81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 11, 2018, 09:51:13 AM
I have been busy doing my job so I have not watched this ann in 3 weeks.
I just re-read the old pages, there are too many vague misdemeanor accusations and FUD ....
What the hell is going on?
And without that, I would still hold my BNK token. lol  Grin

There are folks who are bent on crippling this project from the onset. They are still much around and working very hard. Fortunately, Bankera era is provimg them wrong every inch of the way down the roadmap.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 11, 2018, 06:36:48 AM
got mine.

Weren't you the guy screaming scam? If it is the scam those guys will go down, but till now they are doing everything by the book, with excellent support. But if someone fu.... his email address which is verification it is not Bankera problem.
If they are going to do business like they are doing, they will go on the top 100 on cmc for sure. Not one more shity China useless coin. We are waiting USA to join us.

It's amusing how anyone who invested his time or mony on the Bankera project could come here to scream scam. It's like one shooting at his own foot.

I got my pro-rata coins too. Bankera has been faithful so far. Big thanks to the team.

Your email is your access to your account, where you keep money at. Therefore, you must make sure you are using a reliable and long-term service, not an email that expires after certain days/weeks/months. Many users do not even have verified accounts, so how SpectroCoin team be 1000% sure that it is you contacting them for a change?
In this situation, your email and personal data are the proof that you are the true owner of the account. It cannot be changed, because that would eliminate the whole purpose of it. It is the same as if you walk into a bank, present no identity confirmation and demand that they transfer funds from one account to another.
You are fully responsible for the provided information and the safety of your credentials.

I don't agree with your view completely. Your email is your ID, yes. But in the case of ID documents and bank verification you mentioned ID documents can be changed or replaced when lost. So, why not email addresses? What harm would it be if SpectroCoin added security questions for email recovery purposes? I assume you are opining that it's better for users to loose funds stuck in SpectroCoin rather than change email addresses to have access their accounts.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 08, 2018, 07:20:29 AM
I just twhtted on SpectroCoin: I'm concerned, just as some other members of the SpectroCoin community, that a wallet email cannot be changed & users who loose access to their email equally loose access to their funds on SpectroCoin. Lost access shouldn't mean lost funds. #MakeUserEmailChangableOnSpectrocoin
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 08, 2018, 06:10:31 AM
Trust me, SpectroCoin support and I are on a first name basis! I'm currently being told there is nothing they can do, which I consider to be garbage. There are *always* options. Cryptopia, where I have the same problem, just last night changed my account profile email address based on account information I'd provided them. I will keep bugging SpectroCoin. They have no right to hold my funds hostage.

I hope they haven't made some terribly stupid design mistake where the user id in their database is somehow linked to or derived from user's email address. Otherwise it's just a matter of getting ahold of the right person. Keep the pressure on them until the problem is kicked to someone who isn't a low level support grunt.

Even if they have, there are ways to deal with it. They said I should set up a new account with a different email address and then transfer the assets over. I can't do the second part due to email confirm requirements, but I already took care of the first part. They would need some way to prove that I own both accounts so that they can make the transfer on their end and feel confident that no one is getting scammed. I suggested they make a small deposit of some currency into each account and then have me tell support what it is. That I can do since I'm still able to log into the original account and the new account. Funny thing is that banks do that sort of thing all the time to double check that you actually own the bank account you are trying to link to whatever third party service it is.

Yes, I am going to keep bugging them about this until I regain access to my funds. There simply has to be a way to make it work for everyone. Thanks for the support.

I think this is an issue we as a community should press down on spectroCoin for a  change. Cyptocurrency services operators such as SpectroCoin should find a fair balance between their corporate policies on security and customer convinience and satisfaction. We should pressure SpectroCoin for a change. This is also one way through which the community could define standards and self-regulate the industry.

I would definitely appreciate any help and support anyone here wants to offer. I think there should always be a way to change emails or recover accounts where email access was lost, because it does happen sometimes.

I think we should all head to SpectroCoin's official Twitter and Facebook pages. There we can en mass convince SpectroCoin to do something about this.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 07, 2018, 09:05:51 PM
I need to warn people. You cannot change your SpectroCoin profile email address! So what happens if you lose access to your email address? The answer is you just lost all the funds in your account.

I'm learning this lesson the hard way, but never, ever register on any cryptocurrency related service with an email address that might expire or for any other reason not be there in a year or next month. YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT. Your profile email address is your permanent identity.

On SpectroCoin, you can create a new account and transfer all assets to the new account. If you have any doubts about the email address you currently use in your profile, then do it now. Use a gmail address to register an account, or some other email provider that is too big to fail. Make the change while you still have access to the old email address. Because once you lose access to it, you will no longer be able to confirm withdrawals and that's it. Bye bye funds!

SpectroCoin is not alone. Poloniex says they can't change profile email addresses either. Cryptopia for practical purposes (because they do not respond to support tickets) can't either. BitTrex has a process you can go through to change your email address (and I did this successfully) but it's not automatic. Coinbase does allow you to change your profile email address automatically, but they seem to be the exception.

When it comes to cryptocurrency related services, your profile email address is your permanent identity. So make sure your email address is also permanent!

If you have problems with your current email, you must contact SpectroCoin support. There is a security procedure to be followed in such situation and they can inform you better in case this happens.

Trust me, SpectroCoin support and I are on a first name basis! I'm currently being told there is nothing they can do, which I consider to be garbage. There are *always* options. This one project that is created to meet a serious need in the global travel industry. Hopefully, the ICO will be a great success. Goodluck!

