This year may have started weak going by the long ongoing correction from 2018 but that could end and market chnage direction back to upside.

This thread probably needs to be closed and new one for 2019 price predictions started. I think ETH may go back to its old highs of $1400 this year.

Some hot ICOs are doing pretty well even in this weak market. The bitorrent ICO on Binance today sold out in 15 minutes only so that is a good sign.

Binance is doing well and expanding into new markets and areas. No surprise that its coin BNB has held up much better than most other altcoins in this long correction.

Nobody knows the absolute bottom and whether it is already in or yet to come so cost average and add while prices are low with spare cash.

I have  illiquid tokens and some of those may be projects that are dead. Most of those are free tokens from bounties so do not care too much.

ETH seems going down towards $100 again. Let's hope it stays above $100 and bounces back from that price zone.

Long term future should be very bright. However, in the short term, we still have to live with this slow market correction.

In this market, the days of quick ICO gains are not there any more and won't be back until market is really bullish and rising up strongly. BTC is safe for long term.

Just check CMC top ranked coins and add some that you do not have or not enough. Those should be safe to hold long term.

Both are good coins and can be held for long term. TRON is cheap relative to ETH so easy to buy more tokens at this low price.

The fate and performance of ICOs is dependent on market conditions a lot. Once the next bull cycle gets fully underway, ICOs will do fine.

Dead coins are usually near the bottom rankings of CMC. That is why it is very risky to invest in coins with very low market caps and volumes.

No way to be sure for next five years but these are good projects in 100 to 200 ranks: Loom network, Veritaseum, Syscoin, Horizen, Funfair, Kin.

Ripple as its competitor Stellar are both good to hold. Many other top coins like EOS, LTC, XMR, WAVES and more are good holds.

In a bull market, everyone is a genius predicting higher and higher prices. Very few get it correct in a long bear market like 2018.

Even mining at home is not easy as coin difficulty and profitability keeps changing. Cloud mining is even less profitable and best avoided.

Both ETH and LTC are top ranked  great coins and should be good to buy and hold for the long term.

Most crypto coins are going to trend up and down with the overall market. Holding top ranked and good quality coins should be very profitable in the long term.

Monero and Zcash are probably the two top privacy coins. Both these coins have many forks too that are worth looking into.
