I did some searching as I was remembering something and came up with this?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=765360.0

xcash was a scam coin a while back... trying to scam again?

Please explain, this seems like a good project but so did the other...

Also, this...
someone got rid of this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5029709.0

Also, whats up with the 40% premine? insane...

Hi, Thank you for raising your concerns about the project

For the first link we have nothing to do with that coin.
We are aware there is an ERC20 token as well by a similar name, which we have nothing to do with as well.

The XCA SCAM thread, I do remember seeing this on the first or second month after we launched. I believe someone made it because they did not get an airdrop, and then a few people posted they got their airdrop on that thread. I have no idea why it was removed. It looks to me like it was deleted by a moderator because their is an official scam list. I looked at it and xcashes is on there, again we dont have anything to do with that coin either.

As for the premine
It is a larger premine that some coins, but it makes sense if you look through the whitepaper and the website

20% for the airdrop. This is half of the premine, that were giving back to the community. The whole point of this is to spread the word, and to allow people to have a little X-CASH to use, before they buy kind of thing. This also helps decentralization, since someone who might have no mining computers and little money, can get a small amount of X-CASH for free.

5% for private investors. This is the small part for big investors, and the remaining unsold part will be airdropped to the community.

5% for the team. This is the 5% for us personally to have us all have an incentive to make the coin great. Our goal is to have everyone one who is part of the team to have a percentage of that 5%, this way every team member has an incentive. You can read more about the releasing of the coins on the 1st page, but basically they are released 20% of our stake every 10X of the market cap starting from 10M. Meaning we will all get 20% of our promised share when we hit 10M marketcap, meaning we have got 0 coins so far from the 5% team coins. This also means that it will be really tough for us to get the last percentages since we will have to reach a very high market cap to get to 100% of our promised coins.

10% team, this is for covering monthly expenses, and to allow us to build the infrastructure of our coin.

Our premine is very competitive and our locking of team funds to the marketcap instead of time (6 months etc) is also very unique.
We also are a non ICO coin, that has published who is behind the team since day one, to add transparency to the project.

This is indeed a very good answer. My personal opinion about X-cash is that it's probably the most interesting new coin on the stage now. Whitepaper is convincing and inspiring, the project seems to make sense in all its aspects, and even though it is a fork of another project (which isn't? just a very little list) it has a lot of unique features which are going to evolve further. Team is NOT anonymous and fully crediblke by all means. Roadmap is very solid and ambitious. In other words, green flags everywhere.

Just one advise: the community is waiting for a signature campaign to promote the project further, but if someone prepares some nice signature I'm ready to wear it even if there is no signature campaign. And so should be others who are passionate about this project.

Not clear if the givaway is still ongoing or not. The dedicated thread linked in the OP is almost empty.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP]X-CASH - Global Payments | Cryptonight v7 | Fast.Secured.Low-cost. on: November 10, 2018, 01:21:18 AM
I've read somewhere that X-Cash may be planning to introduce KYC for its airdrop receiver, so as to better fight multi-accounts. My opinion is that that would be a strategic mistake for some pretty obvious reasons:

1. Being originally a fork of Monero X-Cash appeals naturally to people looking for privacy - a KYC is not exactly what people looking for privacy would wish for, especially the educated Western people who are in crypto because of its philosophy and principles, and not just for the free money. Most of the educated airdrop receivers would just renounce to get further airdrops. Nobody with some brain in the West would give away their private data for 7$ a month (which is the current value of the airdropped x.cash). In other words: your airdrop community would likely lose 100% of the people who really care for the fundamental ideas behid cryptocurrencies.
2. Multi-accounters from poor countries where crypto airdrops & bounties are an important tool of survival wouldn't be scared off by a full KYC - they would just get all family, relatives and neighbours to give them IDs and docs for full KYC. Where money is deeply needed all privacy concerns disappear.
3. The final result of a full KYC of airdrop receivers would simply be that of sending a much higher percentage of Xcash to people of poor countries. While this would surely have nice ethical implications, i strongly doubt it would help XCASH's ambition of appealing to the Western banking system and financial institutions, with which it supposedly wants to collaborate. Moreover, people of poor countries who are using airdrops to survive and to feed families are more likely to have to dump immediately all their free coins, which obviously is something which affects the price. Nothing against all this happening, as I've said it's a very nice ethical implication, but I would not be eager to shift too much the balance of the airdrops in that direction.
4. While fighting fake accounts and multi accounts is a necessary task, doing that at the price of impoverishing the community is NOT a good idea IMHO. There is no perfect solution to this problem, and the end result of radical solutions might just be that of a darwinian selection of the worst people - ie the best cheaters.

