41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: February 15, 2018, 12:01:30 PM
Now that LTC has gone up so much it would be wonderful to half the minimum payout amount.   It might bring more hash to the pool.

Minimum payout = 0.01 LTC
0.01 * 220 USD = 2.20 USD (not a great amount, would it be worth collecting 1.10 USD?)

On the eve of the fork, the price of the Litecoin(LTC) itself rose sharply: 159 to 232.

Fork isn’t happening until block 1371111, Sun 18th or Mon 19th

I have received 5 more Moonlanders, so now have total of 8. I have a Sipolar hub capable of running all 8 but would like to split between 2 different coins/pools.

I understand how to write the bat file in Windows - com ports for each usb, but how do you do it with a Raspberry pi setup?

Thanks

Same deal, you just use linux syntax which is /dev/ttyUSBx where x is device number.

Thanks. Still very new to Linux, just a copy-and-paste man at the mo. So is this right, 5x Moonlanders on same hub?

2x Moonlanders pool 1 - bat 1 - pool1.com -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB0 -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB1
3x Moonlanders pool 2 - bat 2 - pool2.com -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB2 -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB3 -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB4

Then if i added 3x more

3x Moonlanders pool 3 -bat 3 - pool3.com -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB5 -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB6 -S mld:/dev/ttyUSB7

 Huh

10,000 kH/s is 10 MH/s, so 2 x 5 = 10 MH/s or 10,000 kH/s

1.5A will NOT do 5 MH/s, more like 2.5-3A

What if i am not on my computer when the fork happens? do liss the chance to get LCC?? Electrum wallet private keys will work as well?

No you won’t miss out. At the time of the fork, a snapshot (record) of the Litecoin blockchain is taken. The Litecoincash LCC blockchain is started from this record, so for every 1LTC, you will have 10LCC.

I don’t personally know about Electrum, I’m using Litecoin core and Jaxx.

does anyone sell replacement fans for these things? I have one that started making a helluva noise, still mines though for now

the fans are easy to fix.. take the sticker off the pack and using a needle carefully pull off the rubber o ring holding the shaft in place..
slide the fan part out and using some white lithium grease lube it up and put it back in.. no need to replace the o ring the magnet will hold it in place.

Might try this - you sure you don’t have to replace O ring?

I don’t think the Moonlanders can mine Scypt-N, only Scrypt

Well I finally got my ball bearing fans in for the stock replacements.

They work well but they are extremely loud compared to the stock sleeve fan.

They are the same type/brand as the stock fan, just ball bearing, direct replacement.

You probably bought one that is really high RPM...these fans can go up to 15k RPM. You only need about 7-10k RPM to properly cool these. Stock fans run around 9-11k.

would a 8000rpm fan cool the sticks sufficiently at 5 MH/s

Anyone had orders/delivery confirmed by bitshopper.de?

All you need to learn is how to setup VPN on your router - check the manual that came with it.  Then it's the same as if you're at home, just a different IP address.  Wink

Is this possible without an 'always on computer' on the network?
