1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of BTC will drop to 4000 dollars? on: June 23, 2018, 05:43:38 PM
I still believe most of the resistance around $6000 will hold, I could be wrong in this because really there is no way of saying which way bitcoin will go from here. It may go up or down. I do think even if it goes down I don't think it will reach as low as $4000.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to calculate any coin's potential with Coin Market Cap ? on: June 21, 2018, 12:32:49 PM
You cannot calculate potential marketcap because it cannot be accurately defined. You have to estimate a coins potential and that's the best you can do. To do this you should consider the marketcap of its competitors as well as the size of the market it is operating in.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC - ICO, altcoins and McAfee on: June 21, 2018, 12:31:07 PM
Just because they are considered as securities that does not mean that they cannot be within the confides of the law. It just means that they have to interact in a certain way with persons from the US, mostly only allowing registered people to participate.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market talk, tips on trading, news insights, and risk management on: June 20, 2018, 12:06:14 PM
Going to check this out when I'm travelling and have some spare time to listen away. Personally I really like podcasts over videos a lot of the time because they're easier when multi-tasking. I get annoyed with many that are full of fluff and nonsense chat so straight market talk would be great.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: June 20, 2018, 12:04:37 PM
There is no right answer. For some day trading is better, for others HODL is better. Personally I like to day trade mostly because I have the spare time and I have thus far been able to do better than the hodl strategy. For those with less time HODL is better.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 20 000$ tomorrow? on: June 16, 2018, 09:45:21 AM
Whales can't pump it to 20,000 alone, they'll start the ball rolling and then let the small fish push the price up. They'll also offer support whenever theres some downward pressure on the price. But 20k won't happen overnight.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basis TA must learn for newbies on: June 16, 2018, 09:42:43 AM
All the people that just do not want ot learn TA, are the first ones who are gonna lose all their money because of this, it is more than a MUST if you are a new trader

I disagree it's a must and I also disagree that it guarantees success but it really helps people to have a better chance of succeeding with their trades. For the little time and effort it takes to learn it's really worthwhile doing.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low market makes ICOs cheaper on: June 15, 2018, 02:17:52 PM
I will never invest in ICO again, no matter how cheap he is, because the two ICOs I invested in February have disappeared!
this is your mistake , you have to do research before investing in any ICO

ICOs are little risky investment so this is cheaper in current scenario but peoples are already panic to invest in Bitcoin and altcoin so this is not a good time in ICO investment. This year many good ICOs are enter into the market so we should plan to invest in good project this will make big profit in soon.

its not risky if you buy now and sell in year 2021 then gurented profit but you have to wait and have lots of spare money in your hand.

Right, people seem to think that because their ICO wasn't a success that all ICOs are a failure, there are many that do well, you just need to get better at picking the best ones, if you can't do that then don't invest in ICOs.

Although I do disagree slightly in it being a guaranteed profit it's really likely that those with the patience to wait a few years will see really good returns.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Think Recent Hacking Incidents? on: June 15, 2018, 02:15:21 PM
I don't think that these hacks are entirely the reason behind the fall in the price of bitcoin but they definitely contribute. I think mostly they hold back the price because they scare investors from investing in to cryptocurrencies for fear of being on the end of one of these such hacks. Once security and regulation is stricter than it is currently some of these investors may feel safe to enter the market.
I agree with what you are saying. Hackers stealing and selling Ethereum has definitely led to a drop in the value of Ethereum which has affected the entire market directly, but this is simply one of the reasons why Bitcoin is falling in value. The other major reasons include the prolonged bear market this year which is leading people to think that 2018 is the reverse of 2017 scaring off many investors and forcing current investors to cash out their profits as quickly as possible. The bear market will not continue indefinitely and I am expecting a reversal by August this year.

There have been many tokens and hacks it's just not reasonable to think they're entirely the reason. The amounts alone aren't close to being enough to put such a dent in the market given that the market cap is so high. They probably don't force many people in to selling because most in crypto know the risks, it's just they put off others.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low market makes ICOs cheaper on: June 13, 2018, 01:44:13 PM
The people who complain are the ones who have already bought their coins and expected a straight shot up. This doesn't happen with any coins, there are always road bumps along the way. Ideally as someone invested in a project you can sell the highs and buy the lows to grow your holding but if not you can always look to low prices to try and invest more fiat, even if only for a short while before you sell some again at a high price.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts and forecast for cryptocurrency this year on: February 23, 2018, 04:24:31 PM

This years forecast by market analyst makes last year crypto market look like a fart in a hurrican. I've heard estimates of 1.5 to 2.5 Trillion once institutions money come in. Nobody wants to make the first move understandably.  They risk legitimizing crypto and could get wrecked. They are used to huge investments vehicles like ships. Bitcoin and crypto are like a race cars and speed boats. Wild and unruly. Which ever institution comes down first will go down in history as the icebreaker between blockchain and old blue chip world. Each year more money will pile in until 2028 when banks will all have their own blockchain currency. They will push back to late trying to hold on to money, email hasn't deleted the postal service it's just changed into a parcel service. I feel this technology hasn't been understood in its implications. Money is a thousand year old technology and tomorrow it will only be cryptographic cash. We just don't realise this is it. The first e-mailers were coders. Today your grandfather is emailing something across the world in a second. People said it would never replace the postal service.  The TV was a 2 inch black and white screen.  They said it would never replace radio. Crypto is geeky and technical it will never replace money. Sounds familiar to anyone😎

I think that a lot of institutions actually invested in November/December and that largely contributed to the big price increases we saw then. There are figures about the growth of cryptocurrency hedgefunds that support this.

