Things happen naturally and there are processes that most be followed to keep your head high. Here in the forum, the processes have been dished out in this thread and if a new comer follow it, such member will not find it difficult in here but to jump the gun is what leads to plagiarism because the rules and offence were not read. In a class, you have to learn the subject and have a good understanding to pass it during the examination, just the way learning is important here.
242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If my annualized return is above 50%, am I doing well? on: June 24, 2023, 01:14:12 PM

I'm free from the risk of price fluctuations. If the price of Bitcoin drops to $1k, I'll still make money. As liquidity and volatility increase, so does the premium differential, which opens up more opportunities.

If you are already up in profit this year with 59% on your investment and you are able to still make your steady trade despite the volatility of the market or fluctuation, why thinking of expounding to bring in more people. This is my area of doubt because most traders who profit don't have need to get more people to share from their profit except they are only interested to sell some signal to them or ask to raise money from them.
243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 24, 2023, 08:07:01 AM

~~~
I think This post should be moved to the Off Topic Section or Trading Discussion not here in the Marketplace.
also I don't get the point of this post? are you offering something here?
I think this post is fine here and Op has made sense of what he is saying. Every trader should be able to relate to it and I think this is a pure scam attempt.
She said that I can't trade on Coinbase because it doesn't offer the features that her platform does. On her platform, she can Buy and hold on to it and Sell it in 60 seconds. You can't do that with Coinbase.
So she wants me to transfer all of my Coinbase money into the platform she uses, which is:
BitContractPro
She has $100,000 in her account. She averages $10,000 a month.
She will teach me how to trade on that platform.
All these are purely lines to show you are probably going to be scammed when you do that transfer. Dating site is for dating site where the smartest takes the day.
Do your trading by yourself, do your mistakes and correct yourself but use demo trading to master your trade. Invest gradually and do your research, don't give your trade to someone you just met online whether real or not.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to draw the attention of the market if you're a good project?? on: June 23, 2023, 04:03:14 PM
there are many ways but you could always have some bounty to market your project, these bounties are usually really effective ways of advertising your project and you could also do some marketing through airdrops.
that if you really sure your project is good.
If a project organiser that wants to be sincere for the value of the need to rise in the market then it has to be sure to deliver the bounty promise to those participants who try to push the image of the project to the market, if they don't do that by denying the bounty hunters the rewards, that means the failure of the project just began because those bounty hunters will also try to pull them down using that same social media platforms they use to advertise them. No doubt it is good to promote project through bounty or signature campaign but the developers should be sincere so that the promotion can continue even after the end of bounty. There are some projects that have enjoyed good promotion here and there are also some that have failed.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found a trading strategy that blew my mind! on: June 23, 2023, 01:01:26 PM
The only thing that they show on that video is their winnings; you don't know that he loses a lot from that strategy.
Yes and that is for the purpose of getting someone to fall for their "success" and they want to sell off some crap strategy that never really work on the whole.
Just always think about why they still need to upload videos on YouTube if they have those winning strategies, as for sure they are more focused on their trading than making videos.
People who make gains in trading usually focus on the trade and to make more profit but those selling videos are doing take to make their profit from those buying it. They can't make real profit from trading and so they will be ready to milk off the interested buyers
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 23, 2023, 09:51:03 AM
Going into the market when it is green is just greedy sentiment for trading.
How? When the market is green, that is suppose to be the right time for possible profit if you do your research.
I was supposed to say if when the market is green could be only the reason to enter the market can't be right at all time.
Quote
What matters is how long the green will last before the red appear. Of course there are different timeframe, 1 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, Week and months. So depending on the time you are trading, the longer the time the better the chances.
Trying to know how long the time will last to get things right  is what I'm talking about.
If the market is green or how long to enter or stay in the market also depends on what you have as strategy. While trading we can navigate the different times and see also the candle formations and how they have also closed previously. The candle formations is important in trading including the previous close candle, the daily, weekly or monthly candle can show next trend of the market.
248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use the Bear Flag pattern and what to look for? on: June 22, 2023, 02:49:57 PM
I appreciate the positive comment, thanks.
Every trader understands that it's impossible to predict market moves with 100% certainty. However, using technical indicators can help us make better decisions. These indicators and patterns give us clues about how buyers and sellers behave in the market. For instance, with a bear flag, when prices consolidate and volume is low, it means neither buyers nor sellers have control. But when there's a breakout, it suggests that sellers are gaining momentum again, giving us an idea of how to position ourselves.
