Hi Doktor83, back to mining and still have stacked Polaris 8/4/2 gb cards.. Of course i knew how eth is mineable only with 8gb polaris.. However i'd appreciate suggestion as to what to do with Baffin 2gb and 570/580 4gb anything near Ethereum profitability like CN-heavy back in the day?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: June 21, 2019, 11:47:50 AM
Does anybody tried on  Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 580 4gb?

Yes, increase REF to 12.
It can be increased up to 100+ for RX 5XX cards. But max stable amount depends on overclock and card quality. This parameter must be select individual for each card. Just need to try and if GPU start give incorrect shares lower REF parameter. Or increase it step by 10 and look into speed and stability...
what exactly is Refresh here? the 5 value added newly? why wasn't it around before? how it links to other refresh timings "tRFC"... so increasing it (beside the strap being already customized for CN or ETH) tends to give better performance? I do mine CN Heavy variants still. let me know Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire 16gb RX570 mining card testing and review. on: May 30, 2019, 05:54:32 PM
please, try it with CN-Heavy variants.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: May 20, 2019, 10:35:15 PM
Eliovp, so only with 19.4.x driver i could get the tool to to run, with 560/570/580 Tool is prompt when i tested, got hash increase.
However, after a disconnect and miner restating or anything similar, i can't apply any timings Sad not sure why, also, this 19.x drivers doesn't play well with most miners.
I also lost temperature control with overdriven or your tool, on those drivers.
By newish drivers as a requirement, which do you can do? 18.6.1/18.7.1 ?
also, thats a technical question, why do memory in action, change Dram and Dram timing 2 also EDC
I'm on windows 10 pro 1803
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: May 07, 2019, 03:41:33 PM
Slight problem here, anyone runs this with polaris?
I try to do basic changes to tRRD nothing changes (latest gui) i use 18.6.1 cause thats the latest favoured for polaris mining. However, i can try 19.xx drivers, not sure if TRD/JCE/SRB will like yhat though.
By the way, polaris is still unoptimized even with one click... I believe the author and a select few around know how to properly tweak gddr5 for specific algos.. Cryptonight is still really rewarding with proper timings as in 5-15% gains compared to best one click... Besides, too tight lower strap copy will sooner or later damage ram to a accept less frequency.
I cant think of any VEGA based GPU while my own mix of polaris is ridiculously cheap in comparison, 4gb 570 here is around 90$! Until now as well 4mb scratchpad gives higher memory polaris a distinctive advantage. (my 2 cents)
Elvovivipiii we love you btw Smiley
And that eth pill, isnt that miner girl? The one behind the acorn destruction? Cause i was fooled into those may 2018 vids as did thousand other idiots.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you are GPU only miners? on: May 07, 2019, 11:04:46 AM
one here, if any gpu mining is meaningful it would be Polaris followed by underpriced VEGA 56/64 rest imo are not bad but less efficient specially latest VEGA/Nvidia FPGAs too but the ridiculous capital is not justified imo.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [JCE]Fast & stable CN/v8/Heavy/Tube/XHV miner, CPU+GPU, Vega56 1800+ RX580 1200+ on: May 07, 2019, 09:59:27 AM
dude, just put whatever you think of a proper donation ratio. Well, the famous Claymore had a  Closed source miner, millions using and he literally was milking them... of 2017 i speak (mainly) even 3% is nothing when you ask me.
I already use other miners, but thats a piece of advice for yourself. you're talented.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: April 19, 2019, 10:47:56 PM
Thanks alot Eliovp for your efforts for the windows version. I have been learning this vague ubuntu thing for the last week until you released windows version.
Now, for the love of god, this 18.50 driver with Ubuntu 18.04 is installable?Huh As a desktop ubuntu NOT headless (i use the machine mainly to experiment on mining, and hell yes this linux is WAY stable than windows.) Can anyone tell me how i can get 18.50 GPU pro running? i tried installing amdgpu install and opencl only from amdgpu pro, tried alot and mostly end up in a stuck boot.