This is a very good point you are making, Stalin. Obviously it would be paradoxical to make an airdrop to widen the adoption base of X-cash and then to scare away half of the community (actually the better half, as you say) imposing a KYC to get a privacy oriented coin. You have provided good food for thought.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TES] ϟ The Tesla ϟ Decentralize the Energy System ϟ TeslaStarter on: August 25, 2018, 12:05:52 PM
Friend, but my wallet without a password!
And the first transaction was a month ago.

Your wallet should have a password. Only if you're staking should be unlocked.
Is your wallet staking 24/7?
The priority of your wallet to receive staking coins is related to the coinAge and the amount of coins in your wallet.
Sooner or later, your wallet will receive staking coins and the amount received during 1 year will be the 7% of your total coins.

Why since this new version 4 is all the rewards only 5 teslas no matter what the staked amount is?.
Can the devs please explain this as my rewards instantly dropped down to only 5 teslas after upgrading to version 4

First time I read about this issue.
Send pics of your wallet transaction history before and after moving to v.4 by pm please.

The purse has risen, the second day in a row there are one orphans, with what it can be connected? What can be done? Or treatment will be only one thing-reinstalling the wallet?

I'm guessing that purse has risen means you have installed the last wallet version, the v.4.0.
Orphans blocks are connected to someone staking that block and transmiting the info to other blocks before you do. It's connected to someone having older and bigger addresses. It's a matter of time you start receiving staking rewards. You don't have to re-install the wallet, you only have to leave it open and staking.

I also see 2 bugs in this version of the TES wallet:

1) When I check the staking status - it always answers: "No suitable inputs were found" Shocked

2) The stakes that the wallet earns are 5+ coins always, but if you check the details of the transaction - then there shows 5- (for example, 4.77 TES)!

 Shocked Huh Huh

All this is very confusing, I draw the developer's attention!

First bug is being solved for the next minor wallet update.
Second bug, could you please send the link to the transaction so we can see it in detail?

In addition to TES, the developer has three more coins. When a lot of objects, the attention is scattered. But you're right, to attract attention we must, to maintain optimal performance of the coin wallet.

I've been in cryptos for more than 4 years.
I'm dev in Teslacoin and Pesetacoin. Both coins represent the mayoritiy of my investment portfolio. I'm medium-term invested in more than 50 coins.
The way the development and maintenance of this 2 coins are funded is with the profit I make in the other coins (atleast these is where my contributions come from).

Poor Tesla, who has been parasitized go give appeal to a coin which has basically nothing to do with him. I guess we will soon see also an Einsteincoin, etc.

Advancement in technologies are rarely welcomed at the start. Same was said for BTC back in 2008/09 and if you remember first ever recorded price of BTC was 0.009 USD.

True, price is not everything... technology is important, good projects, price will follow
Many pnd coins die slowly after a lot of pump
Good coins survive

I agree with you in the principle, but I personally cannot see how this advancement in Technologies is reflected of boosted by Teslacoin. Perhaps that is not sufficiently explained in the ANN.

We've already sponsored the biggest event of Free Energy in the world  but the main way Teslacoin will contribute to the advancement in energy tech is TeslaStarter.
You can read more about it in the whitepaper
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YFuLFD-Mt0Xi8_iWU7dJEUlWMnT8IM69/view

Well, Teslastarter sounds cool and that sponsorship is a very promising beginning, so this project could actually end up doing good.

I didn't get any feedbacks on my question if the Bounty campaign is still running... not very motivating.

Hello and greetings dear BountyX ,

Thank you for your query and sorry for a delayed response. The bounty campaign is running and shall continue until the end of the ICO. Thank you for your support and participation.

