I went in again as well. In SALTs AMA on Reddit they state they plan to buyback tokens if it falls below membership price? Not sure exactly what that is or means but it will be very reassuring to see them act on it.

When I saw it months ago I thought it was over hyped crap however I recently looked over the WP/groups and got in semi heavy at just over $5.

What I took away was that in order to use the service you will have to own at least a few SALT to have access to the lending platform. There are different tiers based on how much you want to borrow (Up to a Mil?). I believe those tokens are burned when you purchase access to the lending platform. So it appears there will always be a demand for this token as long as people want to borrow against their crypto.

Additionally according to the forums you can use SALT to pay down your interest rate which Im assuming are like points on mortgage. Product is due Nov 1st, Erik Voorhees is on this one with Shapeshift and Exodus tied in somehow as well. From the telegram it appears that lot of none crypto capital is pouring in l and its legit in the States..

The project is solid and the devs are talented. Unfortunately they have openly stated they dont care about the value of the coin and to boot they are the worst marketers in the game so everyone tends to pump and dump this coin on small swings

On the positive side the functionality of the software is continual improving, bounties are also widening the functionality of both client and host sides. Capital has not been an issue for them with multiple sources of angel investment and grants. Later this year or early next year they are scheduled to release a proprietary "Obelisk" ASIC miner that will ensure the network is propagated to its full potential. For all these reasons they are many steps ahead of the other players on the field.

In short it may a very formidable entity someday however it probably wont be any day soon. If you dont end up investing buy a few SC just to play around with the storage contracts.

I believe they were transparent on the issue, granted they didnt field the scrutiny well. There was a hole a few months back and they fixed it. This is standard operating procedure for development. The "critique" got completely overblown and the blogsphere amplified it. Also MIT's DCI is under review for possible involvement in market manipulation as a result of how the information was distributed.

I had one of L3+ ship with a bad control board. Contacted Bitmain about the issue and they responded that they will be shipping out a replacement board for me. Anyone ever had a similar experience? What was the time frame for a replacement part to arrive? Havent received an updated response from Bitmain concerning shipping & its costly & sad to see an L3+ gather dust.
