Hmm interesting that could be the reason why I failed to get validated that was the last time I failed to get validated after so many months of successful validation it was unexpected to me honestly because I can easily pass this but the lag contributed to why I failed it, I would like to get the consensus of the users here if If 1 core / 2 GB is not enough to get you validated and you would have to upgrade.

Dunno where you have/had your VPS but my provider allows me to resize droplet anytime i want. So i simply do it 30 min before validation to 2vCPU/4GB to be 100% sure that my hardware won't be a bottleneck. After validation i resize back to 1vCPU/2 GB. Cost of such thing is negligible (free resize, only 1.5 cent for 1 h on better hardware).

Better do it 1-2 h before validation first time and check how long it takes for your provider.
what kind of service provider is this? Hetzner only allows you to increase the power, but not to reduce it...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to too many promoters on: October 18, 2020, 10:05:01 PM
It depends on which side to look at.

If from the customer's side - you allocate a pool of rewards, in order to increase the information flow in social networks about your project. What difference does it make to you how much each bounty hunter gets? You need the highest coverage per 1 unit of the reward pool.

On the bounty hunter's side, of course, it is better for him to participate where there is a limited number of participants. But even if you take a subscription company, and if it has for example 10 participants, including 4 members, 5 Full and one Legendary, in the end, the Legendary will take everything.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greedy crypto developers on: October 18, 2020, 09:44:58 PM
I am generally very surprised when I see what amounts are collected by dubious DeFi projects.

The bottom line is that in 2017-2018, no one would have invested 1 Ethereum in a project where the site does not have information about the team, links to github. Now they see the word DeFi - throw in a cutlet of money.

But in defense of investors, I will say - there is such a project-long - term construction - Radix. The developers went the easy way, added the word Defi - but they did not manage to collect the desired amount.

So investors are already thinking.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: October 18, 2020, 07:36:21 PM
It is rather pointless to ask what is better - Bitcoin or Ethereum. Each of these currencies has its own specifics. Bitcoin focuses on payments and P2P lending, while Ethereum offers developers and businesses its own blockchain technologies that can be used to create new programs and applications. If Bitcoin can be compared to an app on a smartphone, the Ethereum network is similar to the App Store, where developers can create their own apps to work on the network.

Bitcoin, of course, dominates the cryptocurrency market at present and is more well-known coin, but many believe that the Ethereum, which appeared six years later and more developed from the technical point of view, can become a competitor to bitcoin that will eventually surpass it, especially with the successful release Ethereum 2.0.

However, as each of the platforms focused on different things, undoubtedly, in digital currency industry, there is a place for both of them.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest cryptocurrency wallets on: October 18, 2020, 07:19:08 PM
You just need to understand that if you follow the Internet and network security, you will have enough MEW and Electrum.

If you have basic security features installed, the most important thing is to carefully monitor your own actions. You should be especially careful about messages about the possibility of incredible enrichment in the near future, as well as security notifications. Very often, scammers simulate a routine check of "suspicious activity" and ask you to dictate the code. In other cases, they can lure you into a referral program, during which you attract other investors, and as a result, you lose all your money.

With proper handling and compliance with the basic rules of working with virtual assets, each user can get a sufficient level of security. The protection of crypto assets can guarantee no less, and sometimes even more, security than funds in banks, since the level of security of digital assets depends only on you.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you trust Defi projects?? on: October 18, 2020, 05:47:13 PM
I am surprised that you claim that the project is Chinese, but there is not a single person from this country in the team.

Then a strange form of airdrop, where you need to buy their tokens (albeit for a small amount).

And in general, medical ICO is not very popular, perhaps with the exception of interest from Asian countries. This area still has a long way to go, as well as projects related to real estate.

And by the way, the top exchanges for some reason do not really want to list medical tokens.

So think carefully before investing.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: October 18, 2020, 03:57:59 PM
For a long time, there have been rumors that USDT will soon come to an end, but it never comes.

Although when they turn on their printing press every time, my opinion gets worse and worse.
In addition, the market already has a huge number of stablecoins such as - USD, USD, USD, DAI, PAX - as you can see, there are a lot of them to choose from.

If you don't trust stablecoins at all, keep everything in bitcoin.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why hesitate ???? on: October 18, 2020, 01:28:54 PM
I completely agree with you. It is better to stick to this strategy: 1 - after investing in an ICO or IEO and entering the exchange, if you already have x2 and you believe in the project, you can sell half of it to return your investment, leave the rest and wait for further growth. 2 - If you do not believe in the project and went to get a quick profit, sell everything at once on the first candle. And then do not follow the project, because if the price starts to rise, you will devour FOMO.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FILECOIN, biggest ico ever! on: October 17, 2020, 11:33:01 AM
I would say that Filecoin is the disappointment of the year, or at least one of the nominees to win in this category. 3 years of development and here is the result - 200 network confirmations and ~100 minutes of transaction (and by the way it is still fast, it can reach 6 hours). It is not clear what the investors ' money was spent on, but it is good that it did not go into minutes during the listing. Thank you for that.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 15, 2020, 08:43:34 PM
I did not pass the validation because I did not notice that my VPS was expiring so I manually sync my wallet but I did not reach the right time, this is the first time that I'm syncing my wallet without using a VPS but it's been 15 hours straight but I'm having a hard time syncing it, I'm always stuck to certain blocks for hours, is there a fix to this.
Hi buddy, usually these problems don't occur. You either need to wait for a while longer, because some people take a day to sync. Also, see if you have free space on your hard disk, at the moment the node weighs 9-10 gigabytes.

Alternatively, save your nodekey and reinstall everything again.

Alsp try downloading the Idena blockchain for faster syncing. Maybe this will solve your problem.

Let us know what happened!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 11, 2020, 08:45:31 PM
At the moment, there are a lot of projects with an unknown team, a hidden github, and so on. I would recommend that you are going to invest, then choose projects from America, where investors are at least protected. Not 100 percent, but complete shit is unlikely to hit the market. So take a closer look, stop feeding Asians)
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: October 11, 2020, 07:41:04 PM
In my country, cryptocurrency is already illegal. Only the authorities in my country are so stupid that they can't come up with a law on digital assets. The country is already in complete stagnation in all areas, so they refuse the most promising direction. This stupidity is surprising...
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: October 11, 2020, 01:54:15 PM
50/50. Do not store eggs in the same basket. Always remember to diversify your assets. With a large amount of free cash resources, I would also consider the stock market. But if you strongly believe in Bitcoin, you can also consider investing in digital gold.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 11, 2020, 01:03:08 PM
You can be useful to this forum, earning merit you will increase your rank. Then you can participate in bounty companies where payment is made in bitcoins. Hero+ get somewhere 40-55 dollars in BTC, this is a good stable payment. But usually there is a limited number of participants and very quickly recruit participants.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: October 11, 2020, 11:57:57 AM
Absolutely everyone lost a certain amount in this market, so it is considered high-risk. I lost more than 18 Ethereum on one trade, so don't worry. Just do not buy coins of one project for more than 10 percent of the deposit. Be conservative. You will have the opportunity to earn more.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 11, 2020, 11:46:15 AM
Your list is very good, but I want to add a few additions:
Cryptodaku :

ICO Drops :

CryptoRank News :

Their recommended projects are on average good ones.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: October 10, 2020, 08:15:14 PM
No one will pay you in stablecoins, if you want to get USDT, go to the factory and work and transfer your salary to stablecoins. Why should developers do this? After all, they have tokens of their project, why waste it?
You can also get rewards in the BTC by finding bounty companies of the best managers of this forum! Just keep in mind the requirements there are high!
