Even though my multi bet failed in the first leg but I will still do the same in the second leg this time. Now the chance can still do that I think. The condition of Bayern is still my favorite and I agree with the bookie as well as Tottenham who previously lost in the first leg.
In another match I have no doubts about Manchester City and I even made another bet that City could score more than 2 goals there.

Great, you can wait a long time for the final result, because Manchester City will just play next week and for me personally, I can't wait for the results of bets, so I won't apply bets like that. But about multi bets, I'm happy with this method, but usually I only enter matches that will be played on the same day.

But yes, regarding the teams that you choose in the multiple bets, basically these teams are indeed projected to win. But in the Champions League there are often unexpected results, so even though we choose teams that on paper will win and also with seeded odds, in reality this still doesn't guarantee us an easy win.

The countdown is running guys and I just saw the lineups for Bayern vs PSG and when I saw Yann Sommer as Bayern Munichs goalkeeper, I thought how often he must be thinking that he is dreaming. He probably never expected to get the chance to play in the Champions League against PSG one day as he is already 34 years old and there was no plan to leave his club for another one. Then Neuer breaks his leg and because of the injury of someone else suffered while skiing, his whole career takes a turn and he plays the biggest games possible in club competitions, what an amazing story.

As for the odds we can see above, I think that the game for Tottenham will be harder than the odds reflect. 1.81 seems to be a little low to me. I expect a fierce fight and I don't think that Tottenham will win with 2+ goals against Milan. It is more likely in my opinion that they go into extra time.

I guess Graham Potter will stay a little longer after tonight's performance, but we all know he is not completely secure in the long run Grin
Maybe he is finally getting the team together and understanding the players better or maybe they are just luckier in the champions league than they have been in the premier league. Until the end of the game, I was not convinced that Chelsea were going to finish off well. They had many opportunities that they would have been able to score more than just two goals, luckily for them they did not concede plenty goals when they played away to Dortmund in the first leg. This victory gives Graham Potter some fresh air from the series of losses he has recorded as a coach with Chelsea, and more time for Chelsea team to be stronger before the competition becomes more serious with the last eight teams.

To be fair Chelsea deserved to advance to the next round. Both games taken together Chelsea was the better team, but the circumstances under which they today scored their second goal were a bit weird. I learned a lot about the referee rules as I didn't even now some of the stuff that had to be applied today when the penalty was given.

On stream they said that this game is make or break game for Graham Potter. They are perhaps right when he now also wins a couple of games in the Premier League, but when they keep losing and also get kicked out in the next round of the Champions League, I still think he has not yet reached the dry land.

Todd Boehly was also at Stamford Bridge today and watched the game. He is probably pleased and will give Potter some room to breathe and prepare for the next games. If Chelsea can make it to the semi finals, they could even save the season partially although not starting in the Champions League next year is actually quite the nightmare for Chelsea.

Benfica showed a great performance and shouldn't be underestimated as well. Brugge is not the kind of opponent that should get them into trouble, but still winning 7-1 in both legs is strong.

Getafe vs Girona this match is very interesting, currently the home team is really a lead with a score of 3-2. I was surprised to see their can scored of 3 at halftime it was a really good record for them against Girona, which are currently 11th in table. 15 minutes left this game is finished, Getafe must be able to maintain this score if they want to get three points.
Maybe if Girona won in this match it would have been very reasonable, but if we look at Getafe, who have won 3 goals since the first half, it is very unexpected. But indeed Girona's efforts in the second half were not enough to make things a draw and hosts Getafe secured the full 3 points to keep away from the relegation zone.
Concentration that has not been formed perfectly in the early minutes of the game allows Getafe to score goals quickly. Indeed, usually at the start of a match it is a vulnerable minute for a team, and that was what Girona experienced in this match so they had to lose 2 goals in the early minutes. Getafe were able to take advantage of Girona's inadvertence and that was one of the keys for them to win this match.
Getafe had a great chance to score a penalty short of an easy goal.  And they make good use of that opportunity. Because of this they went one goal behind Girona and Getafe won the match 3-2. If Girona didn't go into the penalty area and commit that foul on a Getafe player.  Then Getafe wouldn't have had that penalty and maybe Girona's goalkeeper would have saved the goal if it hadn't been for the penalty.  In this case, the match was highly likely to be a draw. I am not saying that Getafe is not a strong team.  They are a strong enough team and have the right to win the match.  Anyway congrats to Getafe for the win

But overall the game went quite in favor of Getafe. Wink There were some close situations where Girona today was just a step too late or too slow. It doesn't work that way for Getafe very often, but today it happened. Girona fought back hard after the halftime. Especially after the 3-1 they pushed Getafe and they only tried to hit Girona on the break from that moment on. I think it's a fair result after that first half for Getafe.

