181  Economy / Economics / Re: What should we focus on more? Demand or Supply? on: August 30, 2018, 08:35:34 PM
This is only a means to achieving a goal for the market uplifting. The main expectation that will really drive the cryptocurrency market now is the impact the ETF will have when allowed. The other suggestions are mere speculations and may not work or take reasonable effect as the market knows what it needs at this time which is the ETF!
182  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: August 30, 2018, 08:27:08 PM
Looking at the present state of the market, it could be very disheartening. But one thing is certain is that blockchain technology has come to change our society. And Crytocurrency which runs on the blockchain will continue to wax stronger and stronger, stay above fear. Life surely goes on with or without the enemies of crypto.

As much as the market looks really disheartening at the moment, I have a strong feeling it will one day come back to good relevance again. Life goes on as there will definitely be other choice of earnings that will open up for one to venture into. Also, by the time the altcoins comes to full usages, then the real purpose of the cryptocurrencies and worth will be established.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: August 30, 2018, 01:15:33 AM
The major reason for the moaning is that we have a lot of get rich quick persons that have branched into the cryptocurrency world/market and they are really somewhat expectant than the usual bitcoins investor.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one do you prefer?Increase your Bitcoin or ِDollar? on: August 29, 2018, 10:19:07 PM
In Trading, there are two categories of people, those who want to increase their bitcoin volume, and those who want to increase their dollar volume. Which one do you prefer? Why?

I will prefer to have my dollars worth increase as the dollars is the current currency being spent easily and also the wallet summarized worth is usually in dollars. If I had some units of bitcoins today, the dollar rate/worth will be much of a concern to me than just having it in bitcoins alone.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Some Bulls Expect Bitcoin to Fall Below $5,000 Prior to Big Rally on: August 28, 2018, 09:32:31 PM
Why Some Bulls Expect Bitcoin to Fall Below $5,000 Prior to Big Rally

https://www.ccn.com/why-some-bulls-expect-bitcoin-to-fall-below-5000-prior-to-big-rally/amp/

They do want a further fall but I believe there's a minimum level the bitcoin price can go and  I believe it has hit this minimum price range often and bouncing back upwards. The only upward run we expect now is for the bitcoin price to hit its previous price mark of last year December.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current cryptocurrency market situation on: August 28, 2018, 09:11:31 PM
What is your opinion on the current market situation?  2018 has not been our year. It's been quite rough for cryptocurrency prices, with the most recent slump being from June 10, the market continues to fluctuate and change. But things seem to be looking up and bitcoin has reached its peak this summer, topping $8,000.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/what-is-going-on-with-the-crypto-markets-experts-share-opinions

The year has apparently been a stale one till now. We do await the bullrun to break this long silence. The cryptocurrency market/world is almost like hibernating and sure it will make a profound news again; that's its fun and drama!
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF was over hyped! Nothing has happened! on: August 23, 2018, 11:28:48 PM
I do hope the expectations are not cut short over a long period of waiting. The ETF might not preferably be the opening of the cryptocurrency's bull run but a sum total of other factors and indicators.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US SEC Delays Decision on Direxion Bitcoin ETF Until September on: August 23, 2018, 11:17:27 PM
Investment firm Direxion has had the review of its Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) application postponed until September 21. The news about the delay comes from an official document released by the U.S. Government Publishing Office July 24.

An announcement from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said it was “appropriate” to delay its decision, which only affects Direxion’s offering.

“The Commission finds it appropriate to designate a longer period within which to issue an order approving or disapproving the proposed rule change so that it has sufficient time to consider this proposed rule change,” it states.

A lot of us now have our fate anchored on the SEC's decision of allowing the funds inflow into the cryptocurrency markets; all in the bid to bring an uplift. Well, delay is not denial as we still await the 21st of September!
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment? on: August 23, 2018, 11:07:31 PM
Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment?

This damages the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was not created to become an investment. Before Bitcoin, there were some digital currencies years back, the goal was always to be able to create a (digital) currency free from central banks and governments.
Cypherpunks and other anarcho-capitalists are at the origin of this idea, perhaps 20 or 30 years ago. None were intended to make an investment to be rich quickly.
You won't find in the white paper "investing" mentioned, you won't find any post from Satoshi mentioning it

Considering Bitcoin as an investment, this is the reason why we have more and more regulations, G20 summits and others craps, KYC, etc...
The word "Crypto-assets" didn't exist before, why did they create it? Because you even consider it an investment, then why shouldn't they?
Bitcoin could be a lot more accepted and used by now. Why should a merchant agree to be paid in Bitcoin? He wants money, not a piece of your investment.

You're not even investing, you are just gambling with money.
Go to the altcoins board, you will surely find plenty of ICOs where you can say you invested in. I have something for you, ICOs used to raise money are no different than "Crowdfunding". If you want to invest then there are a lot of Crowdfunding websites where you can invest in real startups with fewer risks, (you won't find any project using photos from Pixabay...)

