1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: June 20, 2019, 02:59:12 PM
So from "Become your own bank" we can now safely say "Become your own Fort-Nox".

Great plans for adoption. The public will most certainly rush to buy digital "gold" that does absolutely nothing.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 16, 2019, 06:48:25 PM
Who’s looking forward to Litecoin halving? Im curious how its gonna affect LTC price :O

https://coincodex.tv/videos/1589/will-litecoin-explode-before-its-halving
Halving mostly forces price moving up. However, the price of Litecoin have increased dramatically since its bottom back in late of 2018 (in both trading pairs, LTC/ BTC and LTC/ USD). Consequently, I think that it is time for Litecoin to witness its corrections, especially when all altcoins have fallen down due to bitcoin bull run. This fact is hard to accept for someone whom bought Litecoin at high, especially in LTC/ BTC pair. However, the positive thing is altcoin season will start some day, and Litecoin will have chance to rally with upcoming altcoin season.

When is the halving happens? I think price should grow more, like this was with BTC before and after halving in 2016. After halving we had a huge bullrun. So, probably we will have the same with LTC in this year.

You do know that there was an Ethereum fork that changed the miners rewards to 2/3? Do you recall anything like this happening? 600-700% rise in a few months? It only went up by a 10% until the fork.
BCH had a fork last November. It started pumping and pumping for 2 months and suddenly stopped a month before the fork. That was the BSV fork. It trapped people again for months as price fell almost 50% right before the fork. Do you think it is wise to hold and wait for the halvening? You will obviously get rekt.

I give you a safe financial advice so you won't be butthurt later -> SELL. It will go down to 20$ soon enough to rebuy if you still want to hold this coin for collector's value.
which coin you are talking about and its going to 20$ ? please clear that. if you are talking about litecoin then its price is over 130$ right now according to coin marketcap and i don't think that it will go that low. if you are talking about BSV then yes it could go under 20$ at any time.

We will have to wait and see then. I am talking about Litecoin not BSV which actual price should be 10cents.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: June 15, 2019, 11:36:36 PM
Of course, I will! Though I never stopped teaching people about the cryptocurrency but now it is harder than before. Recently I tried to advise some of my village people about bitcoin and Ethereum. But they thought it is a scam stock trading! Later they got interested by seeing my portfolio!
We need more people in the crypto, as last year lots of people left the crypto industry. This year, we need to make them believe that crypto is here to revolutionize in the finance sector, it is the real money which is better than gold!

Yes we need someone to dump our bags on his face. That's how you sound.
5  Other / Meta / Many new accounts posting - Are they real newbies or alts? on: June 15, 2019, 11:30:14 PM
I've noticed that almost all the latest posts in Bitcoin Discussion are made from new accounts. Some don't seem to be new to the space but have enough knowledge to consider them active for more than a year.
I don't want to doubt the people that genuinely ask questions but quite a few don't actually look legit.
My first guess is that a few old members decided to see how long it will take them to make merit, in which case I hope they actually understand how hard it is and how long it will take them to give up as I did.
Meanwhile hundreds perhaps thousands of members have at least 100 merit and are basically clueless and useless. You keep talking about qualiy posts, but you should realize what a failure this merit system is.
My second guess is that someone will start meriting these alts sooner or later so he can exploit the bounties with multiple accounts.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Development for Bitcoin to reduce CO2 footprint on: June 15, 2019, 11:02:02 PM
Industries are using pollution permits from governments, which means they buy rights of a certain amount of pollution.

Once the hash rate is determined to pass the threshold of creating environmental damage, companies as Bitmain will be asked to pay for this.

There are laws in every country that demand reduction of pollution and protection of the environment.

So to conclude, everything has a limit. If Bitcoin hash power becomes a problem that causes environmental damage, there are means, like the pollution permits, that won't allow it to happen.

And since you turned it into a POW argument, be certain that this would never happen.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my day job is making me depressed on: June 15, 2019, 10:28:10 PM
If you just entered the crypto space I have to warn you against trying to go allin to get rich quick. A lot of people made it but it wasn't easy.

I'd also advice you to focus on Bitcoin as for the forseeable future any altcoin gamble is exactly this. A gamble. You might as well try to win the lottery or beat the house on roulette.

Anyway I hope that this works out for you and you accomplish your goals.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: facebook bullshit stable coin, spread this as hard as you can... on: June 15, 2019, 10:18:18 PM
Facebook will use it's coin to distract the public from Bitcoin and it will try to become the dominant cryptocurrency.

