861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: full-time cryptocurrency on: February 09, 2018, 11:59:12 PM
Yes if you have no bills to pay and grow your own food Grin
It all depends on how successful you are at day trading. You can't rely on long term hodls if you need it to pay for your daily life otherwise you might be in for a spot of trouble during the next dump. The market always pumps and dumps, best to just bag some cheap alts now while you can
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 vs NEP5 on: February 09, 2018, 11:06:21 PM
In the longer term i believe nep5 will overtake erc20 as the technology and fees for NEO make it better for launching ICO and other coins. The only problem at the moment is the lack of choice for good wallets for NEO. Right now there is the official one, or NEON wallet which is good but we could do with a few more that offer nep5 support anyway.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the NEO Cryptocurrency Price Jumped More Than 50% on: February 08, 2018, 10:30:11 PM
Saying NEO is built just for the chinese is like saying ethereum is built for the russians. NEO is an increasingly popular coin because it has already launched successful ICOs on it's blockchain and more will follow. Developers won't have to learn solidity, so it is already ahead of ethereum in that sense. 2018 is the year of NEO, invest now while you can
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of newbies buying the wrong coin. Be carefull! on: February 08, 2018, 05:33:12 PM
Best to stick with the main coins i.e. ethereum and bitcoin. These alternatives are created for a few individuals to get rich, bitcoin fuji is going to be released soon and they will also claim to be the best bitcoin. These forks like bitcoin cash, bitcoin diamond, and endless other varieties are a waste of time. Newbies should stick with the herd
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Etherium? on: February 07, 2018, 11:07:19 PM
Always ethereum. Litecoin is just like bitcoin i.e a store of value with no real purpose. Ethereum has a useful purpose and it is these coins that will succeed. When bitcoin lightning is released and improvements are made, there won't be a need for litecoin. Also bitcoin cash is trying to take a slice of that pie so litecoin will reduce in popularity.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO. Yes or No?! on: February 07, 2018, 10:58:09 PM
It is crazy not to buy NEO right now. Just look at the price of ethereum as this is where NEO is heading. Too many people missed out when NEO was stuck at $40 and investors where sitting on the fence. Now it is over $100 and growing fast. As more ICOs are successfully delivered via NEO demand will increase just like the price
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The War has started. Crypto vs Giants on: February 06, 2018, 08:03:04 PM
They probably just banned it as they will bring out their own coin and they don't want competitors advertising on their system. Not many people take notice of these ads, most realise it's just fake news anyway. Go to twitter and telegram for crypto updates, facebook is just old tech now Cheesy
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is tron (TRX) a good investment for now? or risk? on: February 06, 2018, 07:57:09 PM
If you got in really early then you'd be really lucky, but now it has pumped already it is hard to say how much further it will go. The ATH is still a lot higher than it is now but there are a lot of tron whales on the market that can manipulate the prices. Invest with caution, this one is a tough call
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next big coin in your opinion? on: February 06, 2018, 06:13:39 PM
I go with the privacy coin. Im hoodling SpectreCoin XSPEC, VERGE VXG and DeepOnion. You heard the news about china starting to bann cryptocurrencies. So this coins will be huge because they totally anonymous. The biggest hope i have in DeepOnion. Because they have great devs, and a great community too which is very strong and loyal. Im also think about to buy some ENG Enigma Coins, its a privacy coin too.

Same here, go for the privacy coins like xspec and deeponion. Both of these can bypass government firewalls, not sure about the other coins. Other coins that support a decentralised exchange will also do well as more people switch to p2p trading. Exchanges will fall, but crypto will survive
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Today's news: Chinese gov restricts Crypto again... on: February 05, 2018, 10:48:23 PM
They can squeeze it as much as they want but the fact is that the people want it an one way they are going to get it. They tried to block google so people use a vpn. If they block exchanges, people will use decentralised exchanges. Even if they ban crypto coins people will invest and trade in privacy coins. It cannot be stopped!
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GREEN, GREEN, GREEN a great color on: February 05, 2018, 10:42:40 PM
Lots of uncertainties, different whales have a different floor. It can't get much lower than it is now, i just wish i had enough spare floating around to buy up all these cheap coins! Now it's a case of moving things around to invest in coins that i missed out on. It might go down a bit more, but i'm sure it will rise quickly
872  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: February 04, 2018, 03:38:47 PM
I don't think there is a problem with the merit system, but a problem with those giving them out. Perhaps it is not being clicked enough or users are still not aware of how things work. Not everyone logs in everyday, and if you were off for a few weeks then the announcement would have been missed completely. Give it some time and lets see how it pans out
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan and BofA ban cryptocurrency transactions for their credit cards on: February 04, 2018, 03:32:23 PM
I thought all the banks were going to use ripple Cheesy  Seriously though, this is not a big deal, there are many credit card companies out there who will take payments. It is going to be their loss as customers decide to switch banks. When they realise how much they have lost, it will probably be reversed as their competitors milk the rewards.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best NEO ICOS to invest in on: February 04, 2018, 01:58:25 PM
Lots of good icos on the NEO blockchain coming out. Ethereum is becoming too scammy right now with worthless projects. Only problem is that NEO itself is a good investment so who would want to offer up valuable NEO coins for an ICO which may or may not be better than NEO?
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple embraced by Santander on: February 04, 2018, 01:54:41 PM
"Ripple's xCurrent product does not use XRP, the company's native cryptocurrency."
XRP is centralized.

Exactly, this is just clickbait spreading fake news making n00b investors believe that xrp is actually going to be used by a bank. It is not, ripple is too volatile for banks to use. This is just centralised crypto that made some bankers extra money. Even in this dip - not worth buying, pick a proper altcoin instead
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MONEROV (hard fork Monero) on: February 04, 2018, 01:44:26 PM
2017 was the year of bitcoin forks, now 2018 is going to be monero forks  Cheesy
Can't see any reason for this other than developers trying to get some easy money. Unless they add some extra features on top or fixing a problem that monero was suffering from it will be difficult to get behind this project and invest in the new coins.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: February 02, 2018, 09:08:41 PM
It's a risk but it depends on how quickly you want your profits. If you need a quick return and high profits then you need to gamble on low market cap altcoins, but you never really know with these as they can just dump the next day. Ethereum is a lower risk slow gainer, you won't lose but have to wait a long time for big profits
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic! on: February 02, 2018, 09:03:30 PM
Try to stay calm and make the most out of a bad situation. Buying in these dips are the best thing that you can do to limit your losses. It will go back up later this year and surpass the all time high, it always does and always will. Get some cheap coins now or regret what could be the last opportunity to get in.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't mind losing $ 500 on: February 02, 2018, 06:03:44 PM
Don't go for coins that have already pumped, choose ones with a low market cap but has lots of potential i.e. not just a sh**coin with a fancy name. Examples of good coins are WAGERR and CRYPVISER, products are about to be released and they still haven't listed on a major exchange - but will be soon!
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bloody Markets on: February 01, 2018, 10:57:49 PM
It has gone down lower than i expected but still not worried. If you saw the speed at which it pumped late last year you will know that it will recover very quickly. If you don't have the right coins now in the right quantities, you will regret it when the pump begins. Restructure your portfolio while you have the chance!
