Bitcoin is dropping like a hot knife through butter,

But who really wasn't expecting this at all at some point, it was a matter of when than will it, and how much higher it could go before it dropped

I think we will see 50's before a gradual climb back up

what are your thoughts ?

Disclaimer - OP is a bitcoin bull
842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's be realistic. For what reason do you really think Bitcoin will rise? on: July 05, 2013, 10:47:11 AM
Because people will forget and history tends to repeat itself.

+100

People have short term memory
99 out of 100 people don;t know about bitcoin( and the ones your thinking in your head who do probably only know it becouse of you)

Bitcoins infrastructure is growing

more people will use it

6 billion people
trillions of dollars in the world
only 21 million bitcoins, bitcoins can be divided into 7 decimal places so if it does go up or down its irrelevant, its meant to be a currency anyways
843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just looks at how calm these people are.. on: July 04, 2013, 12:05:33 PM
tbh they've probably already taken out a couple mil and don't give two tosses about what happens to the rest of the free bitcoins they got for being an early adopter

845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not panic, its not the end of bitcoin FFS on: July 03, 2013, 06:53:53 PM
Why not sell ? is the wise solution. If you sell yesterday you will have 91$ per BTC, if you sold today you have 81$ per bitcoins if you sell tomorrow you will have 71$ for BTC Smiley Its wise decision

No because no one knows if it's gonna be $71 tomorrow or back at $91.

Panic selling is the worst thing you can do. If you are long term bullish on bitcoin which I imagine most of us are (this IS the bitcoin forums) then you should be holding now. Or buying if you are continuing to invest.

Day traders without insider information may get lucky from time to time but they will ALWAYS lose in the long run.

cheers for that
846  Economy / Speculation / Do not panic, its not the end of bitcoin FFS on: July 03, 2013, 06:22:43 PM
Everyones panicing as if we havn't seen  a drop before, i mean by now i would think that the majority of the forum members are desensitised to drops as they have seen it in bitcoin so many times,  thats how bitcoin is, and no doubt bitcoin will go back up, its called the circle of bitcoin, if anything now s the time to buy ! 80 dollar coins! you were all thinking 80 dollar coins were cheap when bitcoin was 180 dollars, now its 80 dollars, nothings changed its still cheap

point is

either

hold
buy

but

DO NOT SELL

"- Each share entitles the owner to 1/100 of the BTC proceeds from a KNC Miner Saturn mining 24/7 for a minimum of 30 months"...

Doesn't seems strange that you are buying a Jupiter and the shares are for Saturn???

thank you for stating the typo error, i will have that edited

Leviatus crypto-mining group

We have decided to organise a group buy for the KnC miner Jupiter. We are issuing 100 shares at  bitcoins each. Price may vary based on exchange rate. 6 shares will be reserved for the organisers. 94 shares at  BTC per share will cover all costs including shipping and set-up.

Are we qualified?

Yes, we already have a mining operation which has been running for several months. We are looking to expand into the ASIC game

Are we trustworthy?

Yes, we can offer photo identification of the team behind the mining operation if needed. I have been an active member on this forum for almost a year. I have been involved in several transactions and currently run a Litecoin mining operation with an associate.

Where will the mining rig be situated?

The KnC mining rig ‘Jupiter’ will be situated in southwest London, UK. The shares issued are only for a holding in the KnC Jupiter, not part of our overall mining group. The Rigs will be covered by insurance.

When will dividends be paid out?

Dividends will be paid out every Two weeks. Each shareholder will be paid a dividend depending on the amount of shares they hold.

Why do you need an investment from the public?

We don’t, we are financially capable of ordering several of these mining rigs with our own capital, however there are risks involved when ordering from KnC miner. We want to share the risks and rewards for those that invest with us.

Any questions, Identity verification or anything else, please let us know and we shall supply it.

Below is a description of our share offering:

Payment Address - 19VeHMyaHjcTzXS2FXKasFRvwPbwXDxE9X

This group buy is intended to give forum members the opportunity to purchase hashing power through the recently launched KnC Miner (https://www.kncminer.com) company located in Stockholm, Sweden. I have structured the purchase so that members can get involved in ASIC mining using the KnC Jupiter device without having to pay the full ~70BTC for their own machine.

