You are right it is always good to hold a bit of your portfolio in FIAT to invest in coins like Ethereum when they are dipped out.

100 dollar is enough, but near the trades who you are doing I can suggest you to join some airdrops. On this way you can earn more and grow your start capital.

A lot of alt coins are dipped out but I think that we need to the recovery of Bitcoin to see the whole market situation. Otherwise the alt coins will decrease more.

If you do not have put stop loss while trading, then it is a good decision that you hold the coins. Important to know is, if you do not sell, yo do not have made losses.