2nd issue! Windows, mate, i tried changing timings simply tRRD of elpida while its running..... (mining Graft with TRD 0.4.3) it succeds in changing tRRd to 4 for example, but when i use --current its back to old value (5) also tCKE/Pulse of Hynix AJR is wierd! 13/13 underload.... oO same with other wierd readings like bus_turn. are these things getting changed dynamically? also my gpus give memory errors while mining so that might explain failure to alter timings?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner 0.4.3 - Cryptonight Thread - High hashrate, Low Power on: April 09, 2019, 12:12:22 AM
I have an 8 card rig getting 8k/s total.

5- MSI RX470 8GB mining edition
3- Nitro RX570 4GB

Im getting 980 h/s from the 470s and 1k/s from the 570s but at 125 watts per card.  Total rig power at the wall is 1000watts.  Is there any way I van lower the power draw???

Hi! I daresay this miner is the most power efficient miner for all the variants we support. The tools at your disposal are bios and clocks tweaks. There are other people here that have trimmed their Polaris rigs much more than I have, hopefully then can pitch in.

As a start, can you tell us a little more about your setup? What clocks do you run the cards at currently?

I have the RX570s at 1250/900 core 2050/900 mem  and the RX470s at 1250/900 core andcore. 0/900 mem.  Even lower settings it doest save much energy at all.  I have them modded with the pimp my straps mod.  And Im using the blockchain drivers.
Hey, when I first tried this miner (v8) I have read the readme guide, this miner needs bit higher undervolt (windowa 10 here), but unlike other mines, even 1150 mhz core gives you still near max speed. I think you have an issue with speeds, see when core increasing starts to give deminishing returns.... going from 1150 to 1250 for +30 h/s is so inoptimum.  I wouldn't use 8gb ever to mine monero. Bittubev2 and heavy variants, speed is 1200+ with proper timings and 1250 core. The 4gb is surely fine. Notice 8gb filled of gddr5 filled with data conaumes more than 4gb.. so I would use those for an algo that rewards (most heavy variants) and keep 4gb 570 to monero. (560 2gbs I found even more efficient, more than vega if for one reason)
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner 0.4.3 - Cryptonight Thread - High hashrate, Low Power on: April 06, 2019, 03:19:27 PM
I am thinking about mining Monero (cryptonight R). I have 3 290x gpu's. My electricity is about 12 cent. As far as I can see profitability will be weak to say the least, should I wait for Monero to rise in value or would the hashrate kill of profitability anyways??

Beyerd, I ABUSED 6 290x/390 , had two near new 290x gigabyte, one had  the VRM burnt for some reason (this one was unstable anyway, think the gpu had a grit of sand from factory and heat damagge happened probably with first user)
The other with the Stilt Bios and timings mods, used to do REALLY low reading, fans run lightly, it gave around 90 watts total in HWinfo mining v7 CN back in the day.
What i would do is go 1000 mhz only and undervolt-experiment (every miner is different) sometimes it can take -200 mv, the stilt bios changes VRM frequency which isa hard tweak, however they really ran with less energy.  used to do 900 h/s back in the day.... also i know what to be done with the timings for polaris but with this 290x, you need to underclock and tweak timings specifically as hell for cryptonight, what works well for Cryptonight always is, lower tRD and tRC, higher tCL and consequent timings, loosen tRFC substantially and bump Rasmactwr mainly and rasmactrd. try with 1000 mhz memory speed with tight timings and start  overclocking memory, no errors, then maybe tighten more.... elpida in polaris does miracles at lower speed than even 1750 mhz with proper timings
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Memory Tweak - Read and modify memory timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] on: April 06, 2019, 01:49:55 AM
Changing memory timings on the fly is a very good idea!
It's possible to access GPU MMIO registers in Windows too.
It's a bit tricky to implement it properly even if you have good skills and that's the main problem.
Registers offsets can be found in ROCm sources and typedefs in OhGodADecode utility or in ROCm again (though it contains only bitmasks so it would take some time to convert them).
Anyway, this tool gave me an idea of new feature, thanks, also it was funny to play with registers and see some BSODs Smiley
I donated 0.25BTC to the address in first post.

