how can you check how much you are getting? Look at primespersec. use/type the command in the debug window: getmininginfo i see that number but how many coins does that translate into? im getting 4052 |

does the wallet mine for you? is there a miner button? I dont understand compeletly confused lol

I know but how do i mine with it? do i run cgminer? I personally just run the standard wallet with the following setting in the primecoin.conf: rpcuser=WarMachine rpcpassword=WarMachineRox gen=1 fyi, I don't actually use that username and password. does the wallet mine for you? is there a miner button? We need to ask support for a hosting plan for the Saturns.
says right in news release that KNC will only host Jupiters They take feedback just like they have with hardware im sure they can figure a solution if enough people ask for it. Doesnt seem to hard the same space is going to be taken up with less power. Cant hurt to ask, but that is their published response right now I know i asked them anyway, i plan on upgrading my saturn to a jupiter anyway within the first month, dont see the logic behind not hosting saturns or mercuries if people want to pay for it. For one thing, they take up the same amount of space as a Jupiter but produce half the output, and datacenters are charging you by the cabinet. So... Maybe some saturn owners still wouldnt mind paying the cost |

Depending upon the price of bitcoin and difficultly, it's very likely that a hosting plan won't be inexpensive enough for KnC or profitable enough for the customer. You can ask, but KnC is doing this because it's not in Saturn owners' interest to pay hosting fees. Possibly even $350 for Jupiter is alot, when if you host yourself electricity will be about $90/mo on the high end. For me it's $150/month for electricity, but yes - it's a question about how profitable it will end up being. I did the calculation and if I factor in shipping + power + possible downtime it comes out to about a wash for 6 months. 350 alot...ok, assuming the $90 estimate is accurate, that's only 260 for the service, with the best tweaks from the developers themselves.... sounds great to me... not o mention the fact you wont have to wait on shipping, so the first few days will pay for alot of hosting, hah It can be a double edged sword, say a forum member comes up with a tweak or solution and the devs want to take their time on an official solution. Yeah saving the shipping time is the best. |

Question that just crossed my mind will these units come with power supplies? Or do we provide our own?
We provide our own. We know that the max will be 1000w for a Jupiter or 500w with a Saturn - hold off on buying one until the final specs are confirmed, which is expected relatively soon. I have 3 from my mining rigs, and will want 1000w anyway since i can upgrade the saturn. |
