564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCoin: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: November 30, 2013, 09:30:41 AM
Guys, here’s my pie in the sky proposal. I wanted to throw it out there as a starting point in how to get this project back on the tracks and moving forward. I invested time into this proposal, as well as discussing it with my business partner, so I would highly appreciate if someone from the board would take 10 minutes and speak to me directly about it, even if the answer is a "no".
---------------
I think we can pretty much all agree that the 900lb problem with things at the current point is that there is no dedicated dev team, and there is a lack of process control/procedure. The current devs we have have done a great job getting us to this point, but they are only working part time (due to their perfectly understandable need to sustain themselves and pay their bills). We sorely need a dedicated team that can work on the core part of Mastercoin, and serve as a lynchpin over which the community ecosystem can form.

YES +1

569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should MasterCoin have its own forums? on: November 21, 2013, 11:51:38 AM
No, it isolates mastercoin from bitcoin, perhaps contact theymos and ask if we can have a mastercoin section on bitcoin talk

571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: November 19, 2013, 02:12:52 PM
BTC is dropping and MSC is going lower, makes me sad, shouldn't it be opposite? Cheesy
Mastercoin is a VERY inefficient market.  Things don't track well in inefficient markets.  If we had 1000X traders, you might pick up such trends.  Now, we have so few traders that any attempt to spot a trend is plain crazy.  You won't see them.  "In order to build a castle from bricks, it is necessary that the bricks be sufficiently smaller in size than the castle".  Something to do with that.

Mastercoin is also very hard to value, like bitcoin, it is a gamechanging technology
One thing that for sure is that if all the specs are created and the protocol functions as the white paper states, the current price of MSC is peanuts compared to what it could be possibly worth

574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: November 18, 2013, 10:18:47 AM
Yep no problem about taking profits !

Weak hand to strong hand, like always

Some things never change, ppl here could be selling to the equivalent of the "one million dollar pizza r", mastercoin is a revolutionary idea, anyways I would like to place a 100 msc order at 0.1, hopefully I pick up some cheap coin Wink

Ripper, how will lukes patch affect plans of the mastercoin protocol, iss it something to be worried about?, are their contingency plans?, what are they? this is the only area which i am unclear of
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: November 17, 2013, 01:46:40 PM
Please add 50 MSC  @ 0.5 to the order book

PS. if anyone hasn;t heard takichoma is now selling real mastercoins, (not test MSC) in the distributed exchange!! if you can figure out how to run it, big step forward for MSC

I just released 0.0.8 and put a real selling offer online right now for 10 MSC @ 0.2!

It's hosted on address 1EAuHj8Z6rTCHPxXfaGzzPsZevC2mg1XAj. I am guaranteeing this offer, which means that if you buy it and it becomes invalidated because of a spec change at a later date I will return the Bitcoins back to you. Version 0.0.8 can be used to try and purchase this offer.

Prove I own the address:

It's better to begin setting a MSC mining pool now. MSC transactions will be given the highest priority and each miner believes in MSC can join this pool instead.

Or do what should have been done right from the start, and run Mastercoin as a real alt-coin rather than piggy-backing on Bitcoin.

worst idea ever