I also like to say briefly that when there is breakouts , it also depends on the strategy of the trader or type of trader. Like if a trader is a daily trader, he should be careful of the breakout and not be carried away because at every breakout there is correction and such correction may take time to continue the breakout position. Some traders like swingers or daily trader may feel no reversal after the breakout and they may be caught on the web of correction if they don't use stop loss. Breakout only means a directional position but not that it may not change from time to time within the moment.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 21, 2023, 01:28:08 PM
One of the challenges of some traders is that they don't know when is the right time to enter the market.  Some traders feels when the market is red it is always a wrong time to get into the market to trade. If the green should only be considered as the best time to enter the market, I think it won't always be a right decision.
Not always. Green is the best time but if you can identify the end of red to the beginning of green then you are good to go. The indicator that can determine this I think it is RSI because with RSI you can determine overbought or oversold thereby making your decision. Also you can use MA to support RSI on that.
Going into the market when it is green is just greedy sentiment for trading.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the steps in understanding technical analysis? on: June 21, 2023, 11:21:29 AM
Technical Analysis is astrology for traders. It is dressed up to look like a science, but it is really just based on myth, fantasy, wishful thinking, and confirmation bias.
No it is not wishful thinking.... TA is part of the techniques that traders adopt to understand the market and trade on it. It is more also like FA which is fundamental analysis, this is strictly based on news and sentiment of the market and opinions of investors which is cumulated in their emotions. TA itself is chart based and we can't treat chart with wave of the hand, just like other fields that use charts to navigate their challenges. Charts are used in engineering field and other fields.
People who promote Technical Analysis are just trying to extract money from the fools who will believe anything they see, or at best they are trying to impress people with their fake expertise.
This is different. People can speak positive about TA and not selling out TA to anyone but those call groups are those who extract money from the fools.
251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Betting in Evadav on: June 21, 2023, 10:55:28 AM
I heard that betting is well developed in Evadav, what trends are doing well there now?
Whatever you want to discuss on gambling should be on gambling section . Here is strictly on trading and everything about trading. So you can move it to this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0 so that it can properly be discussed.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Service or Bot for effective and timely DCA execution? on: June 20, 2023, 04:39:15 PM
However, I have encountered a problem. I struggle to keep up with the schedule because I have many other commitments outside of the Bitcoin space. Sometimes, I simply forget to DCA at the time I blocked off on my calendar for it. This requires discipline, but fortunately, there is technology available to help. I am wondering if there is a service or bot that can assist with effective and timely DCA execution?
Well my analysis of this aspect of your post that you encountered problem is likely to be in the area of finance to fund your DCA plan and not really on app that helps you to remember. If you have many other commitments, it may also likely be taking your fund sort of and that can also be the reason that you are struggling with your DCA and probably forgoing it at some point to run your finance on your other financial commitment. I will advise you have to carry lesser financial commitment that you can handle at a time or you do your scale of preference on order of priority for you, either to focus more on your funds for DCA or other financial commitments you are struggling with.
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to spot a scammers on trading as a newcomer on: June 20, 2023, 11:16:05 AM
Op you have made a long note to read and mixing everything up together in a clustered way makes it difficult to read and to highlight your points but however you have tried to make a point about forex trading and scam involved in it. My advise is to use brokers that have been long in the business because they have proved themselves and won't allow their company to go down. There are licensed brokers, so be sure to search for them and ask around to know reputable platforms to trade on so that you can also withdraw your profit when you have one. Surely if it looks too good to be through, you have to be careful.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: June 20, 2023, 10:21:26 AM
As a trader that relies on buying signals, how confident are you about the continuous availability of those signals. Would they always be accurate and dependable?  Heavily depending on signals is parallel to same thing as someone else trading for you with your money. How ironical!
Yeah close to that, like you pulling the trigger at the instructions of a commander behind you. I think signal patronizers are not really interested in the act of trading, to them the act is boring and they want to quickly go in for the profit. They go through this risk and not concerned with the losses if it comes. Maybe there is a set of class of traders like that, that only do copy trading while they invest their time in other businesses.
255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 18, 2023, 06:51:28 PM
I have read many discussions about trading and gambling, some people have rather joined the two as gambling. That is not totally true.
