1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam? on: November 03, 2017, 09:50:46 AM
Start with the assumption it is a scam and then move through the stages to make yourself believe it is not.

Team members with relevant blockchain AND sector experience ?

Do you like / believe the whitepaper ?

Backed by known entities or people - i.e. not celebrities and not known crypto people, but relevant real world and business people.

Avoid the hyped projects.

Check that the structure is not based on team money extraction - i.e. for example ICOs where tokens are issued to the team without considering the amount raised (such as Powerledger).

The best at the moment for all of the above is Prosume Energy.

Check the WP, team members with unbelievable knowledge, Ernst and Young on the advisory board as well as sovereign wealth fund advisor.

Existing project.

If you interested in, you look this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2163678.0. HydroMiner is a good project that using Water Energy to mine bitcoin or altcoins.

I personally think calling bitcoin miner that uses a specific kind of energy an "energy" company.

Let's keep this thread to the real energy projects with substantial futures and not hyped projects like that.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 UPCOMING ICOs 2017 Q4 on: October 24, 2017, 10:50:11 AM
I prefer Worldcore, because I been watch their presentations on youtube, its look very professional. And also this company launched and development since 2013. Their featured product also very  interesting " Regulated payment institution with voice Biometrics authentication"
What makes them different from other payment services though?

I do not understand the focus on the same things over and over again. It won't work out like that.

And then the major sectors of energy and healthcare are being neglected.

That's where the real upside is, and a huge market will be tackled while going through deregulation, such as with Prosume Energy.

Check out the team. Not many projects with such immense backing from energy and blockchain practitioners.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: October 23, 2017, 01:41:15 PM
Hey folks,

what do you think, which tokens are a great investment for 5-10 years?

All people tend to speculate on short-term moves but I am more interested in tokens that will go up x times over the next couple of years...

so to say, the Amazons and Googles of the crypto world.

Which coins are REALLY GROUNDBREAKING in your eyes and why?

I mean Bitcoin started the whole thing but technically there are so much better, safer, faster, more anonymous coins that should take over in the long run.

Please share your opinions

I think there will be a real shift towards tokens that have real intrinsic value. Furthermore, I think that the real decentralisation revolution will take place in sectors that are currently government influenced, such as energy and healthcare - i.e. what we will see is a massive boom in these sectors due to deregulation and at the same time decentralisation.

The sectors are also so large that they can accommodate and take over from current coins easily - and then there is real intrinsic value.

The most promising are projects such as Prosume - real business, real team.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What upcoming ICO's are you most interested in? on: October 23, 2017, 10:59:36 AM
I would focus on healthcare and energy. Prosume in energy. Healthcare still evaluating.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICO incoming, i'm lost in those !! on: October 21, 2017, 01:49:01 PM
Today,ICO has been found as the easiest way to rise huge investments needed to develop a project. It seems very easy to do rather than trying any traditional methods.Lots of companies are nowadays indulged in launching ICOs.But on the other side,it has become a huge problem since there are lots of scam ICOs nowadays. That's why, china and south korea have almost banned ICOs.

Nowadays, well established financial service companies have also started to launch ICOs.Instead of joining new ICOs,you could join such reputed companies ICOs.In simple words, just check the reputation of the company or the project developers before joining.

I totally agree about checking the reputation of the project and its members, however, I am not sure whether financial services companies have the right background or knowledge or even competence to create a long term "revolution" in the space where they are doing ICOs, I fear it is more driven by the greed of extracting funds and fear of missing out.

Much better to look at something like the energy sector where deregulation will take place and the right team with the right set up and the right connections to the existing energy infrastructure and utilities, can revolutionise the space.

Have a look at Prosume.

I have invested in many ICO's over the last 9 months. I have studied many and kept well away also. Sometimes that was a mistake I may add.

The best ICO I have found so far, to date is definately GLADIUS

What have you done in the healthcare sector ?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICOs you suggest for November on: October 21, 2017, 09:53:55 AM
Difficult to answer, not very great icos IMO in this period although there are too many... Look at Grid+ it looks very solid, WePower is their competitor

Good choice. Take a look at pylon-network.org also

Why do you suggest Pylon Network ? What do they have that Grid+ and Prosume Energy do not have much better ?
