Mining will take place properly on the desktop version. The app doesn't use phone-cpu to  mine, but rather mines as a fixed rate. Although I don't think the phone will actually mine, but rather just return a few ETN so that it has the feel of mining. Then if people want to do it properly they can download the desktop version and start mining.

It's my understanding is that the app is a way to introduce people to the idea and make it more of a game.

I'm always a bit unsure of ICO's with $0.5 price ranges. They have so much room to dip when being released...never sure whether to buy ICO or get o the market.

Either way - this looks interesting and we'll probably see many more such computing projects over the next year. Trick is to pick the the winner...SONM has my money for now. Will keep on eye on this though.

Edit: Ah I see tier 3 prices are $1.88 - $2.78. Price probably won't dump to $0.5 then .

There's a huge difference between a scam and a project you don't like. Electroneum as an alpha version of the app in stores already, has done speaking events and visible advertising campaigns. To call it a scam at this stage is a very big stretch of the imagination.

Despite that oddness with Mark (the dude in a plane picture) mentioned in another thread I'm still excited about this project and looking forward to seeing what kind of mainstream adoption this can get. If this is the project that's able to introduce regular people to crupto and concepts like mining - well, that's what's going to make this so special if it works.

$0 .05 by December would be a very good start.

Has there been mention of how many tokens required set up a masternode?

1.) They're asking for way too much money in many cases. People are getting a bit weary of supporting a project that asks for 50 million plus etc.

2.) Many people wait for the price to dump (usually) upon exchange release and buy below ICO.

2nd round of distribution is done and each got 250 tokens ( I think it was 250 for everyone - that's what most people in telegram reported getting).

They've got a project that has real-world application. They might not have the best marketing team in the world, but their devs are active and constantly updating.

Have there been any price speculations on where this could be in a few months? I'm guessing that with each new game release (poker, dice) etc. more players will enter in and not only increase the value but also lead to more tokens being burned (via raffle and whatever other mechanisms are planned).

Looking forward to it and appreciate that gluedog is active on slack answering questions and taking suggestions. Curious to see how the animated raffle versions look as well as dice and poker.

I'm assuming dice and poker will be browser-based with graphics etc?