And it looks like the 1-0 score could also last until the game ends. and in the second half until now in the 54th minute there has not been a goal again. And I think it is very likely that Barcelona will be able to maintain their advantage in this match if Real Madrid cannot make more dangerous attacks into the Barcelona defense area. But actually I prefer Real Madrid in this match.
There is still the second leg that will be happening in camp no, real madrid is still possible to surpass it and winning the match against barcelona. The own goal that already made by militao was a very bad mistake by him. That was making real madrid loses its confidence to win against barcelona in the santiago bernabeu. The next match gonna happen in camp nou. Real can come back anytime soon. I think that if militao didn't make mistake like that and the result gonna be draw.
It's very good to see that real madrid has not yet lose its chance to win against barcelona caused by second leg is still available.

Real Madrid are in serious jeopardy right now, with the Whites having the potential to end the season without a title. If you see opportunities in La Liga, Madrid have lost a lot of points and it is very difficult to catch up with Barcelona, who are leading by seven points. The Copa Del Rey should have been another priority that should have been a focus point, but the defeat in the first leg was certainly very stifling especially when it happened at the Santiago Bernabeu. Indeed, Madrid's opportunities are still open in the 2nd leg, but of course if you remember last night's results it became a very difficult mission for Madrid to turn things around.
This season's journey is still very long and I still don't believe that Real Madrid will end the season without a title, even though they lost 1 goal in the first leg of the Copa Del Rey but anything is still possible in the second leg later.
The defeat in the first leg is inseparable from Real Madrid's misfortune, because if you look at the game Real Madrid can control it well.

and also in La liga Real Madrid still have a chance, although at the moment they are still 6 points behind Barcelona, I don't think it's a difficult margin to chase.
there are still quite a lot of matches to end this season.

I believe that Real Madrid will win at least one title and that could be the champions league, because if they fail in this competition and can’t catch up to Barcelona in the La Liga title race then they’ll turn their full attention to winning the champions league. Furthermore I fear for Ancelotti‘s job, because I feel that he’s done terrific work at Real Madrid, but failure to win nothing this season will definitely cost him his job.

It is still a very long way for Real Madrid to win a title. They are behind in La Liga, they are behind in Copa del Rey, and in the Champions League they still need to win a quarter final, a semi final and then a final. I assume they won't have problems winning this round against Liverpool, that is why I didn't mention it here but the game still needs to be played.

The chances for Real Madrid to win a title are still relatively small. That can quickly change, but it can also quickly be over in a couple of weeks.

Arsenal is still facing Liverpool , Manchester City and Newcastle. They are also playing against Chelsea, but I wouldn't say that that game is as hard as it once was when Chelsea was in shape. Manchester City is still within striking distance and Arsenal also has to play away against them. This can still go a lot of ways but I wonder whether Manchester United can be successful enough to play for the first in the end. That would be the icing on the cake for this season when it turns into a three-way fight.
Arsenal will beat Liverpool and Newcastle but Manchester City will always be a hard game for them. Newcastle have lost their form recently and will probably drop lower down in the league because of it and Liverpool have been very bad and are no match for the Arsenal attack. I expect Arsenal to beat Liverpool by a lot of goals.

That is quite optimistic to state as a fact that Arsenal will beat Liverpool and Newcastle Wink

Perhaps you are right, but I would at least expect some close games. All three games are away games and both Liverpool and Newcastle only lost one game at home in this season. What makes you so confident that Arsenal will beat them both when statistically the chance that those two clubs lose a home game is less than 10%?

I believe Arsenal would defeat Everton this time around. Although I must say Everton played better than Arsenal the last time they meet and they were rightfully the winners of the game.

But this time around Arsenal would definitely know their mistakes in the last game and try not to let it happen again also there would be more productive up from with that I believe Arsenal would win the game.
Yeah, I agree with your prediction, After having dropped from the first position to the second, and then regaining it back again, I believe that they now understand how important keeping that position is for them, and I think that as from now on, they would do anything to defend it and make sure they never drop to a lower position again, I believe this zeal would act as a catalyst for them to beat Everton this time.

Arsenal is still facing Liverpool , Manchester City and Newcastle. They are also playing against Chelsea, but I wouldn't say that that game is as hard as it once was when Chelsea was in shape. Manchester City is still within striking distance and Arsenal also has to play away against them. Psg team totally destroyed marseille yesterday and secured the title in my opinion after monaco loss yesterday, despite the score being 3 0 marseille team had as many chances as psg team did but they were not surgical in the finish and not to mention the huge role donnaruma played in the win since he saved many dangerous goal chances, this win will give them a huge moral boost when facing bayern in the champions league.