probably gonna install an on the fly in his newest quadra milking (closed source) miner.... at least someone is rich after these massacres.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Memory Tweak - Read and modify memory timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] on: April 06, 2019, 01:37:06 AM
Hi Eliovp, i was following you since late 2017, finally something new in this lovely mining atmosphere. Thanks a lot for all the info you shared around , many others were doing nothing or even destructive like the minah gurl gpu accelerators scam (scammed on a CLE101).
Now i mine CN heavy variants, can do moderate timings edits of my own for ~1200 h/s polaris 8gig (only rx 500 mining), now i'm not that good with linux or to be honest never ran distros for mining, still using retarded windows 10. So i can't get what the tool is like? i understand it recognizes memory vendor /model and applies slight or aggressive compute timings? which algo are they biased towards? is there going to be any windows version? afair last on the fly timing tool was zawawas and he stopped altogether early. how is this different.
again thanks for the knowledge sharing!
Just to add, i can install hive but, haaving the patched rig sustained running is very hard....most 580s/8gb are 1250/2150  clocks with core voltage of 950-962  one rx 470 8gb (the only samsung i have) is wierd and sometimes will ignore undervolting and resets entirley or keeps forcibly running max fan/throttling even though its 64 c!!! thats on windows 18.6.1 so linux controls would be an epic story to handle, do they kernel panic /reset undervoltage too ?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [JCE]Fast & stable CN/v8/Heavy/Tube/XHV miner, CPU+GPU, Vega56 1800+ RX580 1200+ on: April 02, 2019, 05:24:49 AM
dude, just do the dev fee that you like, according to fluctuations..... idc if its 2% and became 3%...
c'mon
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [JCE]Fast & stable CN/v8/Heavy/Tube/XHV miner, CPU+GPU, Vega56 1800+ RX580 1200+ on: December 20, 2018, 07:17:36 PM
Hi all,

Linux GPU: unlikely. I'm a niche miner (CPU and older GPUs) and adding the Linux concept would make it a niche of a niche, but a lot of dev time to do. The Win GPU is already like 15% of my fees but 90% of the support, the Linux version would be like 1% of my users for 95% of the support. I cannot afford this Sad
Sometime i don't look at the market and do things for fun, like supporting the HD6000, but it remains an acceptable dev time. Linux GPU wouldn't.

Btw try TeamRed on Linux for v8 mining, it burns like fire Wink

@PIOUPIOU99: yeah thanks, my new CPU miner also burns like fire  Cool

Speed on Intel: i don't even have any big Intel CPU, i'm all AMD, as for the GPU (i've zero nVidia). But that's ok, i'll do some theorical optimizations for big Intel CPU too.
Can you tell me what exact CPU you have? Maybe a good config can close the gap with xmrstak. I know i must beat it by more than 1.5% to compensate for the devfee. It's true in most cases, but yeah maybe not the i7.
I do use it but competitive linux miner is always welcome Smiley
The great laik is asking for something Smiley probably have 580 8gb cards with timings mods doing 1400 cn heavy or something
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [JCE] Ultrafast CN-Heavy/Tube/HVX miner, low power, Vega56 1750+ h/s on: November 07, 2018, 03:24:01 AM
Hi, why the hash rate fluctuations? haven heavy or v8 on 4gb.... most fluctuate much..... on 2x 570 and one 560, the hash rate fluctuates on them as if its linked..... Multi hash not really much influential, however that 0.33b5 is Really fast..... samsung 8gb rx 470, haven, 1130 h/s etc. But some other GPUs are very low rate although they have good timings multi hash 944x2 , 8 work size on heavy 8 gb works but some doesnt like it..... dropping to 960+896 or even 896X2 doesn't fix much

