521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trade have types? on: February 28, 2023, 01:53:26 PM

I was on one of the trading app call Deriv Go and I had lost then profit and I using the highest volatility 100v and it was MT5 and I stoped because of the lost

You don't have to worry yourself if you are not ready to lose in trade. The hard truth is that no type of trading option is a give away to traders, you have to learn and get equipped with enough knowledge and the good thing about trading is it follows almost same pattern, you have to use technical analysis. Whether deriv option, forex, crypto are following same pattern.
522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's second biggest weekly gain happened yesterday on: February 26, 2023, 07:46:29 PM
This movement is not to be relied upon by investors. It looks like the spikes coming from the slope of the last correction around $22k. I expect this kind of volatility once in a while until the first quarter of this year is exhausted and then second quarter will begin another phase of the rally until it gets closer to halving.
523  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Disrupting our Financial Landscape? on: February 26, 2023, 03:41:27 PM
As an individual I don't think that bitcoin will be considered as what is disrupting the financial landscape because it is helpful to serve as an option to people to make transaction against the traditional protocols of using cash but in the government side, we can say that loudly as evident in some countries trying to restrict crypto usage and introducing different hardways that an individual can have access to trading bitcoin. If it was not disrupting the control of government on monitoring finance then they won't try to stop it.
524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: February 26, 2023, 01:15:32 PM
It is better that we look at consistent profit no matter how little than to aim at huge profit that will not be consistent. If we are trading for huge profit then that is also how huge the losses will be when we lose and if you are having bad trades, you run out of capital faster. However, the more appropriate percentage of profit to aim for no matter the size of capital is suppose to be around 1-3 % per trade but a trader can also decide to increase that depending on his or her profit ability. Trading with low leverage and stop loss is advised also.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 25, 2023, 09:40:56 PM
Money is good because with it you are sure to have some form of education in some time in the future at your own pace when you are ready for it and this is why they say education is not limited to only the young, that you can be educated at even old age  However, the education is not just the high level of degrees but your ability to understand what is taught to you not only in formal education but also learning of skill. My point is with money you can get an education by the side but it is not a guarantee that getting educated brings money.
526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Startup for Technical Indicator Alarms on: February 25, 2023, 04:15:12 PM

2. Alaram turns on when the price touches the band, or just before it reaches it (here you could define with a slider the distance between the price and the bands. Based on the distance, an alarm would trigger

What do you think about these ideas? I'd love to hear your opinion, as well as the opinion of others Smiley

This is quite interesting but you remember bollinger band is not just an indicator that determines the continuous movement on upward or downwards after it has touched the bands. This is because it can as well change direction just after it has touched up and it starts running down, so how do you determine this with the alarm also. Bollinger band is very sensitive in nature and can confuse a trader very fast.
527  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traffic will jam if bitcoin pumps on: February 25, 2023, 06:48:38 AM
People can not endure test of time, everybody is taking out their bitcoin investment because they've no strong foundation for bitcoin but those staying and keep trust the project of bitcoin will reap the reward of their patients.

In every commodity, there are people who fully believe in the product and knows the profit capacity and probably of it while there are people who just want to hang around for the little and near time profit, in trading parlance they are called scalpers. So understand it that there are weak hands and strong hands and this is also how bitcoin investment is, there are those believing in the long time and short time. It is not every investor that will stay for all the long time, there are those that will stop on the way.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: Is There a Lesson for Economies and Entrepreneurs to Learn from Bankruptcy? on: February 24, 2023, 04:21:50 PM
Why did they file for bankruptcy?
- rising interest rates
- high inflation
- Difficulty hiring
- ongoing war in Ukraine

I'd consider COVID related matters to be the biggest driver of bankruptcy within the last two years. Interest rates, inflation, labor shortages are all a result of COVID lockdowns causing the government to begin printing money as a form of economic stimulation. All the meanwhile, businesses are forced to close down.

To the extent government can force you to close your business, I don't know what an entrepreneur is suppose to do to combat that. Being flexible with e-commerce might be a mitigating factor but that isn't feasible for a lot of businesses.

I agree with your points @ Gyfts. Most of the challenges that the world is facing now regarding sloggish economy is as a result of the COVID pandemic. It grind the major manufacturing countries of the world and that caused production to drop, the effect of which is scarcity of goods and services then the available will become very expensive to get, causing artificial increase in value. Before the covid year in 2020, the rate of inflation was not as double as it is now meaning COVID-19 challenges was attributory to the effect now, production and supply chains are not what they are used to.
529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Startup for Technical Indicator Alarms on: February 24, 2023, 02:50:41 PM
This will be an interesting support to trading and I believe if you get your plan very well then you will get more people to like it. In the regards of bollinger band, how do you intend the alarm to trigger off? It is crossing up or down because bollinger can also be used to determine volatility and yet it could be silent sometimes.

However the alarm too will help more to ease stress of always checking out your trade at very short intervals.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: How rich would I be? on: February 23, 2023, 09:44:08 PM
You are probably writing much of assumptions. How do you think there is guarantee that you keep making profit from Dollar Cost Average? Remember the price of bitcoin consistently fluctuate and that means your hodling will also not be stable. Another question is how long do you want to be around before the end of bitcoin mining? Hodling for longer period isn't totally the only way to get profit from bitcoin but using the business strategy of buying cheap and selling when price is high is averagely profitable.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 23, 2023, 01:54:55 PM
If we begin to give more positive remarks to luck in trading, it means we are only agreeing that trading is same thing as gambling and this also means we are dragging the trading profession to the mud because trading is actually a profession IMO .

