Is there any way to change the Last Trades for bitstamp to show if the trade was a bid or ask like you have with MtGox?

Currently it not possible because Bitstamp and BTC-e API does not return bid or ask flag for last trades.
If there is another way, I'll make it in feature.

Yeah, I tried selling so many times on BTCChina without success that it locked my account. No trading / withdrawal / anything for 8 hours until support wakes up.

Woo.

Hm. Interesting.
I have contacted BTC China developer and he said there is no requests count limits:

Quote
Hello July,

Thank you for pointing out the error.  The new getMarketDepth2 method allows you to request a arbitrary number of bid and ask orders from the complete order book. Let's say you only need to get the 15 highest buyers and 15 lowest sellers then it's possible to get that from getMarketDepth2.

Currently there is no request limitation for API requests, however that could be changed in future.

Regards,

Tony Leng

BTC China
https://www.btcchina.com

I'll contact him again and I'll make optimal requests interval.

I think there is a bug with "last trades" using Bitstamp. I see a lot more trades at a given level than are showing on any of the other live web tickers.
I think it just keeps on repeating the trade every few seconds until another real trade happens at another level. For example

It shows 0.99 @ 347.81, then that order keeps repeating several times until another order comes along at say 0.50 @ 348

Watch the it against http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusd and you will see what I mean.

I did have a look at the MtGox "last trades" and it does not do this so I think there is something up.

Yes, there is a bug in last trades. I'll release fix today.

Is the github link on your site the latest? The file dates there appear are not as recent.

Yes it is the lastest. Please use brunch testing until I'll release v1.08.

I think the problem is in BTCChina, not in QT Trader.

I tried to use their own sample code (PHP) to place an order and got "Not authorized".
No problem getting my profile balance, just can't place orders.

It is, but I'll try to improve stability and make it workable even it buggy.
786  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 11, 2013, 03:48:13 PM
Same for me, I can log in to btcchina with QT Trader and I get my stats and current balances but when I try to sell, nothing happens, no orders are put up. It works fine with Mtgox for me though.
I wonder if it's because I have 2 factor authentication on my btcchina account? hm..

I'm currently debugging it. Soon I'll release update with fixes.

I would like to make a feature request for a trailing stop loss. This would be very useful for many people. Thanks for the great program.

Thank you for feature request!
After v1.08 release I'll start working on script language. And you will be able to create own strategy and stop loss too.
So keep tracking updates.

I have created rules and it seems they are not executing idk what i am doing wrong api keys and everything else is running fine i can manually buy/sell but thats it. Using btc-e

Please explain more.

IGHOR I think there is a problem with the "Fee" icon. I can click it 10, 200 or infinite times.

You can adjust Calculator fee as you want, and it temporary until you close window.
It not affect your account fee.
All correct?

Hi!
In "Balance", it would make sense to subtract funds that are waiting for withdrawal, and therefore cannot be traded (or to show them separately).

Please send me 2 minutes debug file, while you waiting for withdrawal. And I'll fix it.
See how to do it in first message [Debug] section.

792  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 11, 2013, 01:03:59 AM
Hello IGHOR.
I'm using your latest version v1.07.94 in Win7
and it not work for btcchina.
waitting for change the new api of btcchina.
thank you.

Hi. It does work BTCChina, but I see currently Last Trades not working. I have updated to API v1.1 at v1.07.93
Developer of BTC China contacted me and I requested new API update to make it faster. Also he will tell me how to get Last Trades in better way.
There some times high api load and it not works.
Is it completely don't work or something working?
793  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 10, 2013, 10:04:41 PM
Not sure if this is just me, since I cant find anyone else post this issue I am assuming so:

I am using v1.07.94 [BETA], everything seems to work fine except for My Orders Log, and Last Trades which are blank. They work for your last stable release v1.07.01, just not 94

I'm on MTGOX trading in BTC/AUD.

Any help is appreciated, and thank you for such a great bit of open software!

Do you see your login and balance in program?
If yes, please send me debug file. (how to get it read first message).

Примечание для всех версий:
Для корректной работы время на вашей системе должно быть синхронизировано с сервером времени.
795  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 10, 2013, 05:25:21 PM
TIP for all versions:
For correct work your system time required to be synchronized with time server.
796  Local / Трейдеры / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Клиент Mt.Gox и BTC-e для Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 10, 2013, 03:27:33 PM

797  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 10, 2013, 03:19:40 PM
Tested on Mac and it working well. But you are not first who have this problem.
This is permission problem.
Give full rights to this directory /Users/YourName/.config/QtBitcoinTrader

Okay, so I can see how settings not getting written would cause this. ~/.config/QtBitcoinTrader doesn't exist, so am I supposed to change permissions on ~/.config/ ? Change to what exactly?

Also, this permissions issue is likely because this is not how preferences/application settings are supposed to be stored on mac osx. The correct directories would be ~/Library/Preferences or ~/Library/Application Support/

I'll move this folder to ~/Library/Preferences soon.

I'm using your latest version v1.07.94 in Win7

When I try to add or modify a rule and then I click the "Add Rule" button this message show up:

"Qt Bitcoin Trader has stopped working.
Check online for a solution and restart the program
Restart the program"

Previous version (v1.07.93) without problem for me.

I'll fix it soon. Thank you for report.
799  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 08, 2013, 07:34:55 PM
Important!:

I have seen at least 5 people on reddit and forums saying that QT Bitcoin Trader doesn't work because Key and Secret are rejected, if you are experiencing this problem do one of two things:

Easy way: Do not copy your keys directly from bitstamp to QTBT, first copy your keys elsewhere (Word, Notepad, StickyNote), and then copy and paste from there to QTBT.

Guaranteed way: Typing your credentials instead of copy/pasting, be sure you typed them correctly, it may take a while to do but once you have done that your credentials should not be rejected.

Good luck!

Ighor may i suggest you to stick this on your main post? While you fix it on the code.

Can you please confirm is it works well on v1.07.94?
800  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 08, 2013, 07:33:41 PM
If you cannot create profile, it maybe profile folder permissions problem.
Profiles folder is here: ~/.config/QtBitcoinTrader and you can give write rights to fix it.
For Windows profile folder is here: %localappdata%/QtBitcoinTrader

Program is vary stable now, and I'll release v1.08 within a week I think.