You are right about the potential of crypto to 'replace' fiat and lead fiat to be used in a completely different way.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How important are ICO advisors? on: February 23, 2018, 04:21:31 PM
Personally I don't really care too much. Let's take Kyber as an example. They have Vitalik as an advisor which bought them a lot of hype in the ICO stage but since then you really wouldn't have any idea that he was an advisor. Ultimately a project will be evaluated on the final release and an advisor won't have too much say or input in to this, they might help navigate a few situations but won't make a bad project in to a good one.

This is what I mean when I spoke before, advisors can be used to hide a company (or in this case, a coins) failure at having any value at all. So if the coin in question is simply stacking advisors, it'd be fair to notice that they might just not have anything going on and might screw you due to them not having a working product and just wanting the hype to make a couple bucks.

Don't put all your trust and faith in a couple peoples faces, names, and titles. It could all be a sham anyway.

Within reason yes, I think mostly you need to consider the advisors and their reputation, I don't think the example I gave is in line with what you thought but there are definitely some 'advisors' who will just back a project for their own gain instead of because they actually believe in it.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your trading plan? on: February 22, 2018, 05:32:11 PM
What are the strategies that you use for take more profit whether you are in short term trading or long term trading ?

Both short term and long term I have pre-defined plans and guidelines. I always have a target profit and unless the situation changes dramatically I will stick to it. Having a plan in mind before you make trades allows you to effectively remove emotion from the situation.

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cliff High and McAfee - Do you take their predictions seriously? on: February 22, 2018, 05:27:04 PM
Both Cliff High and McAfee have made bold claims about Bitcoin's future.  McAfee recently claimed that Bitcoin would reach a million by 2020.  Do you take these predictions seriously?

Before you take them serious and then alter your positions because of that, then you need to ask yourself the question, who will bear the brunt of whatever will happen then you go ahead. Its no doubt that these people have a lot of followers and express optimism in what they believe in. Just a like politicians will stand in rallies to claim the amount of landslide victory their parties would make in the forth coming election, they forget that the winning party is actually decided by the population who will cast their votes. They have only expressed their opinions, and the possibility of that happening is not a function of opinions but factors that are even beyond what they can control. If factors work in their favor, and their prediction came to pass, then they are seers if otherwise, its just mere predictions not supported by reality.

There is a really important point in this message. And that is that the price can go to any level as long as there is enough support/demand from the general public. If the price does reach 1 million it won't be because McAfee said it could, it will be because enough people decided to assign a 'worth' to it that was 1 million or greater.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovery on: February 22, 2018, 05:23:13 PM
Good afternoon! Friends, do you think bitcoin has recovered and will it go up in March?

It's not entirely recovered, there's still a long way to go for that. It's dipped 10-15% the last day or so but that's probably just because it was facing a lot of resistance at 12k. The same sort of thing happened with 8, 9 and 10k but each time it returned to break the resistance.

We haven't broken $12K yet and its looks like a big wall in front of us. We will reach as high as $117xx and then it will goes and dip again. I have noticed this pattern in the last couple of days, but I do hope that it will be finally surpass at the end of the month.  So its going to be a tough.

So its really hard to say what will be the price but eventually we can catch up and settled around March. Maybe we could get around the are of $12K-$15K.

It's the same pattern I noticed, but 12k has a lot more resistance than the previous levels did. I think after the price failed to break 12k for a few days this brought back some uncertainty and reduced confidence in bitcoin and the recovery. That's why the bears have been able to take over a little the last day and we can see the price is under 10k. There are very few support levels of any real significance which is tricky. 9.5k looks like a strong support but after that it will be about 8k. Let's wait and see. The good thing is that next time the price does recover to around 12k (be it in a few days or a few weeks) the resistance will surely fall because it will be after finding a new bottom and a level of support. Also there will be less people willing to sell as many will have bought recently.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sharpe, next easy x100 ! 4 million capitalization ! on: February 21, 2018, 05:52:18 PM
I participated in Sharpe bounty campaign, if only for a short term. It really looks like a great project with a lot of potential. I do feel like 100x is maybe a bit too big of an ask but it's nice to see people so bullish on it. The low market cap definitely makes it an interesting prospect as does the monthly payout.

Never say never but there is a long way to go that’s true. I really don’t know why it’s still trading roughly at ico prices

The ICO wasn't really hyped and there's not a huge amount of interest in the project just yet. Let's be patient and let the dev's do their work. One that's completed I'm sure a lot of the marketing will be done for them as the word spreads.

The team is doing a great job, I’m confident that they will have success.

You and me both. Hype will come once everything is released and ready. Let's hope everything can go according to plan and the roadmap can be delivered upon. With that the price will increase, while I said I don't think it will go to 100x I still have high hopes for this.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real Market Capitalization on: February 20, 2018, 06:27:41 PM
You want to track the price of each of the however many millions of bitcoins when it was last traded?? There's no way to do this, you cannot track an individual bitcoin and even if you could you wouldn't be able to find information on what price it was last traded at.