Kindly continue to spread the good word about our project for the greater good of humanity. We look forward to your continued support and participation.

Please have a great year ahead.

Best regards,
Team P2PS,

Hello, Dev!
1) when will the ICO be completed?
2) when will the tokens be counted in the signature spreadsheet? because we have been working for 3 months and still do not know whether our work is credited or not. I have not worked for several weeks because of this ...

Hello and greetings dear kruzer200,

Thank you for your queries.

1. The phase 2 of the ICO is scheduled to be completed on Aug 31, 2018.
2. The campaign manager has already stated and posted earlier that the tokens will be counted in about 2 weeks after the end of the ICO. Please continue the great job you are doing in supporting one of its kind in the world project. Thank you for your support and participation.

Kindly continue to spread the good word about our project for the greater good of humanity. We look forward to your continued support and participation.

Please have a great year ahead.

Best regards,
Team P2PS,

Ok, thanks for this clarification, I had also slowed down activity because of that lack of feedback, now looking forward to resume it.

Are the bounty campaign still running? I'm asking because the spreadsheet seems not to have been updated lately. I'm  a big fan of this project but for some weeks I have been busy so I didn't follow crypto issues on BCT for a while.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market Goes Down and Down on: May 24, 2018, 07:29:02 PM
The market going up and down within a range in fact is very welcome by traders who usually make many with the so-called range-trading, one of the safest way of trading. Of course, you must know how to do that, Smiley
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: May 24, 2018, 11:31:38 AM
Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

Life is too short to read all whitepapers out there, even more since some of them have the size of a book. However, if you plan to invest in any project and you DON'T read the whitepaper and then you end up losing your moment, well, then it's your fault only. From a whitepaper you can learn MANY things about the quality of a project.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does holding long term can be worthy despite of unpredictable market? on: May 24, 2018, 10:59:10 AM
I am still eager to think more positive ways despite how unpredicatable the market is. We couldn't control it actually because if there's an option to manipulate the current market, I woudl really love to do that. We're bound here to earn profit so the desire is always there , but since the current situation remarkably stressing us out, maybe we must stay calm for the main time.

Your OP is a google translation masterpiece. This being said, holding long term relies on the belief that what has been happening in the sector in the past 10 years (a quite chaotic uptrend) will continue also in the future. Is it that simple.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is crypto industry dangerous ? on: May 24, 2018, 10:55:27 AM
i want to know what makes the cryprto dangerous? to the point that many countries band the use of crypto in their countries. I want to hear your opinion

Actually the biggest danger posed by the "crypto industry" is the waste of electrical energy needed for the POW. Bitcoin alone is consuming more electricity than Ireland. If that consumption will grow more and more THAT will be a REAL and measurable damage to the world.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best exchanges to trade. on: May 24, 2018, 10:45:51 AM
It doesn't really matter on which exchange you start trading, the real issue is if you are able or not to trade. Trust me, without some proper training you are very likely to rapidly lose your money. Look on youtube for some courses to learn about the basics of training before you actually put real money into the game.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a chance i will double or even triple my investment if i buy BTC now? on: May 24, 2018, 10:43:11 AM
It very much depends on your time horizon. Short term you may even manage to actually HALF your investment, but who knows. Long term, you are quite likely to double or triple or even more multiply your investment, but it may take years.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if you lose $2,000 in trading? on: May 24, 2018, 10:06:02 AM
...and finally, once YOU HAVE lost $2000 in trading, make a post on bitcointalk where you explain all the mistakes which you have done, and get 22 Merits in return. Smiley That's not exactly like still having 2000$, but surely it helps Smiley
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders, why don't you just trade forex? on: May 24, 2018, 10:02:51 AM
This OP is from 2011. Anyone trading on Forex from 2011 would most likely have lost all their money, since stats say that 95% of Forex traders lose money.
On the other side, anyone starting to trade Bitcoin from 2011 would now likely we very very rich.
I think this answers this question once and for all.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bearish trend is over on: May 24, 2018, 08:59:22 AM
Ahem, the bearish trend is over.... really? The latests analysts' forecast have started to mention $3000 as a downwards target for Bitcoin. True ot not, it doesn't look very good now. Better to avoid such wishful thinking.
