I definitely think there is a group of big btcers though who manipulate the market. It just seems extremely easy to do when you have a lot of btc, and to profit handsomeley off it.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this how most people percieve Bitcoin? An NSA honeypot?? on: April 25, 2015, 05:40:47 PM
Most people get their information from the media, and the largest bitcoin headlines consist of seizures and illegal activities, undoubtedly this will reach some people and this will be what they think.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: These people have the power to take bitcoin mainstream overnight! on: April 25, 2015, 05:39:37 PM
I dont think they have the power to take bitcoin mainstream. Taking bitcoin mainstream would take a change in society, not a signle organization.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Classic Bitcoin Polls - What is your all time favorite Bitcoin wallet? on: April 25, 2015, 05:38:03 PM
Multibit! Firstand only wallet! No one to worry about but myself. Also lack of safety nets but w/e
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unbelievable amount of misinformation about Bitcoin on: April 25, 2015, 05:37:22 PM
Bitcoin is a confusing concept for many people which leads to misinformation. I even thought I understood it for a while when I didnt, and undoubtedly I spread some misinformation...
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convert to fiat anonymously? on: April 25, 2015, 05:36:27 PM
I think you can get 5BTC through sig campaigns. Buy some accounts, sign up, and get working! Treat it like a job! Faucets on the other hand are worthless for the most part.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the usage of Bitcoin now on: April 25, 2015, 05:35:02 PM
I think there is a smattering of bitcoin uses in nearly every aspect of your life. Just depends on where you live as to how prevalent it is.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: itBit exchange applies for banking licence on: April 25, 2015, 05:33:58 PM
To what extent to bitcoin exchanges need banking liscences? Do they store money in their own vaults like a regular bank or do they use other banks to store money and only act like a bank?
9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Small Block on: April 25, 2015, 05:32:23 PM
Theoretically blocks can be solved on the first attempt, and with the number of attempts happening every second, the time that a block can be solved in is very short. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case here.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome To The Blockchain on: April 25, 2015, 05:30:43 PM
Songs are always a good way to connect to people, and its nice to see some people make songs about bitcoin. Are you planning on making more?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should the government do to make women start using Bitcoin? on: April 25, 2015, 05:29:39 PM
Definitely a gas chamber. I think women using bitcoin would increase to over 10% of the female population if that happened. Though I would be in favor of more extreme methods like gladiator combat.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin Has What It Takes To Replace Fiat? on: April 25, 2015, 05:28:12 PM
I think fiat is already being replaced, but not in a way we think. Think of the prevalence of credit cards. Sure they are still based in usd, but they are nothing more than data on a computer. The idea of cold hard USD and fiat is dying, and I think its a good chance for bitcoin to take.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Online Dating Sites Start To Use Bitcoin on: April 25, 2015, 05:26:01 PM
I honeslty dont see that helping too much, dating sites dont have the influx of transactions that would make bitcoin useful.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Secret Of Bitcoin Island on: April 25, 2015, 05:24:44 PM
Looks like a retro game Tongue I think it could make a good game actually, a 90s style side scroller centered around bitcoin.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it take significant skill to "analyze the blockchain"? on: April 25, 2015, 05:23:41 PM
As far as I know, analyzing the block chain consists of tracing transactions to see if those transactions match up with what is believe to have happened. Example: If we hear that person A stole 5000 bitcoins then there must be a transfer of 5000 bitcoins somewhere in the blockchain, and since those transactions do not happen often, it should be easy to locate... I think.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the rise and fall of... on: April 25, 2015, 05:20:12 PM
Im new here, how big was mt gox? How many bitcoins did they hold? Were they really enough to break the momentum that brought bitcoin to 1.2k?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we'll look back on bitcoin and think that it grew amazingly fast? on: April 24, 2015, 01:36:33 AM
I had heard about the metoric rise of bitcoin, and then some time later I got into bitcoin. I had thought the meteroic rise was years back, but when i checked thegraphs, it was only a year, and it was worth 5$ only a year before that. I think we are moving incredibly fast.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: April 24, 2015, 01:33:04 AM
Many people say they will sell their coins at 1000$... But is this the spirit of bitcoin? How about you demonstrate the purchasing power of bitcoin and go out and buy something instead of just offloading them for some quick cash?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will BTC have a devoted/24 hr news channel on American TV??? on: April 24, 2015, 01:30:56 AM
I dont think we will see Bitcoin with its own channel anytime soon. There is too much volatility in the market and it's just not the same as other stocks. Sure you can look at new adoptions but those are even debated to have an effect.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you mine it or buy it? on: April 24, 2015, 01:28:15 AM
I guess I technically bought it, I sold some TF2 items for it when I first got them.

And currently I gamble with them I guess! Both in the market and on gambling sites! I should be more responsible...