I think the forum activity requirement (15 posts per week) for the signature campaign of this project is quit high and unreasonable. Though the reward is good, but it could encourage spaming by the participants.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO]🔥 BITCOINUS - Ecommerce payment processor🔥 on: March 06, 2018, 08:27:19 PM

A great article from our Advisor - Dylan Sharkey, Senior Advisor at Provoco, Ex LinkedIn Head of Sales for MENA, Enterprise Ireland alumnus.

The heir to PayPal’s throne - can FinTech startup Bitcoinus succeed where Stripe failed?

The first quarter of 2018 was notable for two major announcements in the ecommerce and payments space.

The most promising potential usurper to PayPal’s crown; Stripe announced in January that they would completely phase out Bitcoin payments on their platform by April, citing high transaction costs and slow speeds. It seems a shame that the innovative disruptor founded by the precocious Irish Collison Brothers would take a step back rather than find a technical or operational solution.

A month later Coinbase, the popular consumer focused cryptocurrency wallet launched Coinbase Commerce enabling merchants to accept multiple cryptocurrencies directly into a user-controlled wallet. While not a truly decentralized solution, Coinbase’s approach is not hosted to the merchants have full control over their wallets and currency.

All aspects of finance are being impacted by Blockchain technologies. This should result, not only in significant cost reduction for market participants, but will transform financial services and online commerce as we know it. Cryptocurrency will do for payments what electronic mail did for communication.

Beyond FinTech — Power to the Participants
2018 will be remembered as the year that Crypto Payments went mainstream, massively disrupting the ecommerce space. The main incumbents, Paypal and Stripe have yet to embrace Cryptocurrencies while the only other serious contenders; Coinbase Commerce and BitPay are traditional centralized business. Decentralized user-centric ecosystems like Bitcoinus will dominate this sector as they reduce costs for all participants and put the power back into the hands of merchants and consumers.

Bitcoins is powered by a discreet ERC20 Powered Token called BITS. When payments are made with this token there will be zero transaction fees. When you combine best in class merchant dashboard & wallets, robust APIs, UX focused payment & checkout views, integration modules with low (or zero) fees you get a recipe for a FinTech platform that can grow exponentially.

“Personally I see Bitcoinus as the PayPal of the next few decades except that this time, (for once) the value will accrue to the ordinary people — the users and merchants — and not by a monopolistic centralized company charging high fees.”
As the network of merchants and users of the Bitcoinus wallet and BITS token grow, the value will accrue to the holders of the token; not the company as happens with traditional centralized companies like Coinbase commerce or Bitpay.

As well as saving consumers significant money by eliminating transaction fees for online payments, the fact that Bitcoinus is having a Token Sale is a rare chance for ordinary people to support and participate in the upside of the next Coinbase Commerce, Bitpay or indeed Stripe. All three are private companies and only Venture Capitalists and accredited investors got the chance to invest in the these multi million and billion dollar companies.

Personally I see Bitcoinus as the PayPal of the next few decades except that this time (for once)the value will accrue to the ordinary people — the users and merchants — and not by a monopolistic centralized company charging high fees.

The Bitcoinus ICO is now live with attractive bonuses for early investors. To support the Decentralized, Low Fee, Crypto Payments Revolution you can join us on:

The zero transaction fee will only be sustained if bitcoinus is not minable, otherwise miners could exploit the system by deploying some scripts to run transactions and mine such transactions in endless circles since no fee will be involved.

I keep getting a phishing warning each time I attempt to log into your site. Can check and correct this problem? Thank you

I am getting the same warnings, bro.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 05, 2018, 01:22:04 PM
Now that the ICO is over the dev team should hit the road and step on the gas pedal. There is now so much competition in the banking and payment processing area of the crypto space and there are now projects that are very similar to Bankera. The race for market dominance is on,  therefore the dev team needs to accelerate the achievement of project milestones in order to retain a vantage position in the race.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: European Crypto Bank ICO on: March 05, 2018, 07:36:43 AM
What exactly is the operational goal of this project going by the name? Will it be a European based crypto bank for global crypto community, or a crypto bank for the European market? In any which ways I think this project is huge judging by the project's MVP.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: March 04, 2018, 08:52:18 AM
The price of a monet is no longer helped by either bad or good news. I already doubt that the launch of mobile mining can help.

I agree with you. The dev team should have known that good timing and timeliness is crucial in this ever shifting cryptocurrency landscape.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] ✅ ✅ ✅ [ANN] KICKSTARTER FOR BLOCKCHAIN | Acorn Collective ✅ on: March 03, 2018, 10:37:49 PM
Any chances the bounty campaign will be reactivated? this project looks promising!

I just hope there will be another bounty campaign for the main ICO. Campaigning for more ACO to hold would be worthwhile.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: March 03, 2018, 11:04:10 AM
I am glad Bankera pulled this through to prove critics wrong.

Pulled what through? They're just starting.

The ICO is a success, at least. Some folks here never gave the ICO a chance and called it scam. Now that chapter  has a sweet ending.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: March 03, 2018, 06:53:21 AM
This team is gradually eroding the tremendous hype that was around this project with too many postponements and rescheduled timelines. So much talk on the media and little or no progress made in the lab. It seems to me that the team is working from the product called electroneum to the blueprint called the whitepaper.

Congrats! This was an outstanding bounty campaign. In fact, one of the very best in recent times. The team was very responsive – answering questions and fixing issues within hours. Again the twitter bounty was the easiest with such huge rewards. Kudos to the team!