I totally disagree with the people talking about adoption while it is totally the opposite. How it will help Bitcoin once everyone will have FB coins in their new digital wallets and will be able to buy anything they want instantly and safely? The adoption we were talking about will be zero if facebook coin succeeds.

You should understand that another technological war is unavoidable, this time it will be Facebook Coin vs Bitcoin.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: June 15, 2019, 10:09:13 PM
I'd never advice someone to enter bitcoin ever. Not the way you describe it.
I always stand against anyone that has no idea about Bitcoin and calling it a scam and always promote it by explaining the technology and positives. If I had to though, I'd tell him to wait for a dip.

Let me return the question: Would you advice a newbie to buy Apple stock now?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The World's First Self-Destructing Currency - BOMB on: June 11, 2019, 05:42:50 PM
Who is holding the 11.9% and 10.2% of the coin in the wallet? They together control around 22% of the entire coin that's pretty big.

Of course they hold a large amount. It is even bigger than 22%. This coin is a scam and anyone buying it is burning money. They even state that it has no purpose other than to hold and artificially raise it's price. Makes it no different than a ponzi scheme and it will explode like a bomb, leaving anyone invested in this burnt, once the developers dump their shitcoins.

Why should this coin raise in value? It does anything at all?

This is totally ridiculous project and the creators of this are scammers that are getting rich. All those that bought this garbage don't deserve to hold any money.
13  Economy / Reputation / Re: Report a Signature Campaign Spammer! on: June 10, 2019, 08:41:13 PM
As it stands now, their advertising campaign is doing more harm than good because it is associating their brand with harm to the community.
And that's the part I really don't get! Stake is a good site and trusted site. From what I've seen, it had a good image until this campaign came around. It just doesn't make sense.

You should know that there is no bad advertisement. Noone is not going to buy a product just because he hated a commercial. What happens is the opposite of what you think. The brand always gains .
The bounty manager made these rules in order to raise awareness of the brand of Stake.com and he succeeded. Everyone is talking about Stake.com from what I see.

It is obvioius that it has destroyed the other campaigns and you keep crying about spammers and asking staff members to delete and ban participants. Seriously what you should be asking is to stop all bounty activities on this forum if you only have pure intentions. This would actually raise the quality of posts and stop spam immediately. But this is exactly what 99/100 of you do for a liviing as it seems. So you made something like a union and make demands on what goes against your interests. This is exactly how this looks.

I didn't know wtf Stake.com was until bounty-hunters spammed the Stake avatar on every thread. I think at least 90% of people that use bitcointalk didn't know about them either. Most of you probably haven't studied how marketing works or what a marketing plan is. This bounty manager is probably 100 times more efficient than any of you, he obviously got paid way more than most of you will ever make and right now he is trolling you hard with this post because he did his job and doesn't care about you. And you still keep spamming bs and cry about the quality of his bounty. You basically have no idea how marketing works.

Now read this to be clear: I absolutely hate marketing and advertisment. I participated in a few bounties and I hated this promotional bullshit even more than I already did. But I have a fucking clue what this is about and you people behave like it is something that has rules (everyone has in mind different rules too), but it doesn't. Do you realize how clueless you look? Do you understand why this guy is trolling you like this? These old members from 2012-13 that always have an avatar are basically the ones that didn't hold their bitcoins since 2013, but sold them for peanuts, or gambled them on some shitty online casino and now think they can make this activity their main job for the next 20 years. Seriously these are your life targets? Being a bounty-hunter? Again, this looks like you are crying and asking to takeover this guy's campaign.

Do you think Stake.com didn't notice if it was succesful and that they want your opinion? I'm feeling this forum doesn't have much to offer. Everyone is writing something, having his own personal agenda in mind. So now you deserve the trolling from this guy that probably doesn't even care about bitcoin, or technology in general, or trading. He just did the job way better than you. Hating him only makes you look bad. You talk about quality but still you ask certain number of posts in all campaigns. And what I read from other campaign posts? Same useless posts.

