2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 07, 2017, 05:42:12 PM
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.

That will be wow! A global loss! Well, I have seen that the currency itself has gained so much strength. Within a short time like a wild fire. The spread is viral too. If banned in my country, it isn't really limited as I will be earning in dollars or other country's currency! Well, if govt is being incorporated in area of taxation it can help curb the fear or its banning.
2042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think all online stores have to use bitcoin as main currency? on: September 07, 2017, 03:02:49 PM
Bitcoin is a currency that is still developing and could possibly make it to a point that it would be allowed to be used in online transactions.
Tell me your opinion on this topic Huh

Chatted up a friend today and was informed that there are now bitcoin arms in the US. I don't think online transactions should be limited to just a single currency. I believe in a specified group of particular currencies which can be set for the online biz.
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new and promising altcoin? on: September 06, 2017, 09:11:20 AM
Am actually new on bitcointalk, I want to know if there are new and promising altcoins

Quite a lot of them really but one has to do a good study on the forum and get updated too. I recently registered with Waves and also increasing my values with the help of the site faucets. You can also try it out coz it's now about $4 when I checked yesterday.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Be Panic Of ICO Ban? on: September 06, 2017, 08:16:18 AM
The price of altcoin and bitcoin drop. Should we be panic? What do you think of the situation. Will ICOs stop because of the ban by China, Russia and Korea? Will others follow those countries? What is the future of ICO?

Panicking is inevitable! But getting the facts right will help to stabilize the currencies later. We should really get to understand genuine reasons for the ICO ban which is partly to put a check and balance in the Scam ICOs. Currencies have never been stable over periods of time but with real economic and other parameters, one can say categorically that the current decline in bitcoin price is only temporary!
2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Fee is Expensive !!! on: September 06, 2017, 07:55:59 AM

I just checked and found out that transferring bitcoin is bloody expensive !  For reference, am just quoting the details of my first transaction which I did just to check how everything goes...

Bought from localbitcoins: 5USD - 0.00108668 BTC
Transferred to bittrex exhcange: 0.00084133  3.86 usd
Transaction fee: 0.00024535  which is approx 1.13 usd

22% transaction cost!

this is bloody expensive, I thought this crypto thing is supposed to reduce the transaction cost but they seem more expensive then the banks imho.
it's the consequence of the effect of bitcoin prices are more expensive, if you do not want to be charged a fee it would be nice you do not have to transact.

Better still, you count/calculating the cost before you think of making the transaction. Well, I did a transfer yesterday and the transaction fee was fair on luno. I suggest one accumulates all transactions to be made at once and not in bits.
