Looking at the side function, indeed I'll be agree if this coin can be said as a store of value. Take a look how many altcoin that use this blockchain network and create new feature like ICO and DeFi project that still booming.
Many people has been considered that DeFi project can change the old system that still being used by most people now.
The future of DeFi projects are unknown. They are booming now but their survival won't be tested with bear market. They will need 2 up to 3 more years to be tested. Decentralization are characteristic that people are looking for and would easily fall in love with. If this generation of DeFi projects fails, the later ones will get better success. This is why I'll be agree if ETH is a good coin and I'll say that this is the next bitcoin. When many people think that bitcoin is already high then they will choose this altcoin for their investment place.
Ethereum won't be a next bitcoin. It is Ethereum, simply said and I'd like to call it is the altcoin King. Bitcoin is the crypto King. Ethereum 2.0 and Proof of Stake with lock requirements can make the coin is more favorite for storage but let's see. Bitcoin does not need lock, proof of stake to be the King and the storage asset. |

So I am reading and researching a lot of stuff regarding the benefits and real use cases of NFT's, however there are still lots of unanswered questions regarding its concept. Based on what I have understand, though, NFT's are just a digital version of the traditional document "Certificate of Authenticity" or COA that has the verified signature and important elements provided by the artist in it right?
The hype that is on going with NFT brings the past stories back. Cryptokitties created a hype of games on Ethereum blockchain and I remember the Deep Onion altcoin tries to give ownership proof, certificate for crypto users. Over $1 million for one virtual cat because it is an unique virtual cat. It's mad. NFT get a big support from Elon Musk and in this time this support makes sense for NFT. People are blurred by the big sales with NFT but do they realize that they can be able to sell the same in real auctions? NFT is interesting but I would like to see it grows and is used for smaller items that are more meaningful in life. Big deals are only tools to advertise NFT and make it more popular. |

That leaves me for a reason to trade only if necessary or if I have token and coin I bought before that only can be exchange on uniswap. Dont get me wrong, but I never gonna blamed the eth network or either uniswap for this as we all knew how eth congestion worsen but of course as a consumer or client its my right to speak that eth should do anything and everything to improve this tremendous fee, I know its hard to plan up everything but this problem is not a minor issue that could affect your project later on if continously ignored. But I'm still in for the best for eth.
It is all about planning up your transactions. Some bounty hunters blame on ETH network when they are charged with expensive costs for ERC 20 token movements but at the same time the value of tokens they move is not too high. Fee will be cheapest when price of ETH or ERC-20 tokens are stable in very narrow price range (not pumps, not dumps). They decide to move their tokens when price skyrockets and by that they would know transaction fees will be high. Why they do not move their tokens when price is low and wait for pumps to sell? It is their bad plan or no plan at all and Ethereum network is not responsible for this. |

It is not true when crypto market turns the trend from bullish to bearish. People will shake their hands and switch to bitcoin or stable coins. DeFi projects will die and Decentralize Finance's pools are one of biggest places that people are currently stored and locked their ETH inside. The phase of Proof of Stake with Ethereum 2.0 can attract people and convince them to lock their ETH for a while to enjoy staking and get staking rewards. If you got experience with Proof of Stake coins in 2017 or 2018, you will know that lock is not forever and people can decide to stop staking and shaking hands anytime. I don't agree to call Ethereum as a coin for value storage. |

Recently i have done tx on uniswap. The total fees cost goes 50-80USD. noramlly compare to binance smart chain its huge.

Not all ERC-20 tokens work on Binance Smart Chain. If you don't have option to use Binance Smart Chain for your swaps, you will have to wait for hours when transaction fees on ETH network is cheaper than other hours. CZ mad a statement like this without any solid proof and I believed that his aggressive comments is attempting to deceive eth holders, which he thought could create panic. However, that doesn't mean serious because if people would turn their back against this crypto asset it would have affect the price right now. FUD started working nowadays, don't get easily fooled with it.
CZ is right but he exaggerated the level of truth. If you don't count the potential income and profit from investment into ETH or BNB, and simply consider about the loss from transaction fees on the two chains. CZ is very correct because people lose more money for transactions on ETH chain rather than on BSC chain. The loss is bigger for small transactions. The poor get poorer with ETH transactions, correct. Even the rich who get more profit from ETH investment, they will still lose big money in ETH transaction fees. Obviously, the loss in transaction fees for the rich and their big transactions are not big in % but in USD value, it is big. |

