electronic cash that can be sent directly from person to person (peer-to-peer) without going through financial institutions, or banks. Generally if we are currently sending funds or money to other parties, of course, must be processed through the bank. In this case, the bank serves as an intermediary. Well in this crypto technology, the payment is made directly without an intermediary. Transactions conducted between two parties in a network are then verified through a specific encoding process or cryptography. Well, Bitcoin is one of the existing cryptocurrency types, and is popular. In addition to Bitcoin there are more than a few crypto currencies similar to various names, such as ethereum, litecoin, etc. Many of these crypto currencies are short of devotees until they die one by one. In Bitcoin, if there are transactions of two persons, the other party in the network that can decode or verify the occurrence of the transaction, will be rewarded with bitcoin. This step is known as mining bitcoin (mining).

From what I've learned before, that David Yermack, researcher at the Bureau of Economic Research, New York University (2016) that bitcoin still fails to meet the criteria as a currency. It cites the basic functions of a currency, the medium of exchange, the a store of value, and the unit of account. Of the three criteria, bitcoin does not qualify as money. Yermack doubts that bitcoin can be a currency or means of payment acceptable to today's audiences. I agree with the analysis. If we look at bitcoin volatility in recent years is very high, much higher than the existing currency. This has an impact on the difficulty of calculating the short-term risks of bitcoin. In addition, the exchange rate of bitcoin in the day to day does not correlate at all with any currency in the world, nor with commodities such as gold for example. This makes bitcoin useless in risk management and difficult for the owner to hedge.

Let's look at one by one the money function on bitcoin for more details. First, as a medium of exchange. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, so its value will depend largely on its usefulness in the economy or consumption. But in reality, today is still very small parties who use bitcoin in everyday life to make various payments. Few traders (merchants) are willing to accept bitcoin. Some countries such as Japan, for example, allow bitcoin to be used as a means of payment (not as legal tender or legal currency). But if we go to Japan, just a few, not to say very little, the store is willing to accept payment with bitcoin. Especially in other countries, including Indonesia. In other words, payments using bitcoins are currently very rare.

Second, as a unit of account. For users or buyers, we certainly look for ease in buying goods. For example, a bowl of chicken noodles cost Rp 25 thousand, a cup of coffee costs Rp 15 thousand. This will make it easy to calculate. But in the use of bitcoin, various problems arise, mainly due to its extreme volatility. The value of bitcoin can vary drastically from minute to minute. This makes it difficult for the seller to determine the price of an item. In addition, there is no uniform or fixed market price associated with bitcoin. I also tried to check on some bitcoin markets around the world, and the prices vary. This disparity, in the theory of market value, violates the law of one price for a currency. Why breaking? Because it is open most likely people to do arbitrage in the same market (buy cheap and sell high in commodities and the same time).

Third, as a store of value. When a currency serves as a store of value, the owner certainly has the expectation that the currency he holds can be obtained easily and can be redeemed for future goods or services as needed. The economic value of goods or services purchased in the future is expected to be equal to the money used or stored now.

From the above analysis it can be seen that Bitcoin, according to Yarmeck (2016), still can not meet the criteria as money because it has the deficiencies as above. Generally people currently hold bitcoin instead of being used as a means of payment, but rather to speculative investment. Bitcoin is also increasingly difficult to accept because it is disconnected with the payment system and banking in many countries, because most authorities in the world forbid it to be used as a means of payment.

In my perception bitcoin is already a currency with form of digital money. It is already being used by some countries to purchase in an online store such as amazon that called e-commerce. And Japan country is one of the good example by developing bitcoin to its country.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts on bounty rewards on: October 17, 2018, 08:44:05 AM
I still don't get the main reason why people picks on the bounty hunter that they dump their coin whenever they received them.
My question is why do you have to complain on me selling or holding, do you have to decide what a worker should do with his or her earned money as if you both share same bills.

And if possible that their are a lot of dumper which partake in a particular bounty maybe just 60% of them in a 1% share of the total supply, so someone should explain affect the market price.

You guys just have to let we hunters be and sell at our convenient time.

We bounty hunters has a right to our tokens because we do effort of it. They just put on blame to us easily inorder to have a reason why their ICO  suddenly dropped its value, but they can't dictate neither we sell or hold our tokens in the market.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are other ways to earn? on: October 17, 2018, 08:06:51 AM
I'm actually new to this industry and i want to earn some money without putting some in the line(A.K.A investing) and i doubt myself that i could actually know how to manage my coins is there any way to earn money that would kick start me in this industry?

11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buy fast and sell fast on: October 16, 2018, 08:59:08 AM
I don't agree on this one except if you are doing trades or day trading. To me, I only buy potential altcoins so I have no reason to rush buying and selling them because I only picture the endgame. And another one is that none has that ability to have the perfect timing of making successful trades,

Yeah, its better to choose some good altcoins rather than execute fast trading. Its to hassle when you proceed on that thing you can't proceed another activities in your life that might you happy as well. However, we have different perception on cryptos, someone contend in just holding a coin in long time and someone prepare by making fast trading that seem you do day trading method.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin become a currency? on: October 16, 2018, 08:36:39 AM
Bitcoin is already a currency, it does not need to become one. You can buy and sell things with bitcoin and that is what a currency is for. Although now I think people use bitcoin as more of an investment than as a currency but that does not mean that bitcoin has stopped being a currency.

