701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][RBPPS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool on: May 25, 2013, 07:28:07 PM
as we were moving to a new server earlier today, we dont have any backups. so i've found that the only available way to get those coins back to their owners is to split coins that lost track of owner between users who got their balance zeroed based on their hashrate. you all should have nearly correct balance now. i just forced backups to proceed after fixing balances and that should never happen again. sorry for the inconvenience.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][RBPPS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool on: May 25, 2013, 06:06:03 PM
something went wrong with balances . fixing.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][RBPPS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool 2 on: May 25, 2013, 03:42:51 PM
Code:
[2013-05-25 03:34:13] thread 0: 1846 hashes, 2.53 khash/s
[2013-05-25 03:34:13] thread 1: 1669 hashes, 2.29 khash/s

This is what i'm getting on the laptop Core Duo T2350 @ 1.86GHz, ubuntu 13.04x32 bit.

What do you think is this too low? I know it's old but maybe i can get a bit more.
i bet it takes more power than coins value
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][RBPPS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool on: May 25, 2013, 03:17:05 PM
you should see bogus coins/hr and round estimates for a few hours due to transaction database cleanup. balances are accurate.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange Confirmed][Pools] PowerCoin PWC RELEASE IS NOW! on: May 25, 2013, 01:14:19 PM
Hi Erundok.. I see your pool is almost not working.. sorry.
I have some small coins there.. but don’t see that block are being verified last 14 hours at all (in order automatic pay-out to be reached in my case).. any chance of manual pay-out ?
pool is working. thats just powercoin is dead. network hashrate is <10mh/s. i've re-enabled manual cashouts so all of you can take your coins out of pool balance.

Is the pool down, mining still going but can't access the web site?
should be online. try refreshing, we were changing server behind the ddos-protected ip.

just to mention. i've finally got some free time to get a domain name for my pools. check the new links at my sig.

Do we need to change the host on our miners?  Until when will the erundook hosts be valid?
i am not removing those anytime soon. you don't have to change anything now unless you want to Smiley

i am currently working on a big software update that should reduce number of stale/rejected blocks & shares. this is going to production in a day or two. stay tuned Smiley

so 40% are stale/orphans?
yep. some of them are your shares, and some are pool's blocks. i am working on pool software update to minimize the latter. should be in production in a day or two.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *** WorldCoin Pool Report *** All your WDC Pool Talk Here *** on: May 23, 2013, 07:14:27 PM
nope. that pool had a database corruption, this has nothing to do with currently running pools. and for worldcoin in general its a common case to have alot of rejected/orphaned blocks due to a high blocks per minute rate. currently i am working on a big software update to my pools to minimize those losses, but for now this is a common problem for just any worldcoin pool. calculators show a bigger value just because they're expecting a perfect situation where you had no stale/invalid shares and pool got no rejected/orphaned blocks. but reality hits us hard Smiley

You know, I've used 3 pools and my actual payout has been near my estimated payout in all pools.  Then again, I'm not looking at calculators, I'm looking at the information reported by the pool (which I believe is based upon the number of shares submitted).  You also have to keep in mind that difficulty changes three times in one day.  That could also throw off estimates.
ah. if you were talking about pool estimations, then there is really something wrong about that. i don't know how mmcfe(the most common pool software you see here and there) handles this. what i can say is that my pools do show the real average income for the account - this is calculated based on real transactions you had past hour. so that can fluctuate with difficulty and pool/miner luck, but not any more than that.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *** WorldCoin Pool Report *** All your WDC Pool Talk Here *** on: May 23, 2013, 07:03:56 PM
the last two pools i've been at have been paying me about 55-60% of what my estimated payout should be.

This is BigVerns pool, and now Multipool.in

any idea why this is?

In fact, the very first pool i joined on launch day had a similar problem. The pool owner ended up with a large number of coins in his wallet, and had no idea why. He ended up paying out the excess to everyone based on total shares earned and shut down the pool. I suspect a similar problem is going on with these pools, and the pool operators just aren't aware of it?

Hi guys,
Are you joking? I looking up for nvc-pool and find you, but instead pool I see Nginx default page.
could you read a bit more please? it says pool was closed until stratum gets a patch to support the novacoin. this just happened, so we're opening again within a few days.
