41  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [LEGAL] 30gh/s MinerD Botnet ? on: September 29, 2013, 06:38:49 AM
surebet pretty much said everything that had to be said, Don't do it. It's a waste of time and power. There's little profit to be made anyways with 10 GH anyways. That's less then 5$ a day, I'm pretty sure you can earn more then that just begging on campus.
42  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Running one USB Block Erupter with no Fan? on: September 21, 2013, 08:10:29 AM
While you CAN run it without a fan doesn't mean you SHOULDN'T, USB fans are dirt cheap and it's pretty easy to make your own from old leftover case fans and old USB cords. I'd like my hardware to last as long as it can.

I do not understand this 'hobby' deal , I mean this is a business , this is not a hobby , if you are rich enough to consider this a hobby.
Compared to other hobbies this is quite cheap, Model Train hobbists spend THOUSANDS of dollars on set that "never ROI" Hell some people spend thousands of dollars for little lead figurines for a dice game of chance.

It's only around ~$25 for a single BE now including shipping, I think it's a perfectly reasonable hobby considering what others call "Hobbies"

3.1.4 seems stable, any reason why 3.2.0/1 is so fickle on my PC now? When I first got it it it was stable enough...Odd.

Yep, same setup.
Can you try 3.1.4 on the same PC that 3.2.0 has the issue on?
I'll try that out, but I'll give an update in about an hour.

Yep, same setup.

Nope, typo'd slightly on the post. Everything runs fine on the OTHER PC with 3.1.4.

This keep happening to me on this PC, I'm on 3.2.1. Everything runs fine on my second PC with 3.1.4.

Any idea what might be wrong?
49  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 14, 2013, 10:14:58 AM
I got my refund, sadly my Blockchain got corrupted so I have to wait to transfer my bitcoins back to my normal wallet. SB while a bit slow on giving out the refunds and not giving out FULL refunds did give them out. I am so glad I'm free of Yifu now. I'll never deal with him again if I can help it.
50  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Not enough hash rate with my USB block erupters. Power problem or Pool problem? on: September 13, 2013, 08:45:50 AM
2.5A is only enough to power 5 BE's, If you want to run the rest your going to need another HUB.
51  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting OpenWRT working on WL-520gU on: September 11, 2013, 08:57:03 PM
Well I've got it setup now so far that it connects to my router and shows up in the clients, but now I've got issues SSH'ing into the router now..
ARGH! When I thought I got it figured out another issue shows up  Angry
52  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BPMC Launch BF1 USB miner - probably the fastest USB miner in the World on: September 11, 2013, 08:08:10 PM
I think I'll wait till October when Bitfury chips are more cheaper, I'm glad to see the product is finished and selling now.
53  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 10, 2013, 11:16:10 PM
I just want a freaking refund, I've just got chips and I'm pretty sure there's 9990 other chip owners who would like the same..I just wanna wash my hands clean of Yifu at this point as I'm sure many others do.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE  Angry
54  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting OpenWRT working on WL-520gU on: September 10, 2013, 11:12:08 PM
Honestly, if I had the time and the know how I'd compile the drivers on for the ASUSWRT-Merlin Repo myself...I'm pretty sure they have everything but the proper CP210x drivers. BE shows up as a GSM modem of all things..
55  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting OpenWRT working on WL-520gU on: September 10, 2013, 09:47:16 PM
I know about the finky USB issues,  All have to do with USB 2.0 and far as I know the BE's use 1.0 or 1.1.
Also OpenWRT isn't your standard firmware install, It's more like a very basic generic installer that acts like Linux for routers. It doesn't have a WebUI enabled by default. Which is fine by me and I can navigate via CLI decently.
I WOULD use ddwrt if it was supported by BFGMiner(which it never will the way i look at it), I've seen the thread about getting CGminer working with dd-wrt but like you said the drivers are iffy on dd-wrt and I did try that a while ago with no success or much help.

All I really need is just a text file of the working wireless or network config or both for OpenWRT that isn't outdated by 2 years or more.

I'd plunk these on my N16 if they supported it over at the Repo I use but they choose not too for ASUSWRT-Merlin and I rather not flash OpenWRT as I have a hard enough time figuring it out on my WL-520gU.
56  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Promo USB Miners .13 btc each or less for past SilentSonicBoom Customers on: September 10, 2013, 12:03:52 AM
Eeeesh, these things keep cheaper and cheaper. Too bad I'm done getting BE's. I'm stuck with mine for a while.
57  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [250'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: September 08, 2013, 11:16:56 PM
Well I recently passed the 2GH mark a few days ago and was wondering, is it worth bothering changing to difficulty 2 if bandwidth isn't an issue? I rather keep difficulty 1 for the bigger variance.
58  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Linux noob needs help with Rpi & cgminer on: September 08, 2013, 11:02:08 PM
I'd try Arch, I heard it has decent support for rPi and it's a pretty stable distro. Also I think the proper command is "./cgminer -o stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u xxxxxx - p xxxxxx" while in the cgminer folder.
59  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Bounty .05BTC] Little Single BFL ASic miner. Not getting crap for coins on: September 08, 2013, 10:57:12 PM
I'd run at Eligius with that much hashrate and if you plan on mining for a long time, if the variance with luck bothers you then you can eat the 3% fee and join BTCGuild with PPLNS. Like others have said, there isn't much you can do with the Single outside of flashing it. It might help if you installed some better fans or got a AC, At least it will make the hardware last longer.
60  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.4.2 on: September 08, 2013, 07:13:57 PM
When you use zadig, you have to change the driver for all of the devices, not just one, if you have them all plugged in.  The trick I believe around this is to unplug all of them instead of one, use zadig to change the driver, and then when you plug in the rest of the devices they will automatically attached to the winusb and thus cgminer will see them.
I assume you mean unplug them all BUT one, I'll try that if i ever switch back to my PC. Thanks for the help. Also thanks techman05 for the software tip, Not sure if I need it but sure looks handy to have around.