I have up to date windows, fresh reset, 18.6.1 drivers..... more than enough virtual memory but only 4gb of ram. windows up to date. slots are 1.1 pcie tried going 2.0 yesterday , didnt notice much difference.

last i used was one of thos 0.31 copies that were slow in mining start, used to steadliy on hynix 8gb give 1090 h/s with 944 multi hash X2
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: October 17, 2018, 06:27:20 AM
obvious new monero algo uses more compute. rx 560 2gb will shine here, where 550 will struggle. optimum miners making use of compute cores utilization efficiently will result in more hash for less electricity.
Anyway, sounds like a big thing for FPGAs but also acorn (afaik acorn accelerators does computational work way faster? as in more power savings for v8)
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: October 04, 2018, 08:33:15 PM
use JCEminer or SRB miner, for JCE intensity on hynix is 944 , 2 threads, 8 work size
for Micron, the most accepted is 960+896 Samsung is the same.
SRB miner doesn't allow configuring each thread so, its experimenting with values from 56 to 60 for intensity (with 2 threads and 8 work size)
CN heavy needs special straps (cryptonight in general) there is one Hynix MJR in SRBminer thread so good at 2100 mhz memory, for Samsung, afaik 3.1enhanced ubermix is the best. However i think for samsung and micron there is a lot of improvement.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE][TUTORIAL][XMR,ETH,ETN]How To Mod Bios RX470/570/480/580 VEGA Mining 💰 on: September 14, 2018, 06:57:40 PM
PBE v3 is Great really fine tuned my bios, thank you for your work Matthew! my Only question is When Vega?
Thx. You can write review here https://mining-bios.eu/product/polaris-bios-editor-3-pro-pbe-3-pro-performance-timings/#tab-reviews  Smiley
I don't have any Vega, my friend is developing Vega bios editor, but he is stuck and probably won't be able to decode the timings. From what I know even Wolf0 and Eliovp weren't able to do it.
There might be support for RX500x series if it ever will come out not just OEM and we will see what RX600 series will be. RX650/660 or so might still be Polaris but high ends will probably use GDDR6 instead of GDDR5.
AMD will probably deny bios edition in newer editions.

Was exactly thinking the same for the past months Smiley it was a backport pain probably for them all the returns with messy bios and dead/abused cards. However, they had an advantage with this, would have never bought a single nvidia during this one year crypto boom.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: September 13, 2018, 11:57:09 AM
They probably have just been mining on everyone's preordered hardware and made up the "delay" to make some extra money.
dude, you're comparing them to bitmain, the company that produces 100x speed mining ASIC machines, then it makes sense to keep the hardware to mine with it while everybody is still mining with a 1x speed GPU (thus making fraudulently loads of money, using very low difficulty) with the ACORN though, do you mean they keep a 200USD (at least) item that will give them once used another 30 cents/day mining eth or whatever crap?
hell, look around you , they even create false /fake coins to create demands for their mining ASICS. Don't compare anything to "Bitmain" they are the biggest fraud in the mining/crypto space.
Do use math first before you speak i'd suggest.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: August 22, 2018, 01:16:12 AM
Hi all, So basically, Not sure what to buy. have abuild of 11x RX 560 2gb CN normal (i never mine core intense algo)
Another rig is Cryptonight heavy with Rx 580 8gb High end cards (8 cards)....
I'm intersted in CN normal/Heavy and Maybe Ethereum...
How many CLE101 are sufficient for most of the bonuses to apply.
Is the 215 (not the + variant) worth it, the double memory?
So Basically those cards aren't Card based but more of IO (hash amount based?) so that means a single CLE 101 can boost 4x 560 2gb or 2x 570s/580s ... What about CN heavy, thats massive bandwidth here to make 1150 h/s with an 8gb polaris (when compared to VEGAs tiny 1400 h/s in heavy)

Appreciaste any input.
Also, whats wrong with the shipping? One CLE101 cost 75USD to reach Australia (Business class 50 gram item Smiley?) my concerns are all about the feasibility of mining the cost of these things are what you can pay right now for 3-5 Ethereum!