So if the current staff of bitcointalk wants to have more quality it should actually ban all promotional activities as I hate reading what a paid avatar has to answer to me.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 10, 2019, 02:53:46 PM
I find current Litecoin price unsustainable and have to urge caution when buying at this level. The only reason that made price pump 500% is the halving which is two months away and all these people shilling like madmen.
If you don't want to cut your losses sell while still on profit. I don't know who exactly will buy this coin or why it exists besides speculation. I don't see comments covering anything else besides price so I guess it has no other use. Even when at 20$ Litecoin had little appeal. Just move into Bitcoin and spent your time on the real deal.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: June 10, 2019, 10:57:00 AM
I prefer not doing KYC for any reason. I have to measure everything and only if I find that it is in my interests I proceed with KYC. Otherwise I won't bother with any website to sent them my details and documents.
I was playing in Pokerstars from 2009-2015 and FTP until 2011. Never did KYC and never sent them my ID. Suddenly around 2017 they started asking for documentation. There were other places available so I left. The main reason though, was that I stopped profiting from their games. If the same good games from 2009-2011 were available then I would have sent them my ID and any information asked.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Poker Player in the World? on: June 10, 2019, 10:01:46 AM
Daniel Negreanu was known for being good at poker, Winner of six World Poker Series (WSOP) bracelets and two World Poker Tour (WPT) titles. The poker ranking service Global Poker Index recognized Daniel Negreanu as the best poker player of the year 2014. What if he plays poker in a btc-based gambling site, will he manage to defeat an algorithm and bring a lot of profit?

What do you mean by defeating the algorythm? Is there a certain skill that can help you know what card will be delt next? You don't play online poker with strategy to beat the RNG. This is ridiculous if someone has that approach.
What you are suggesting is that anyone, in order to profit online, must cheat the RNG algorythm otherwise he is doomed as every crypto poker room will cheat him.
If this is the case why you ask if he has any chance to profit? Obviously if he plays against a person that can cheat by looking into his cards or having rigged the RNG then noone can beat the cheater.
While gambling with poker online you need to put a lot of trust to the party and the staff involved that provide the game.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Wall Street really interested in Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2019, 07:54:35 PM
They had a big party on Wall Street on CMA futures first day  in 2017. Next month they all went short.
Most rational investors and traders outside CME did the same thing. People blamed the CME for dragging the price down but it was just the bubble that popped. It also happened before when there weren't even futures.

The interesting part however is the timing. Bitcoin has always been an extremely poor performer in the first couple of months of each year (look up the charts and you'll see what I mean), so they may have launched intentionally in December of 2017.

If you also add that people bought the rumor and would very likely sell the news, then you know that the odds of a correction to happen were extremely high. Poor people who bought the $20k peak. Undecided

So you agree that CME futures had a part to play in all this or not? I don't quite understand from this answer. I didn't say it was the main reason although usually when futures land on any market, this is already a bubble ready to pop. So I guess your point is logically correct, if I fully understand it. I have been looking the charts for several hours, every day, for more than 3 years. Although I don't see how December as a month has something to do with price or charting. I've seen trends happening in certain months for a certain reason but I don't see a December case. If you go back to 2011-12 it invalidades this. You need way more than two-three years to make this claim. What you are talking happened only in 2013 and 2017. Perhaps it will happen in 2021 again and next bubble will pop Jan 2022. This wouldn't prove a case either.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be legally accepted in every country in the next 10 years? on: June 09, 2019, 08:32:52 AM
Big corporations and banks are already trying to find how to make money out of this. They already how useful Bitcoin is, but they still haven't decided how to exploit as much money as possible.

There are are attempts to create their own digital version of a cryptocurrenty, while trying really hard to discredit Bitcoin.
This is the main strategy right now with Facebook and JP Morgan in the front of the race.

Every government, bank and corporation is calling blockchain a great technological advancement, but at the same time they bash Bitcoin and anything that has to do with it.
It is most clear that they would be happy to see Bitcoin fail as they can't make the most out of it, even with trading desks or exchanges they recently bought.

Banks and governments will keep Bitcoin on the grey zone for at least the next 5-10 years, until they either defeat it by creating something new that will be publicly accepted, or accept defeat and accept Bitcoin as a universal currency.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 09, 2019, 08:20:44 AM
Any country that bans Bitcoin is moving backwards. Instead the countries that already embraced Bitcoin and the blockchain technology seem to have a more innovative and brighter future as a whole.
Bitcoin won't be "junk/trash" as you call it. Instead it will be more powerful and more useful.

The countries that block access to it and ban it with legislation, are the ones that will be left behind in the technological sector.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin have FUNDAMENTALS?!?! on: June 08, 2019, 11:15:51 AM
Interesting analysis. Although mining is only one factor which you should take into consideration when figuring out trend changes.
When price is too low to be profitable miners quit, close their businesses and dificulty falls making it easier and cheaper to mine. This is the main fundamental. So this has to do mostly with adoption. Miners think they dictate the prices but they can't be more wrong. Price is about supply/demand. Supply is finite with Bitcoin. We can only have 21m and this is a critical factor that makes it's price rise astronomically. The other factor is adoption (demand). Seeing how there is no massive adoption, as it was happening at the same month 2 years ago, I can only see price going down for the time being.
