TRADING BITCOINS ARE MORE FUN, JUST LIKE STOCKS
104  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 1700 Computers- low GPU AND CPU BEING USED on: November 05, 2013, 10:46:35 PM
you need to look at the difficulty, next estimate is 755745693.
better spend money trading bitcoins then spend money on miners that go obsolete in a month and losing money on the equipment.
Trading bitcoin is the trend

107  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Black Arrow offers FROM STOCK 40Gghash boards based on Bitfury 55nm ASICs on: November 05, 2013, 03:37:42 AM
What ASIC hardware currently is not "overpriced"?
A: None

If you're looking to protect the network, buy an ASIC. If you're looking to make money, just buy BTC and hold.

Even the ASICs I bought that I thought would be profitable by using a smart bitcoin mining calculator were unprofitable. And now, none of them look like they will be profitable on smart bitcoin mining calculators.. so it may be even worse than the first round. I think a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.

I hate to sound like eve, but I am done investing in Bitcoin mining equipment... it is simply a scam.

I agree, trading Bitcoin is more profitable, the trend is to trade

So i see allot of people here are on eligius pool I tried it over night and seemed to be less then i was making on btcquild.  However i know i really have to give it more time to see real results.  But im curious if there is anyone that has spend allot of time on both of them and what kind of findings did they find?   I really like the layout of btcguild my self.  But if i can make more BTC else where being eligius or somewhere else i give up the nice interface,  seems i have only made around .7 of a bitcoing the last 24 hours on btcquild with a Jupiter witch im thinking i could be making more eles where.   what are others making a day and where at?

i am on BTCG and made less than a BTC in the last 24hrs, i put it down to luck and me fiddling about reflashing and trying to see my realtime stats.

How many workers do you have?
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The KnC Saturn Miner experience on: October 14, 2013, 02:34:50 PM
I have a Saturn and I find 0.93 gives me the best performance of all the firmwares.
what is your hash rate and which poll?
112  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whats your average speed of jupiter or saturn on: October 13, 2013, 05:56:55 PM
I have a 200 gig sat that runs a consistant 260 using the .90 firmware I was a second or third day shipping so I have boards that have 8 vmr

how do you know how many vmr
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 12, 2013, 10:26:45 PM
slush's avg is over the last ten rounds, including restarts & down time
I am looking at the Mhash/s* number and that is very far off from the speed of cgminer, how is yours like.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 12, 2013, 10:21:49 PM
wow, mine wouldnt work that way...your call.. it should be:   stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333    exactly like that.

edit: Now the date is correct in cgminer too, among other things
Now I feel I'm ready for the other two saturns that have been "In Progress" all week... ship them badboyz already!
I'll send Darkrider to pick them up....hope he has a jet    Grin

The only stat that really worked before was the 5s avg.... now that all the other stuff is working, i can see myy real average is only about 268, which matches slush's stats.  Sad  I'm just glad to have one up & running for now
\
the cgminer hash rate is showing 270 but slush pool hash rate is showing 240, is there something wrong?
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 12, 2013, 09:37:25 PM
so if anyone has saved settings from cgminer, and just hit enter for the default config file... and experienced a gui glitch afterwards... this is the fix: after all the settings in cg are as you want them...when you save by hitting "S"for settings, then "W" for (write config file)in CGMiner don't hit "Enter", instead, type "/config/cgminer.conf", Then hit enter. Until I figured this out, I had to ssh into the miner, and start a second instance of cgminer to get mining, because KNC had added "HTTP://" to the stratum address, and entered my workername info incorrectly. The result, was a dead instance of cgminer, and a broken GUI, which was stopping me from changing the settings in a catch-22 situation. I inadvertantly used the cgminer default config file name in an attempt to fix the problem, not knowing that knc is using a custom location to store the config file. Seeking it in linux and typing it in the cgminer save field cured the problems. I now am able to assign the ip adress and save it as well now, where it wouldn't before, which means now, i dont have to sniff the ip either to ssh into the machine, or access the gui, because its all booting perfectly now, and connecting automatically to the pool, and hashing away by the time I can ssh in and do a screen -r.... no ip sniffing necessary. What a relief!
Smiley p.s... 0.95 is working fast as any I've had loaded now too.
do I need to remove http://
and if I remove it what is the difference, since I have the "http:// "showing and it's mining ..would it increase the mining speed
no, your pool is using http then; slush uses stratum...   if yours is working, don't fix it.. Smiley
actually i am using slush with http://...so i should take it out then?

117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: October 09, 2013, 09:22:22 PM
By now I've sent all the BTC payouts to those starter kit holdouts that gave us a payment address.

I sent my address but did not receive a payment. I'll send it again right now.
I also sent a email to Dave now, hope we get our payment soon.
118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: October 09, 2013, 11:51:12 AM
Hi folks - I have V1/V2 H-cards coming in early next week, so those H-card-only orders will ship sooner than the newer kits.

There are still some hitches getting my CC processing going.  They are waiting for a letter from Stripe's risk manager, who is dragging her feet.  In addition, the underwriter wants a copy of my EIN docs which I need to request from our government...which is shut down at the moment...This is an unfortunate reversal from their earlier position in which they waived the need for this document.

Still hoping to get CC orders paid before they start to get delayed.  If you have the ability to pay using BTC or another alternative like bank transfer, you can convert your payment method - just email accounts@megabigpower.com.

Kit order holders - we still have a few days to sort this out before you must consider this too.

If you've ordered both kit(s) *and* H-cards in the same order, we are going to assume you want all new-style hardware.  If this is not what you want, please let us know by emailing sales@megabigpower.com.

By now I've sent all the BTC payouts to those starter kit holdouts that gave us a payment address.

Most refunds are also processed, *except* for the larger BTC refunds, which I'll get more BTC from Tytus for.

All the best,
Dave

EDIT: forgot to mention - reels are coming very soon - expecting this week, or early next!

@DAVE I still haven't received my late aug. payments. I've thought I should be emailed first before I sent you the address, if that's the case i haven't received an email yet? or should I just email the address to you.
Thanks
