261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW FASTCOIN Logo, Please comment and or offer your suggestion... on: July 15, 2013, 05:40:16 AM
But, I have a team of graphic designers for that at work.. why would I need Photoshop at home...     Yeah, I know I should...  But I'd rather not fund Adobe for the few times I need it for my personal use.   Maybe when they start accepting crypto currency I'll buy there product or my personal use.  I'm just glad I sprouted some ideas.

Plenty of free alternatives out there if you really want something

Have set up a pool at:

http://diamondcoin.miningpool.co

Would appreciate if a few people could lend some hash to find the first block - to make sure everything is working ok.

Nice !

Alright,

It comes off as really plain and simple, similar to the current BTC generally accepted logo. If it is being use for anything other than a massive round object I think the top text needs to go. The weight is way too thin and non-legible at nearly any size.

The F should just be put dead center, it looks like it might be center but the text is throwing my eye off.

If you want to go even more simple you could remove some of the fast flare and just have two on the bottom.

You could spice it up with some minimal gradient, inner shadows, drop shadows, or something else.

Here is a more simplified version I made very quickly to show what I mean.

Nice,

Thank you for your input Ohiwastedmylif,

You put a interesting and simple adjustment to it, I think this is great that we can have this creative process bring out these creative suggestions.

Any chance you can enlarge your picture a bit, I like to compare it with the original Apple to Apple like.   Grin

/C

I totally just deleted the file without saving it sorry, haha.

It is more about the small size comparison anyways. If it will work for a favicon or a QT/Wallet icon those sort of things.

By the time the 120 blocks that reward 0 are done, everyone will have given up on this one lol took almost an hour to go from block 41 to block 56

Word is that it is actually 250 blocks...

I'm about to go to bed, but can someone confirm that I have this set up right?

I made a nuggets.conf in the roaming directory ( C:\Users\Morrison\AppData\Roaming\Nuggets ) as follows:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=pw
rpcallowip=192.168.1.1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=5587
addnode=69.85.86.195
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

And then set it up to run in CGMiner just as I have done the other time I solo mined (with CAPs)

It looks like it is running fine, but I don't know how to confirm it.

While mining close your QT, if you disconnect and are unable to continue mining you are working.

Also in debug you can type 'gethashespersec' to get your own hash rate I believe

I like it's been over an hour now and we are on block 42 - Looks like it was well worth the money you spent to have this coin made for you

Shouldn't we be at a higher block if it is 70 second target time?

3600/70 = 51 ?
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:40:56 AM
I am assuming these blocks are actually rewarding money but to him?

Are we doing the pre-mine work or are they really filled with nothing?

*NVM saw the code*

271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 02:51:32 AM
It is a good day when I can pull off getting a picture of Zoolander, and Chicken Nuggets on the offical QT.

272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coin Launch: Miner's Coin: Nuggets (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 02:35:08 AM
So this went from inception, to build, to launch in something like 48 hours?

Wtf?

Will the release finally come today/tonight?

Shocked

I've got 10 DMD for sale for 4 LTC.
Diatonic, looks like you are expert on blockchain explorer, can you add one for Diamond?

I tried, but Abe chokes on the DMD blockchain, even when I set it up like I did for Bottlecaps, Bitgem, Galaxycoin, etc. :/

Does that mean the coin is a PoS, and has PoS?

I wonder if it is still holding too much CAP information since it is forked from it, and causing issues that way.

Let Cryptsy know that you want this coin added
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Scrypt - Restart miner = Increased Block Finding on: July 14, 2013, 06:07:08 PM
I have mined about 10 different coins and have come to the conclusion that something may be wrong. When using CGMiner, a simple restart of the mining application seems to drastically increase the probability of finding a block. I have been testing this out with just a single 7950 GPU and more often than not it works. I can sit and mine on it for hours and find a few blocks, start & restart it a few times consecutively and hit a block in seconds.

I have not done any thorough detailed research but in general a fresh restart seems oddly beneficial.

If there is more information on it, it would seem beneficial to create a looping miner which starts and restarts it for short periods of time.

I have seen only one other person mention this, is there any other threads or information on it?

Have you guys realized that this is exactly what will happen anyway (with or without any intervention)? I think this bubble (and the bursting) is inevitable. The only question is how much damage will be inflicted on LTC.

And on the upside, if BTC will hit $150 as a result.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond DMD - new PoW/PoS coin | Super random blocks | Only 4.38 mil total on: July 14, 2013, 05:27:12 PM
so can anyooen help me with this issue i still can't get any connections at all with the nodes i was told to add
http://tinypic.com/r/2chatqw/5

Make sure when you add the conf file that you go into task manager and completely kill it. Then restart it and it should connect.

If not just delete and re-install. If you have 0 coins it won't matter.