Offering:
- 94 shares at  each are available. (100 shares in total, including 6 shares owned by the organisers)
- Each share is worth approximately 4Gh/s of hashing power
- Each share entitles the owner to 1/100 of the BTC proceeds from a KNC Miner Saturn mining 24/7 for a minimum of 30 months*, payment will be made to the address of the shareholders bi-weekly. (*Miner breaking after 12 month warranty, random acts of nature like data center burns down, internet downtime, etc. not covered in 24/7 for 30 months. If mining is no longer profitable before the end of the 30 month period, mining will cease)
- The 6 outstanding shares will be owned by the organisers as payment for maintenance of the miner, peripheral hardware needed UPS, possible router etc.
- After 30 months we will consider decommissioning and possibly selling the miner if it is no longer profitable to run. This can be put to a shareholder vote.
- Organiser shares will cover maintenance, insurance of equipment from theft, and work including initial set up (not electricity).

IN CASE OF NON DELIVERY:
We take no responsibility for the possibility that KnC Miner does not deliver the miner. There is a certain level of risk which is taken on by shareholders, you can never 100% guarantee anything when it comes to pre-orders. By purchasing shares, you agree that you understand the risks involved and agree that the organisers accept no liability in the case of non-delivery. We will, of course, do everything within our power to recover the costs and reimburse our shareholders, less a 1% fee for our time/management.

To purchase shares, send  per share to address:

19VeHMyaHjcTzXS2FXKasFRvwPbwXDxE9X

- PM me/and post the transaction ID in this thread. ONLY use sending addresses you fully control. I will use the sending address for BTC payouts for your share ownership and if you request change of payout address I will require that you can sign your share purchase address to make this happen OR I WILL NOT CHANGE THE RECEIVING ADDRESS. This is for your own protection.

If I have forgotten anything or you require more info etc. Please feel free to ask/post in this thread.
Should the Group Buy not sell all 94 available shares within 3 weeks I reserve the right to refund all share holders their purchase price -1% for transaction fees and management of the group buy.

(Thanks to TheSwede75 and SilentSonicBoom for their similar group buy that I used as a template for my group buy)

german government decided that no taxes have to be paid on gains of bitcoin prize rising (speculation) if the bitcoins are held for a 12 months period. that is much softer as on stockmarket gains! the german government gives bitcoin speculators an edge over traditional stockmarket speculators.

ok i have a question smoothie, why did you copy 'vires in numeris' from casascius, doing that isn't very creative, infact is almost copying

and why are you charging like 75 dollars for half ounce troy silver, those margins are ridiculous........ even casascius was cheaper when his came out

1. Writing a general saying in latin is not copying. If I used "Casascius" on my coins then that would be copying. All crypto comes from the same trust in math/numbers. Hence why I used it.

Honestly is using the numer "10" also copying because Casascius first silver coins used the number "10"?

2. I'm not charging any more than what Casascius charged with his 1 oz silver coins. At the time of his release they were approximately $65 for the silver coin + 10 BTC + shipping. So actually your claim is false from my recollection on price.

Basically this is a free market, if people choose to buy my coins, then great. If they don't I won't complain. You have that right to not purchase them.

 Smiley

Smoothie, we both know copying the word ten isn't like copying 'viris in numeris', imagine if adidas copied nike's 'just do it 'slogan and gave your excuse, ROFL, that latin quote wasn't used to be associated to the coins by satoshi nakomoto or a famous cryptographer, it was conjured and coined by casascius, and you've ripped it off him, you could have chose something else and been more original is all i'm saying
and also smoothie casascius charged that for 1 troy oz not half troy oz your profit margins are ridiculous

1. There is not TM on "vires in numeris" as you are attempting to use an analogy with "just do it" as Nike likely has a trademark on. Point there is moot in terms of copying because no one has the TM on the latin language as a whole. Neither does anyone have one on "vires in numeris".  Cheesy

2. If you do the math I am charging roughly $32-$35 for a half troy ounce coin. Double that and you get about the same price as Casascius charged. Not to mention 1 LTC donation for each coin sold goes to Litecoin development, the leatherette case, the capsules.

As I said before, if no one buys from me (and you don't have to  Smiley) that is okay with me. I'll just have a bunch of physical silver litecoins to myself. The batch before you was merely a community gauge. If it failed and no one bought them, no problem.

Given this is the free-market and I can choose to charge what I wish, that is what I do.

Let's revisit this and see how well the investors who chose to buy my first batch of coins make out when they try to resell/auction their coin purchase (if they ever sell) to another buyer.

I suspect you will see the same premium get built up like the Casascius verison #1 coins. As I said earlier in this thread, I hope people put some thought into their purchase before they buy. I would rather someone not buy than buy then change their mind given there are no refunds on purchases once I accept payment for coin orders.

 Smiley Smiley Smiley

Are you trying to say that its original as it still hasn't been trademarked, lol smoothie you are a riot
