В проекте Metahash нет майнинга в классическом понимании (с использованием специального оборудования), мы используем форджинг. В двух словах, форджинг - это когда блок собирают не одна, а несколько машин в определённое время. Для форджинга достаточно будет установить кошелек на компьютер с 1MHC и просто держать его открытым. Кстати, уже сейчас вы можете установить наш кошелек и протестировать его. Будем благодарны за отзывы по его работе.

The amount of nodes is limited by a requirement of Coins at Stake lowering the total price of Network Hardware down. Consensus protection lies more on the value of the Coins rather than Nodes.
Moreover as the amount of transactions is extremely high when we divide the money people involved in forging by the amount of transactions we'll see that a fee much lower than current blockchains. brings more rewards to people involved in forging as if they would spend the same amount of funds to mining.

A PoW blockchain needs both hardware to calculate hashes and nodes. In PoS network protection lies on Coins themself.
And Coin value is not pure speculative, but is dependant from transaction commissions.

There is a lot of competition in the space.
BitCoin brand will live as digital gold, but it will have strong competition.

Infinite Inflation is not necessary in Chains.
We are making a chain with a limited supply which generation ends in 10 years.
By that time transactions fees are more than enough to cover network infrastructure especially in PoS systems.

If you make a fast chain capable of transmitting thousands of transactions per second you can even keep transaction price low and nodes that process transactions will still earn good amount of coins in a certain timeframe due to large volumes.