It has a point. A fiat is called currency because it is inskde the market, or it is what helps the economy to run. But if we see through those products we can comprehend that bitcoin also performs this kind of things. With this we can say that bitcoin is a currency, eventhough it is used as an investment.

In my perception, bitcoin is a currency in a form of digital and it was obvious. This cryptocurrency is really profitable interms of Investment in long term method, but this is also the most risky Investment among some other form of Investment.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The advantage of day trader on: October 15, 2018, 09:43:29 AM
Potential to make substantial profits. The biggest lure of day trading is the potential for spectacular profits.

Being your own boss. The day trader works alone, independent from the whims of corporate bigwigs.

Never a dull moment. Long-time day traders love the thrill of pitting their wits against the market and other professionals day in and day out.

Expensive education not required. For many jobs in finance, having the right degree from the right university is a prerequisite just for an interview.

Self-employment benefits: As a self-employed individual, a day trader can write off certain expenses for tax purposes, which cannot be claimed by an employed individual.

Any other opinions? Please comment And we discuss any other benefits for someone who uses day trading techniques.
You just make it seem so easy to do. Day trading is not easy and you can’t do trading if you don’t have another source of income that you’re relying on. So it’s best to have another work doing, where you can be able to raise money and invest in trading.

You know there are times when you will lose money in trading, and if you’re relying on day trading then you will end up being a loser. But when you have another source of income, that doesn’t affect you in any way.

I think there's no one has a confindenet to proceed day trading if they dont a have a source of income on its side. It should be have because if they proceed with no other extra money or sour of income to replace from losing. They can't enjoy playing day trading anymore.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: You missed all the trains, not just bitcoin on: October 15, 2018, 09:03:21 AM
I have read many posts of people saying they are sorry to have missed Bitcoin. But I wonder if they realise that there have been more than 20 trains out there that could have made them millionaires.

They have managed to miss at least all these, some of them as recent as July last year. It is not that you missed Bitcoin, is that you (and I) just missed many many others Roll Eyes

QTUM          2017-03-12           +10091%

Be honest to yourself... you did have a chance!
Wow, and for a long time I never had interests in altcoins, I was just busy focusing on Bitcoin, and thank God it did pay off at last. It’s recently that I started looking into altcoins. Seems like it’s time I start to consider even more altcoins. And one thing with altcoins is that they are very cheap and if you buy at lowest and hold for a long term you will make profit.

Wish of your luck if you could found some good altcoins like did mentioned of the OP. Its seems very difficult to Identify in an altcoins that might you earn a lot of profits by holding it in long term. Unless if you have passion and patience by finding it in the crypto market.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: October 12, 2018, 09:48:56 AM
Yes in this bearish market so many new coin and token listed in coin market cap but so many of them just copy others. With so many new coins every day, this is just increase the total supply of all coin and will be difficult for the price of that coin to going up. Not all new coin legit so make sure doing analysis and research before make invest in to it.

I think they make again a new token or coin from the old platforn because the old one's has seem to be hard to recover from its market. That's why they make again another coin to upgrade it and much more feature than before, for the successive of its coins.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum? on: October 11, 2018, 09:33:25 AM
i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

You're the one who can make the final decision mate, but If i were you I'll keep my bitcoin and buy some etherium instead of converting your bitcoin to etherium because these both coins has really big potential in the future.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to trade altcoins? on: October 11, 2018, 09:06:10 AM
Hello everyone. So recently I've been trading bitcoin for alt coins as I find that alt coins are far more volatile due to lower volume compared to Bitcoin and thus more profitable when it comes to day trading. Any great alt coins I should be looking into for trading? I'd like to hear your opinion on this method of trading!

For easy to you to find a good altcoins you should look in coinmarketcap where as you can easily determined which has good market and might you think has potential for daily trading. When you proceed daily trading you must keep on monitoring the market to avoid mises the good fluctuations of your altcoins.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin reach $100,000 in two years? Bitcoin statistics and predictions on: October 10, 2018, 09:42:30 PM
Vow, you expect a price on the moon, I can never think that BTC can rise so high, maybe this will happen in the dream but in real life it will never be possible. This price is where you are.
Well, we cannot predict the future of bitcoin price precisely, sine we are just a human being. So much better if we just hold some bitcoin that we can afford to lose. So that there will be no regrets whether the speculation of price will come true or not.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition on: October 10, 2018, 09:20:37 PM
Eight months ago, my financial situation was not good at all,
I work that way, My income was about 45 to 50 dollars in the month,
I was disappointed with my income
Than a friend of mine suggested me to work with cryptocurrency. But I had no idea about cryptocurrency. Gradually, I learned to understand a lot about cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency gave me success in life, Now my income is 800 to 1500 dollars per month. Now I am very happy and now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition

Wow! I really admire you if you really earn that consistently every month because all I heard about cryptos are not good for the source of income, but it might possible to get earnhigher rather than your stable job income but not all the time.