What we can consider luck in trade is when you have made an analysis or chart and the real market direction comes to your direction to confirm almost or all your sentiment and emotions to be right, then you can hit your "jack pot". You can be lucky that day and not to agree that trading is luck. Of course in life, there are days that are naturally sad, waking up on the wrong side of the bed and most activities will not favour you, as a trader you can watch out for those days and the days your chart analysis favours you.
532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Would you Describe Yourself As A Day Trader? on: February 22, 2023, 03:14:29 PM

But if the market situation reverses in the middle of my trading and I get stuck in that situation, I will hold on and not continue trading because it will not be good for me.

In such case where you are stucked in loses and you are sure it is no longer favourable for you staying there, I think exiting will also be fine to help you save some capital instead of allowing it to run out to your stop loss. If I get trapped sometimes I use such escape and wait for the next right move or otherwise stay out till the next day as a day trader.

Day trading is the act of buying and selling cryptocurrencies within a single day in order to make short-term profits. There is a significant amount of risk involved. As a matter of fact, day traders are akin to tightrope walkers. These individuals must be able to deal with high trading costs, a volatile market, regulatory risks, and other unpredictability.

This is looking like only day trader is having such risk but no, every type of trader encounter such whether scalper, day trader or swing trader.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: February 22, 2023, 12:55:51 PM
Op what you are trying to narrate is just unnecessary spending or wasteful spending and that could come from anybody no matter where they fall in the economy. The rich do unnecessary spending likewise the poor but I think it is more unreasonable when you see the poor who is living wasteful financial live because those money could have been used for other investment that can help them run away from poverty. The poor are suppose to be the one very careful in their spending.
534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 21, 2023, 08:52:10 PM
Unless you want to grind for more than a year and shoulder the losses while you're still learning.

And seriously most times you grind far beyond that space of time or through the life time of the trading experience, getting it right at some point and wrong at some point because of improper knowledge. Everyone wants to do trading just because there are no jobs but not because they have the passion for it.

My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade.

Can you drive if you don't know how to drive? No is the answer likewise to your question. Trading needs basic knowledge that will be sufficient for you as a beginner to guide you even when you are making losses not to lose all your capital by knowing how to take lesser risk.
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Everyone Eventually Buys at the Price they Deserve on: February 21, 2023, 03:32:18 PM
if there is one thing that I have learned so far in my Bitcoin journey, it is that everyone eventually buys at the price they deserve.

People don't buy at the price that they deserve but only buy at the price they think will start getting profit because nobody knows the best price. If you say a price they deserve then nobody wants to buy and afterwards they start to lose money. Everyone wants to be a wise investor and for bitcoin you can't hit your chest to be a wise investor until your investment starts giving you profit. Advise your friends that bitcoin investment is not totally a profiting investment especially if you don't start getting profit. They need to have the heart to sustain the time of loses.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Precisely or erroneous on: February 21, 2023, 01:32:05 PM
I hope what am doing isn't a bad idea for not saving funds?

I think you only want to say you prefer to hodl your money in bitcoin because I don't see any reason you give not to keep money in fiat bank only that it is difficult for you to do but excuse like third party withdrawal or deposit process would have been a good excuse. So you only saying you hodl your money in bitcoin. For knowledge sake, hodling money in bitcoin is more like investment because of the volatility and risk attached to hodling and not like fiat which is more of savings for some needs.

Investment in bitcoin is not the same with saving of fiat and on the long run if all things were good, the government use the savings for provision of social amenities as investment, so it is also important and good to make such money available through savings.
537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 19, 2023, 06:41:05 PM
What would then happened to those who invested at $12 plus?

Those who will choose to invest in such a high price should do a good back ground check to be sure it is not a pump and dump coins. If you are so hasty to make profit in cryptocurrency then you should be ready to pay the price. There have been projects like that in the past that got hyped and some got even above $100 but today are worthless. Cryptocurrency investment is a personal responsibility and that is the reason we should be careful and to take the risk of our action.
538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 19, 2023, 12:35:49 PM
Despite submitting details for KYC, there is yet the human factor of third party that ask for different levels of verification any time you are accessing such platform and that is against the spirit of cryptocurrency or decentralized operations. I prefer the spirit which blockchain is the technology for freedom and personal responsibility and not third party interference.
539  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: February 18, 2023, 09:24:34 PM
but you can't hold for long term with future trading actually your margin fund small and close with liquidation moment. Before losing much fund in future trading and spot trading more safety when facing floating moment.

It is good to educate us more on this point about futures trading which is a major point between spot and itself and this is what was said that you can't hodl in futures. Hodling in futures is waste of funds because you will be charged on a running trade that lasted to the next day like it is called swap. This happens on a pair that your allowed you stay over the day. Therefore, if you continue to hodl in futures, the swap will continue to increase as long as long you didn't stop the trade or exit the trade. So at the end if you calculate how much funds thet have gone into the running trade in the form of swap, you will understand it is a waste of time.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 18, 2023, 02:13:36 PM
With the quantity of money invested in the trade then you can see it is not only insider information but surely a planned business or partnership. Either this is between the top management of the project disclosing such information and hyped the token in the channel. This insider information is not ordinary and an ordinary investor or whale won't buy such without information and with the exit time, it just tells you how properly planned it was