Marseille needs to be more vigilant in the future, Monaco or Lens can get rid of Marseille from its current position at any time. Marseille's small mistake will lead them to a worse situation this season
Positions two, three and four in the standings are currently only 2 points apart, this is will be even more exciting and I am looking forward to surprises from the three teams before entering the end of the season.

@zuzie indeed PSG has taken a big lead and that should suffice unless they suddenly lose their form, but I doubt that they’ll lose the title now. Furthermore their head coach job isn’t secure yet even if he wins the league title then too he maybe sacked, because all PSG owners care about is winning the champions league hence I’m sure that he’s yet under pressure yet.

I disagree with you, PSG is just 8 points ahead of Marseille and that is not enough to make them champions of France even though they are in good form at the moment. PSG can still lose more than 3 matches before the end of the season and if Marseille improve in their performance and win all their matches, there are chances of them still winning the League ahead of PSG. For the PSG coach, I think what the club needs is the Champions League so even though he needs up winning the League without the Champions League he will be sacked but he has the chance to still be the coach of PSG if wins the League and the Champions League this season.

They could lose more than 3 matches, but sometimes it looks as if they could also play 3 levels better than last game if they needed to. They have strong 60 minutes during a game and score their goals, they also have fun together, but the only games they fight really hard are those where something serious is on the line. Now it can of course happen that some of them get injured and they can't easily scale up their level, but 8 points in Ligue 1 for PSG is quite a lot. In the EPL I would say that the first could quickly lose two or three games in a row, but in Ligue 1 it is not very likely.

Sevilla have been much better in the recent times. Maybe they are still struggling against the biggest teams of the league. But they are at least able to perform better in the remaining ones and they are finally getting wins as well. They need to keep this going to finish the season at a safe position in the standings too. The Europa League win should also be some help.

Osasuna are a good team but Sevilla should be able to benefit from the home advantage in this game. I think they will win this game by one goal.
Not seems good progress with Sevilla in this season because underperformance and keep inconsistency, one match won and next match have loss three points in domestic league until 12th current standing position right now. Sevilla this season have eliminated in Champion League, Copa del Rey and their potential finish on top fourth La Liga standing position.

But have good performance in  Europe League after winning first Playoff round leg against PSV and three goals winning make Sevilla confidence facing second leg few weeks later. I think playing on European competition trough domestic league position standing seems difficult except Sevilla get Europe League tittle in this season.

The Europa League is their last chance and I really think that they will show a better performance there than in any other competition. We all know that they have extraordinary experience in the Europa League. Aren't they even the club who won it most often?

La Liga is going bad for them. This is a season they should try and forget about unless they can catch up over the next few weeks. It is 9 points to the Europa League qualification and that's not impossible to achieve, but there are a variety of other clubs that are performing better than usual.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 23, 2023, 06:06:26 PM
That is what I notice as well. A good number of merchants do accept Bitcoin, but that doesn't change the market dynamics of Bitcoin for better as it is just funneled back as a sale into the market through Bitpay etc.
It does change the market dynamics, because more merchants will exchange their goods for bitcoin. It's just not progressive. Most still rely on intermediaries, which is the situation we were trying to avoid in the first place.

I'm afraid that there are two causes:

  • Merchants want immediate conversion to fiat, which can't be done if they do self-custody.
  • Potentially mistaken interpretation of some legislation. Doing self-custody electronically is, no doubt, a brand new thing, which might sound too good to be legal.

Well ok so it would change the market dynamics for all the goods that are in stock and have been bought with Bitcoin. That would draw more Bitcoin out of circulation.

But regarding the intermediary thing, isn't that the gap that could be closed by a full-fledged software that is fully adapted to applicable legislation and easy to handle for the merchants? There is already massive accounting software out there. What do you think is holding software companies back to tap their toe in the water and try to build something where merchants could more or less get started with plug and play?
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 23, 2023, 06:00:55 PM
Manchester City did not play badly in the first half, but they conceded in the second half. Leipzig defended well and did not concede many goals, which is a success for them. I won't be surprised if we see a surprise result in the second match. Everyone thinks that Manchester City will easily win their home game, but if Leipzig has a good strategy, they can win the game
Leipzig are not a bad club, but like everyone else I think they will be unlucky in the return game. Manchester City have played poor away games recently, but they play much better at home. Although even in the last match their stats were better than Leipzig's. I think they can win the next game, although I agree that the unexpected outcome of the match cannot be ruled out.
Leipzig success in holding Manchester City to a draw is proof that their club really has the motivation not to be daunted by Manchester City's achievements. From these results, it is certain that leg 2 will be a mature consideration for Leipzig. At least they are very careful even though it is difficult to beat Manchester City at home later. Pep Guardiola said they were disappointed with this result because they saw that their players were not very effective in attack. Haaland also did not perform optimally in that match. The absence of Kevin De Bruyne has had a major impact on Manchester City's attack sector. Mahrez needs the right ball supply and that has to be Kevin De Bruyne.

