I dont understand why cloud hashing had to be refunded. I mean the batch was bought already. How can they expect that the money can flow back? Or did terrahash sign a contract that allowed this?
Anyway... its poor morale of cloud hashing to act this way.

Cloudhashing is a business, a business that has overhead, which includes employees, electricity, data center etc so its not as easy as setting up a rig in your house.

That business model is also tied to difficulty of mining etc. so the delivery of equipment by a certain date is critical to success.

I am just speculating that Terrahash could have salvaged that deal had they agreed to reduce their profit margin. Then they would have made a little less money but also been able to advertise they were supplying Cloudhashing.

Frankly, on another topic they would have been better served to advertise that they had the relationship with CH as this would have given them a ton of credibility.

ASIC mining companies (all of them) suffer from the lack of marketing expertise.

terrahash did not need cloudhash to sell all the asics they had orderred
terrahash does not need more orders to keep themselves busier than they want to be
if terrahash finishes on time they will be the fastest avalon preassemble to market
terrahash is also one of the cheapest preassembled klondike provider

Terrahash did not need more credibility..

I think these will be great to give to friends as gifts, and to open up the bitcoin community, though ill wait till they drop in price.
I hope the k1 will be instrumental in getting more people into bitcoins..  and if they do have any RoI even better

Emmanuel Abiodun (Cloudhashing operator) = SCAMMER

that sums up my feelings on the matter nicely
2124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TerraHash Order Queue and info on: June 20, 2013, 04:56:18 AM
hmm.. i was wonderring about that,
i had my order number by 901 prolly faster and i was still 507
how did people fill there carts with 5 different orders faster than that
2125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 20, 2013, 02:20:07 AM
besides its seems pretty obvious what actually happenned.
Terrahash had a big customer that they bought the chips for, but when there actual completion day lagged a month the buyer backed out, and terrahash needed new buyers fast..  So here we are filling in the early 20000 or maybe 10000 chip order... the rest of the people who lend up in the second batch are the new big investers that will help terrahash keep things going in the future.

Am I mad  not really, im right on the verge of getting 256 g/h that i probably wouldnt have even been able to order until after the chips came in.  If I dont get in the first group i may or may not sit around hoping that things will go smoothly.

but remember it was only 2 weeks ago that the thought of having a prebuilt klondike 16 was still a pipedream.

I do think that terrahash should remove all those doubledipping capitalists who had no faith in terrahash to start, and havent dropped a dime of there own cash and allow the buyers who are sponsering the next chip buy to be bumped up the line.

on another note remember that if you are out there paying a premium for someone elses quick fingers, remember the reason they are selling is that they do not believe that holding onto there product will make them money, and that before the hype of sales nyumbers happenned you didnt believe in terrahash enough to get on the comp at 9 am.
2126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon still taking orders for chips? on: June 20, 2013, 02:02:18 AM
We are trying to place an order for additional 20,000 chips and instead of the payment page, we are being redirected to http://store.avalon-asics.com/null.

When was the last time anyone successfully placed an order?

though this is awful news for all the second batch orders if avalon has stopped taking orders, it does show a certain level of upfront honesty from terrahash that i have not seen in any of the other asic sellers
2127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 19, 2013, 10:47:14 PM
We have cancelled all PayPal/BTC orders that were placed up to 8 hours ago and have not been paid yet. For the orders with Bank Transfer, we will wait till Friday evening, and cancel all the orders that have not been paid till then.

Well done, and thank you for the update.

Im wonderring if this means that you can still make a bank transfer on friday, or that any bank transfers not cleared by friday will be cancelled

to me
We can't be sure right now, as we are still waiting for the wire transfers to come in (which can take up to 3 business days, dependingupon where they originated). Once all the wires come in, we will have a better estimate as to when we can ship your order.

this is in reply to my 256 chips           #507

2139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will people ever get their investment back on USB Erupter ? on: June 19, 2013, 12:25:22 AM
While I won't speculate either way on whether or not these are a good buy, pointing to the likely (much) higher future difficulty is only half of the equation.

A lot of people have already made an absolute killing on bitcoin by mining when others told them they were stupid because it wasn't profitable. A few years ago, when bitcoins cost a couple pennies each, people would run the same numbers and call those that chose to mine incapable of doing basic math.

Don't forget that a lot of people are mining today based on their own assumptions about the future price of cryptocurrency. Sure, the math doesn't look great based on ~$100 per BTC, but what is you assume bitcoin goes mainstream and hits $1000/BTC in a few years? There will only ever be 21 million coins, and it bitcoin becomes say, the internet currency of choice, then $1000 per BTC is quite a low estimate.

that would be fine if the usb miners were purchased in dollars
2140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will people ever get their investment back on USB Erupter ? on: June 19, 2013, 12:23:03 AM
At this point i would say that if you are paying more than 300% of avalon chip costs for some hashing hardware, you probably wont be making any sizable increases in your bitcoin wallet.

on an up note, it seems that terrahash and a few others may be on the level.....   though this is still a may, well see if there klondike boards ever get up and running.

also at the rate of purchase this morning it may be to late to make money at 15 dollars per avalon chip at 300 mh/s soon