In terms of a business competition, Binance Smart Chain is one a step ahead of the Ethereum platform. They dare to offer low fees to attract the attention of new projects to use the BSC platform. Seeing the breakthroughs made by the Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum a development team will definitely put up a fight to maintain its position as the 2nd best cryptocurrency after a bitcoin. Yeah, Ethereum 2.0 would be a very logical answer to regain dominance ETH.
It is tip of iceberg and Ethereum had same period in 2017 when it took the chance when bitcoin network was congested. Vitalik that time said Ethereum network won't be congested. Not too long later, a few months later, Cryptokitties and some bad ICOs make Ethereum network congested. If I recall correct, the congestion on Ethereum network needs more time to resolve than Bitcoin network. Until the next bad thing happens to BSC,,, people will move to where it is fastest and cheapest but personally I think a lot of projects had the same choice in the past with NEO (china) and WAVES (Russia) but still they stuck on Ethereum.
Fee is the most attraction but chains will be full, congested and free at different times. Ethereum network won't be congested forever, high fee won't last forever. People will choose Ethereum again for their safety. Once they realize later development is still on ETH 2.0, they will move back. Like you said, defi will die.
ETH 2.0 is promising to resolve the issue and DeFi death call is a good contributor. I use to be a Ethereum supporter in the last few years but i am so disappointed on how this progress since last quarter of 2020.

If you compare so, you need to compare many altcoins with bitcoin. Bitcoin is the leader of this market. There are not many altcoins have bigger increases than bitcoin if you're saying about old altcoins. New altcoins and new tokens are fully hyped. |

I was messing around with MetaMask and BSC its really easy and the GAS fees are incredibly low, cost around 18c to execute a smart contract this is around 200x cheaper than Ethereum network, I'm glad the team chose BSC > Ethereum.
In the future, I think bridges between ERC-20 chain and BSC chain will help projects get more attention from investors. If it is not too hard to integrate for Graphene platform, the team can consider it and try to build up an ecosystem for Graphene as decentralized as possible. Rely on a single chain, Binance Smart Chain or ERC-20 chain is not the perfect choice. With USDT, it begins with OMNI layer on bitcoin network but after many years, Tether USD now is actively used on many chains: ERC-20, TRC-20, EOS, HECO and more. BSC is good or best for this time but in months or few years to come, I am not sure. Crypto changes very fast as lightning speed. |

In your list, I think EOS and XRP will have turn overs soon. Siacoin need more time but accumulation is not bad if you have big capital and want to decentralize it into bags of altcoins. I would like to trade EOS and XRP in USDT pairs but for Siacoin, SC/BTC pair is good. I am waiting for x2 increases from EOS and XRP and the stable movements of bitcoin from now till the last week in March can help altcoins to rise, rally, bounce. |

Even now, if I accept high transaction fees on bitcoin network, I can get fast transaction. I don't have to wait for 2 business days and wait till Tuesday to get a completion for my transaction if I broadcast it in Friday. With Lightning network and its future, I don't see why Bitcoin can not beat VISA but VISA will still exist and plays its roles as one of most popular payment gateways for people. As long as the price of the Crypto goes up there always will be such stories as the above. Even if you are keeping a good level of protection there's always a weak link somewhere in the system, all you can do is to reduce the risk but you can barely make it 0.
I've said that many times before, all those hacks have a really bad impact on the crypto world and dragging more and more people out of the community. We have to keep inform the newbies about the hidden traps in the crypto world.
It is the reminder that is repeated many times. "Don't put all your eggs into one bag". Eggs are your capital, your cryptocurrency. Bag is exchange, DeFi, wallet or transaction, swap. I don't make a single transaction to move all my capital from one exchange to another, from one wallet to another or in one period. If I move my capital, I will move it in a few transactions with a few hours in between two transactions. |