 <snip>
There could be times when trading becomes a gamble — when the trader literally have no idea of what (s)he is doing.
Okay... Like when the Amateur trader literally have no idea of what..... He keeps swimming in luck but the professional trader will cut his losses short to stay out and come back because he knows for sure that the market has changed against his order.
I have read many discussions about trading and gambling....
Trading is not gambling. You require luck in gambling but you require work in trading.
What is your thought.
Absolutely right, because, but after reading your post i am forced to contemplate that, we used to say "invest in crypto with what you do not afraid to lose". and we also used to say "play in gambling with what you do not afraid to lose". Then what other difference remains there,
Stop losses is really helpful to cut losses
The difference that remains is that stop loss is a major difference of control to your risk when you are already in the trade but in gambling, you only depend on luck when a game is going against you. You can't cut your losses if you are to lose.
256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 18, 2023, 12:53:23 PM
Trading is trading, while gambling is gambling. They are different but having some similarities too.
One of the similarities is that a new trader can be trading,  having no strategy and technical or fundamental analytic means to use trading to earn profit. But instead, they trade for luck and fail. There are some traders that we use as an example of gamblers that lost high amount of money, but to trading in just some minutes, hours or days.
If newbies trade in a wrong way and luckily make profit or fail to make profit doesn't make it to be the right way to trade so it should not be classed as the way to trade. Every trader today have done trading with luck and succeed or lose as a newbie . That is why we understand better today to show newbies that luck doesn't carry you all the way in trading.
Definitely, trading is different from gambling. People that are trading and also gambling like people like us know the differences. They are very different.
Yes they are difference with the same aim or purpose which is risk and profit possibility.
257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 18, 2023, 11:06:34 AM
I have read many discussions about trading and gambling, some people have rather joined the two as gambling. That is not totally true. For traders who agree that trading is same with gambling, they are just lazy to go into work and adopt the ethical way to trade and those are:
1. To cut your losses and increase your profit: You can conveniently do this by using stop loss or take profit adjustment or trailing stop but in gambling, is one straight end once you have gone on the bet, you either loss all you bet or win or you bet for.
2. A trader can adjust his risk appetite by reducing the lots size to suit his account and determine his appropriate leverage but in gambling, a bettor has to go with the odds provided for the gay. He can't reduce or increase it against the fixed odds.
3. Traders use analytical tools to determine what market price will be and wait for appropriate timing but gamblers play by the rules of casino.
Trading is not gambling. You require luck in gambling but you require work in trading.
What is your thought.
It is not an easy journey on the forum. Take the critism and turn them to your strength as a reason that you will get better and that including improving on yourself, learn bitcoin and everything about cryptocurrency so that you can also teach not only on the forum but also people around you. Study wide and put effort more you will see yourself rising fast but don't focus on merit, it will come if you have improved on yourself.
259  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: June 17, 2023, 12:09:06 PM
It makes sense to raise the retirement age so that people can continue to contribute to the workforce and the economy. Many workers are physically unable to work past a certain age, and that raising the retirement age would unfairly penalize these individuals. There are also economic considerations to make into account. If the retirement age is raised, it could lead to decrease in unemployment rates as older workers remain in the workforce for longer. This could also lead to a decrease in job opportunities for younger workers who may struggle to find employment. Retirement age for workers should be based on efficiency of employees. It is important to balance the needs of older workers with the needs of the economy as a whole in order to ensure a fair and sustainable system for all.
This is a double standard. You are speaking in two voices supporting extension of retirement age and also pointing at unemployment rate for the young people. Of course if old people are retained in work force even when they are not contributing efficiently to the economy, they need to be replaced and this may not be done selectively. The best is to let them go for a replacement with the young people and you may open up space for the old active workforce on a contract or part time bases because of their expertise. I believe countries with long service age are those who lack young workforce for replacing the old. There are more advantage for introducing energetic minds in the workforce and these advantages are what we all know needless to mention.
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trailing Stop Sell for Profit Taking on: June 17, 2023, 10:21:06 AM
The percentage depends on the pump and volatility of the coin or speculation of it at the moment because trailing stop can actually get you to stop your trade when you are suppose to maximize your profit. It can stop you half way when you have set the percentage very high, so I could go for 1% or 2% while watching the market and adjusting my stop loss as well.
