My final hope to recover my 5 years old established account is over. I have received the following mail from BitcoinTalk team... Thank you for your email.
After checking the entire history related to this account and based on the current investigation, there is simply not enough info to determine the true owner as the account appears to have been sold at some point possibly alongisde the private key for the address used to sign the message. Also, there's no guarantee that the website you mentioned was not hacked as well, therefore, it will not be used as a valid point in the recovery process.
Taking these matters into consideration, our final decision is that the account will be locked and you can continue using the alternative one you created.
Best regards,
Bitcointalk account recovery team

No response received till date. Any idea how long it might take? Since the new method was in place, have anyone successfully recovered their account till date?
All we know is that account recoveries are moving , but we don't know exactly at what speed they are going. Just be patient, and if you've provided all the required information needed then it will be recovered eventually. I received the following mail. Hello,
Thank you for your email. The signed message was successfully verified. Please note that the email address cannot be restored to a different one other than the original used to register the account. In the situation where that email address was used to create a different account, you will need to change it on the second account as one email address cannot be linked with more than one acount.
Furthermore, we will need you to send us an email from that original email address where you wil also receive further instructions. Best regards, Bitcointalk account recovery team
But, I do not remember the original email ID with which my account was registered 5 years ago. Though, I have provided signed message from an address, that was used within one month of account registration. What am I supposed to do?

Is it I understand correctly?
When someone want to change his email on BTT account, then he can't use his/her account for those 7 days because "The account stays locked throughout all of this.
No, the queue only applies when the administration changes the email address, not when you change it yourself. It's for recovering hacked accounts and similar. Most people don't need to care about it. Nice to know that you still recover hacked accounts. My account CoinLearn was hacked more than a year ago. I sent you & Cyrus the first signed message in PM on September 03, 2017. Next, I re-sent the same to you on October 17, 2018. Here is my public thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2156605.0. Current owner even accepted that he bought it... I don't remember that username of seller account. If you read through the links provided, and some of my posts above, you'll see what seller sent me account pass without escrow. And as i got it, i paid him directly.
Is there any hope left to get my account back?

Some of the old timers may have used my previous learning & earning project on CoinLearn.org - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=435257.0. Unfortunately, my previous BitcoinTalk account has been stolen and the admins did not recover it even after providing signed message - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2156605.0. Anyway, I have now decided to convert CoinLearn.org into a CryptoCurrency learning portal, backed by community contribution. The focus will be on Bitcoin & general CryptoCurrency FAQ, but other major non-scammy alt related FAQs are also welcome. Some merit sources have agreed to give merit to those who will be contributing constructively in this project as well. Prescribed format of posting... Q: What is the Genesis Block ? A: The block, that was first mined by Satoshi Nakamoto is known as Genesis Block. You may find the details of genesis block here p.s. The thread is self-moderated to keep spammers away.

Even after providing all the required proofs with signed message, no action from the admins is disappointing.
