481  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone interested in an open-air "case" for Klondike K-16 boards? on: July 26, 2013, 04:10:42 AM
I am so buying a case from Spotswood.  I need to house eighteen K16's, one BitBurnerX (10 chip board), and one BitBurnserXX.  According to the designs on his site, it would also be very easily integrateable with the guts of my GPU rig, yet still house two power supplies.  His modular casing options are very fairly/competitively priced.
482  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [For Sale] BitBurnerXX and BitBurnerX Assembled and Shipped [OPEN] on: July 25, 2013, 05:07:19 AM
PM sent. Have BTC ready to buy. Just have a couple questions for you.
483  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2013, 04:40:33 PM
Are girls / women interested in Bitcoin ?
Your opinion ?

My girlfriend likes buying random cheap little impulse buys off the internet (etzy and wanelo).  So I gave her two icarus chips after I sold the rest of mine on this forum.  She initially didn't think too fondly of me giving her bitcoin mining equipment (as a no reason type gift) but I set up her wallet address and hooked them up into her old desktop (that is only being used as a LAN printing server).  It already had an old 7770 of mine in there.

cgminer loads on boot and connects to bitminter on boot.

So now she can buy small things from bitmit or do a little online gambling for fun.

It still doesn't make up for all the time I spend on this forum though haha.  At least I got her past the "This whole thing you're doing has to be illegal" stage

She's cool though, I love her. And she put up with a lot of heat and fans in the house quite awhile.  Hopefully she'll mind the Klondike boards a lot less.

I know there's a bunch of people selling GFX cards right now. So I'll just add myself to the list.  Make me an offer on one or all in BTC, US Dollars, other goods, USB miners, FPGA, maybe a few asic chips even haha  Cheesy

If I see an offer or trade I'm satisfied with, the cards are yours.  I've used them for about 6 months.  Just bought them to replace my previous cards.  Now I think I'll fill my server rack case with klondike boards here very soon.

Pictures in the morning when I'm not so tired.

489  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin mining rig security on: July 14, 2013, 04:58:07 PM
Hello community, I am working often and I am planning about buying an avalon. I have also few mining rig GPU, I would like to protect them in case of a burglary with any remote device is there anything better than a GPS? Any suggestion? Thanks you

I have all my equipment in a windowless (but ventilated) spare room in my house.

I have a reverse facing digital combination deadbolt installed.

With a webcam pointed out at the door uploading video feed to a secure webserver.

If you're looking for GPS I recommend this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GPS-Vehicle-Tracker-GPS-GSM-SMS-GPRS-Vehicle-Intelligent-Positioning-Terminal-/400422326178?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item5d3b07cfa2

You have to buy a cheap prepaid SIM card and keep service active on it, it triangulates positioning via GPS sattelite and cell tower.

Plug that little sucker into a molex, tuck it away slyly in your case. And no one would know the difference.

There's always your homeowners insurance too.  Just save the paperwork that came along with buying your equipment.  That's why even if I buy equipment using BTC.  I save the receipts from when I buy the BTC.
490  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] PICs for Klondike miners on: July 10, 2013, 08:00:58 PM
In anticipation of there being shortages, I bought a mix of 256 PIC16LF1459-I/SS and PIC16LF1459-E/SS to put into miners. At present, I have only had 99 K16s ordered from my assembly service. I'm now looking to offload the remainder of my PICs.

At present, I have 157 of the PICs available, with 90 in hand and ready for immediate shipping. I'm looking to sell them for $2 apiece, to be transferred via Bitcoin. JohnK has my personal information and is doing identity escrow for my assembly service. I'm willing to extend that escrow protection out to this, since it's an extension of what I'm doing with Stumptown Miners.

Let me know if you're interested, or if you have any questions.

Are these ASIC chips? What mhash do they run at each?  Are they compatible on a board with avalon chips or on a klondike board?

PM or email dddbtc@lavabit.com

Copied from a PM. Non-working JPEG link.

Thanks for being a sketchy asshole, ceasing all contact after I said I was unwilling to continue without escrow and stealing my 0.69BTC deposit.  Don't buy anything from this user. Scammer.

Fool me once... shame on me I guess.

Never heard of this type of mining hardware, I am currently interesting and shopping for hardware. Could you provide me more information and specifications and I might be interested in making an offer. I have read about the klondike project, are they these type of units? If so, what is their hashrate?
497  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 30 Gh/s BFL Little Single Preorder (04-02-13) on: July 01, 2013, 03:37:43 AM
The wont ship early july for you. you have a late order.

I guess that's why they told me late July...

I am still buying this preorder, but does anyone know approximately how far into the preorder queue BFL actually is? I wonder if the late july ship date they told you is accurate. I hope this butterfly isn't in its cocoon for another six months haha
