I had the same issue and was a DNS error, I recomend you to use the file "epools.txt"( read the bitcoin post to see how to use it) and put pools of the other sites: asia1.ethermine.org, eu1.ethermine.org, us1.ethermine.org and us2.ethermine.org

I am specifically looking for Nvidia GTX 1070, 1060 supporting coins to start mining.
Please suggest which algorithm and coin best suit for mentioned GPU.
You can mine thought nicehash( https://www.nicehash.com ) and the program will mine with the best algorithm at any time and you'll be payed with bitcoin

I've got the following problem with 7th and 8th GPU on my motherboard: I had 6 GPU (5x 1080ti and 1x 1070) on my ASROCK Z370 Killer SLI motherboard, 2 power sources 1200W. All drivers are updated for motherboard, GPUs, I also use onboard graphics card as I have plugged in LCD to it. Few weeks ago, I found out that I can use M.2 slots as PCIe slot so I bought additional 1080ti. So, I bought M.2 to PCIe adapter and plugged 7th GPU into this. However, I've got unstable mining when I add 7th GPU, actually I was able to use only 1 M.2 on this motherboard. I was even forced to use 1070 card on M.2 port because it seems that 1080ti was not recognized. Well, bios does not detect M.2 device at all . Recently, I decided that I update BIOS to 1.1 version that was successful but still unstable mining. Unstable mining means I get blue screen on Windows 10 with some VIDEO related problem (I do not remember error message) What is your experience with GPU in M.2 port on your motherboard? Could it be that 4 1080ti GPUs is too much for 1200W power source? Thanks for experience. In certains motherboards it's important to update the bios, if you can take a picture of blue screen, we can see what happening, also when the blue screen appears? What is your experience with GPU in M.2 port on your motherboard? I only try one motherboard and it work fine without a lot of problems. Could it be that 4 1080ti GPUs is too much for 1200W power source? I think you'll need more power, in max power this need arround of 1500w I think

Yes, you have a similar psu that I have, I can connect 2 risers and a hdd but I don't recomend to put 3 risers you can literally burn the connectors also you must to check the connectors regularly.

Hello there! Claymore can't mine on ethermine pool!!!
TH: Stratum - Cannot connect to eu1.ethermine.org:4444 ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...
I changed stratum servers to s1.ethermine.org:4444, asia1.ethermine.org:4444 or asia1.ethermine.org:14444
But it doesn't help
ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to us1.ethermine.org:4444 ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...
Who else does have this issue?
same. for recover i use claymore 10.4 until they fix it. Same problem at the same time in two rigs I have the same isues and I think that is a DNS problem, but I can not check it because I'm on private network that can not change the DNS , I make a proxy outside this network and I connected the proxy to the pool and now it's fine

Hi Guys & Girls!
In the next days i will be buying a new laptop. I have no experience in mining but i would like to hear your ideas about using my old laptop for mining. It is an N76V ASUS - Working memory 8GB, 1 TB HD, NVIDIA Card 740 M, Intel core I7, 3630 QM, 2,4 GHz
Is this enough for mining? Would it be any profitatable? We are in the Netherlands and pay quite some for electricity....
Look forward to hear your experiences/opinions!
Yes, you can mine with nicehash: https://miner.nicehash.com
