Are people really using BCH . It's Market value has drop almost 85% from it's all-time high value. So many BCH but about 60% of all is controlled by only 67 wallets .
The payments have also slumped to $3.7 million in May from a high of $10.5 million in March. Bitcoin payments totaled $60 million in May, down from a peak of $412 million in September.
What are your thoughts on BCH's future .

Why do signature campaigns after the merit system was introduced hardly ( actually totally ? ) Ignore jr. members ? I know before the merit system there were plenty of campaigns that recruited jr . members , so why not now ?
There are still some jr members capable of posting good constructive posts but are not getting any merits , so please consider this fact and recruit juniors as well .

There is no way that I see any of the altcoins overtaking bitcoin even the ones with really good project. Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency in the market already gives the coin bragging rights and to maintain relevance through all of the years in the midst of thousands of coins has helped it to solidify its place as the best coin in the market and no one can replace it.
Yes absolutely , currently there's no Altcoin that could be considered competitive to Bitcoin . Bitcoin is now almost accounts for more than half of the total crypto currencies in the world , In the observable future I can't bet on any Altcoin to come even near as Bitcoin.

I got into the bitcoin again last year after losing all my 4.5 bitcoins to ponzi schemes early last year. I bought in bitcoin again at $20k. Now bitcoin is $6k+. I'm regretting my actions. 4.5 Bitcoins !!! I feel the pain just reading this . First of all , no time in the year but you had to buy Bitcoin at its peak value . Why ? Let me remind you that last year after Bitcoin first hit it's 1000$ mark it was predicted that it's gonna hike ridiculously , You could have bought at that time and easily made good money . Just be careful next time buddy .

Actually yes, they are dying . Even though Bitcoins is not at its best since the beginning of the year recent news has confirmed that NOW 54% of all the crypto currencies in the world is Bitcoin , which pretty much explains the story of Altcoins doesn't it? .
Altcoins are dying also because of too much production and many ICOs burn some of their coins ( for its good only) . This may also be a reason for its decline.

Xapo president Ted Rogers suggested cryptocurrency markets could be facing a “mass extinction event” as Bitcoin’s fresh downturn drags altcoins ever lower.
Considering this he also tweeted a few days ago this could be in the midst of extinction-level event for crptoassests. Around 90% of the market can disappear in this process ( maybe) . Ethereum is also at all time low since October 2017 stumbling at around 250$s .
This drop can prove to be good for Bitcoin buyers .

As a atheist myself I would like to give my opinion on this , see I personally don't hate any religion or any religious practice just because I'm an atheist. My family and their ancestors are all Hindus and it's hard to find a person from a Hindu family that claims to be atheist. I do , because I never had any interest in the practices and believes , I don't know the reason myself. I think if there was no religion in this world , it would have been much more peaceful considering how many religious conflicts take place everywhere.
Again I don't hate any religion, hope this doesn't backfire.

It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins, It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.
Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.

This week has been a tough one for cryptocurrencies as the total market capitalization dropped to $228 billion, which is roughly 24% down from the July 27 high of $300 billion and significantly removed from the $830 billion market cap of December .
This also indicates that the price is fluctuating less for the past week only , So I think that Bitcoin now is pretty buyable but at your own risk . Hold your coins if you already have any , we might see some hike possiblity in a couple of months .

Hi all! I find it highly annoying that this merit system is still around. It is supose to be stimulating people to make good quality posts or topics, but i doesnt seems to work this way. I see alot of people selling there merit to whoever wants it, is this even legit? It means people with multiple accounts can dominate bitcointalk, earn the most bounty rewards( multiple with more accounts) and can give merrit out to themselves and can get alot of bounty stakes, while other who do there best arent even able to join because they cant reach member status! Even more annoying is the fact that members and above( not all of you ) just post crappy posts all over the place, and keep spamming away with no consequences. Its just sick, like in the real world, the rich get richer, its insane do something about it. Greetings! Yes absolutely , it's just impossible to earn with just constructive posts . Believe me I don't think that's how this system works , people like us are not getting noticed and people who already have merits keep increasing their count , No offense to Senior users why don't newbies and Juniors with good quality posts aren't getting what they deserve. I'm not totally against this system but I think it needs correction.

Ethereum has already hit 200$ , also it's currently sitting at around 300$ . I think you are expecting quite low of Ethereum , It's rise is has been incredibly good this 6 months , remember when it almost hit 1500$ in January this year . Maybe Bitcoins rise could help it a bit .
So I think we can easily expect around or more than a 1k$ by a couple of months.

I don't think this will happen, see Bitcoin still has the power to move the crypto market, and that is not owned by ethereum. even ethereum is still affected by bitcoin prices.
Yes absolutely , you are right but ethereum and some other altcoins doesn't totally depend upon Bitcoins price . If Bitcoin is to fall one day then it's these altcoins that will take over though maybe stumble a bit in the beginning.

Blockchain investors are not necessarily risk averse. They’re generally comfortable with the amount of volatility that exists in the market today. Each individual investor in the market has the option to sell their tokens if they are not interested in the going ICO project, or see that there will be no demand for its tokens moving forward. while some investors wait for the token to get a reasonable price. Likewise, other investors choose to liquidate their assets as quickly as possible if the startup is not suited to face competition.

I think it's not a big deal for Bitcoin to reach the 20k mark . Though 2018 has not been the best year for crypto currency so far , but there still time . It's currently at the 6k mark but apart from that we have the highest reach in the past weeks . So just hold your coins ( if you have any) and wait patiently.

Nice efforts but the sites are just crowded with ads , just try to reduce those and this ways can be pretty useful and easy.
|
|
|
Why would you do that , I mean why invest all your money in one one and increase the risk of loss ( if any ) . I know that currently etherium is at a good position but investing in multiple coins can be actually profitable.

Of course you can hold altcoins for years. This is because altcoins are actually on the Rise and improving more than Bitcoin. Some of the altcoins like ethereum litecoin and many more show quite a bit improvement . If you are talking about long term investment like for 10 years or maybe just five years then altcoins are the choice because they are the future.

I think it's easy and complicated at the same time , merits can be given to you by those users who have merits (sendable). These are sMerits and these should be given under given amount of time or else it will expire. If a user thinks that your posts are constructive and of good quality then he will give you merits. This system has proved to be great because lazy and unconstructive users used to post shitty posts to get higher rank.