Why don't we see cryptographers anymore? Guess the reasons

Hmmn... I think this is quite basic and factual! A lot have abused the use of the bitcoin and now, what is perceived is seeing the bitcoin as a means of investment and misconstrued from its main purpose/intent. This also applies  to most ICOs that now only have the purpose of investment motives/orientation.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: Why spend time in bitcoins? on: August 23, 2018, 06:27:45 PM
We all experience being financially challenged and we cannot deny that money makes us revolve around it. When we find ways to alleviate our financial suffering, we stand our ground and spend so much effort just to see the result and of course, benefit from it. Do you think that spending time and effort to gain bitcoins is a rational idea? Do you think that you could've been wasting your time? Let me know about your thoughts.

At the moment, my time spent on bitcoin has drastically reduced due to the repeated dips experienced in the markets. I have being somewhat demotivated and in other not to lose all hopes, I just come here to do some few post and do signature campaign only. The income from it has been cut short so also affecting my own previous excited time input.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: August 23, 2018, 05:10:09 PM
There is this quote that says time and chance happen to both the rich and poor; an indication that it is not always of one's doing that one becomes classified as being rich or poor and also being rich is a matter of timing and chance too which I agree with; I didn't get to choose the family or country I was born into!
192  Economy / Economics / Re: How to scam people for money on: August 23, 2018, 05:01:52 PM
I don't think these highlighted characteristics still catch people again as I won't buy it; the gullibles are short of one! I want to believe that a lot that have been scammed before now from ponzi schemes and the likes are now more than careful to get deceived again; once beaten, twice shy!
193  Economy / Economics / Re: Why everyone only invest in the crypto market? on: August 23, 2018, 04:55:34 PM
I don't think there are above average persons who doesn't diversify into other stream of earning aside the cryptocurrency. Even now that the markets have seriously dipped, getting another stream of income is inevitable. But there will still be some specialist that feed on the market fluctuations.
194  Economy / Economics / Re: Simply predict the future of bitcoin on: August 23, 2018, 09:36:26 AM
Another thing that just came to mind now is that if the bull run happens every year, it becomes a simple pattern to follow. So, with this fact, I don't see the bull run happening anytime this year. If there is a major bull run every year, then everyone can simply buy a lot and even go borrowing to buy and hodl till the bull run occur!
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year on: August 22, 2018, 10:44:52 PM
I got into the bitcoin again last year after losing all my 4.5 bitcoins to ponzi schemes early last year. I bought in bitcoin again at $20k. Now bitcoin is $6k+.  I'm regretting my actions.  Huh

Hmmn... I do understand the bad investment timing you got into. The best bet for you now is to hodl and stay off the cryptocurrency markets for now. You can come back to take profit when the the bitcoin deeps below the 20,000$ you bought.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 22, 2018, 10:35:42 PM
When the price of a commodity drop with no reason, you should know that it is being manipulated. The reasons for this is quite simple, because a lot of people know this is a fake crash and they are going to make millions, when other people start to panic and start selling their coins at these low prices.

The secret to maximize your profits in this game is to buy coins at the lowest price possible and then again to sell at the highest price possible.

What do you do if people are hoarding their coins and refuse to sell? You simulate a fake crash by stockpiling your coins over a long period and then dumping those coins at once to trigger a small crash. You then buy back these coins at a lower price than what you bought them and wait for the market to recover.

This is what is happening now, because there is NO reason for this sudden drop in the price? Hold onto those coins as long as you can, because these greedy bastards will manipulate the markets to cause chaos and panic.

The market manipulations is somehow becoming indefinable and unpredictable! The much anticipated bull run is long over due but it looks so impossible now with a lot of opposing forces. I do hope it will happen soon as I am not even perturbed talkless panicking.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year? on: August 22, 2018, 08:34:51 AM
Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year?
Some may think like that because of it's performance. But according to experts and analysts, BITCOIN is not for the weak hands.
If you do crypto as a source of living then this is not the best place for you, but if you are here because you believe that BITCOIN is a revolutionary kind of money then you're on the right track...  You know bitcoin will rise ;-)

There are quite some strong factors inhibiting the rise of the bitcoin/cryptocurrency markets at large; the world financial market interference and some REAL undefined internal factors. As for the bullish market for this year, I can't say precisely how feasible it will happen as I am not that expectant. But anything can still happen in cryptocurrency.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: August 21, 2018, 10:53:10 PM
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) just recently posted a picture that shows the evolution of money that people have used since the beginning of human civilization. Will IMF consider Bitcoin as a new currency?

It is an agreeable trend as statistics shows the facts of the money being transacted  via cryptocurrency.  Whenever I hear about currency, the first thing that comes to mind play is cryptocurrency! The IMF could consider Bitcoin as a new currency with the set of criteria they have within, they could place bitcoin as a currency on the long run
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO! Do Not Invest all you have on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies on: August 17, 2018, 12:04:51 AM
Just as the wise saying goes: do not put all your eggs in one basket! Good to have your investments diversified and spread through areas of other interest. Cryptocurrency itself has its shockers but with your other investments, you are not caught off guard with its surprises.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price is not stop falling! What to do? on: August 16, 2018, 11:56:34 PM
With the repeated falls, I have just made up my own mind to hodl. I have got some other areas of interest and focusing more on it. Without doubts, I had given up for this year. Friends encouraged me to still have hope and that is why I am still here today.