The pressure and expectations are now all on Manchester City. They want and must win the Champions League finally. Leipzig would have hoped for a win, but that would have been too much I think considering how the game went. But now they can play a game almost free of pressure. Nobody "expects" Leipzig to beat Manchester City, but at the same time they know that if they also have some luck along with a strong performance, it is not impossible for them to win that game. Or to make it into a penalty shootout.

~snip~

The 2-0 victory against Cadiz, made Xavi Hernandez's squad widen the distance from Real Madrid, so that with the rest of the game it will take them on the path to fighting for the title this season.
The result of the Barcelon-Cadiz game can already be guessed from the beginning. The extra three points are enough to make the gap again eight points. This makes Barcelona certainly more comfortable to concentrate in the Europa League. Of course, Cadiz cannot be confused with Man United but this victory makes Barcelona's players morel more and certainly more confident.  Sergio Roberto and Lewandowski made two goals even Sergio Roberto made one assist for Lewandowski.

Barcelona has what it takes to win this la Liga league title, because their displayed from the beginning of this competition showed that they are well organized to defeat any team to move forward to improve their points. Cadiz tried their possible best to reduce Barcelona points in their last match but they failed at the end by allowed Barcelona to defeated them 2-0  to alert other teams that they are in a solid ground in this season. Roberto and Lewandowski are very ready to score more goals to make their fans happy till they embrace the title in this tournament.

I thought Barcelona would beat Cadiz and I was happy to see that I was not wrong about that.  Now they have a qualifying match against Manchester United.  I hope they manage to win and go to the next round.  Speaking of La Liga, the surprise for me was that Getafe beat Valencia 1-0.  A very good win for Getafe was an absolute 3 points missed for Valencia.  Valencia wanted to get away from the relegation zone by winning this match, they failed.

When strong teams play against weak teams the real problem to solve for the weaker teams is to score at least one goal and that is what makes Barcelona be almost invulnerable against weaker teams. They just don't allow other teams a lot of chances, if any at all.

They also regained the strength to win with just one or two goals. That was the case for a very long time but they lost that quality for a while. Now they are hard to beat again.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 22, 2023, 04:09:55 PM
On one hand, I like seeing greater adoption. There is no doubt that we have more and more merchants who add it on their portfolio, and as coincidence, accept it in their store as payment method. On the other hand, I rarely notice merchants who do self-custody. I'm surrounded by Internet services which have BitPay, Binance Pay and Coinbase, and very little comparably support lightning. We should fix that.

That is what I notice as well. A good number of merchants do accept Bitcoin, but that doesn't change the market dynamics of Bitcoin for better as it is just funneled back as a sale into the market through Bitpay etc.

@BlackHatcoiner when you say we should fix that, the biggest problem is probably for merchants to set up the infrastructure with lightning right? I haven't done any research on that topic, but are there companies like Bitpay that handle setting up lightning infrastructure and even connections to the merchants' accounting system?

One major step towards more merchant adoption would be plug and play solutions or click and install kind of things, but it is more complicated that I guess?

A solution would be amazing where a merchant could move a line chart in an easy to use interface like when you define sound volume, thereby defining which % portion of a Bitcoin payment they want to sell back into the market and which portion they want to put into their books as real Bitcoin. I think a lot of merchants would take a little risk and perhaps accumulate little by little through such a function. The software should handle all the accounting and they only need to shift this line chart from left to right, from 0% to 100%.

I don't know what the current status is of existing software solutions out there especially for smaller merchants who can't afford an army of crypto expert accountants.

Another match I'm waiting for is Liverpool vs Real Madrid. Liverpool are unstable in the League and Madrid are the same, they lost a few points in the league.  Tomorrow's Liverpool Vs Real Madrid match will probably end in a draw.
Both of these teams have shown good results in the previous two matches in their respective leagues, but in general Real Madrid has more chances to bring full points from Anfield, considering that Real Madrid's consistency in the Champions League is more reliable than Liverpool. My prediction is Real Madrid will win this game with a small score and I don't think the match will end in a draw.
Somehow the bookie thought we were going to lose to Liverpool today, which I thought was a not funny.  Tongue
They shouldn't underestimate us in the Champions League under any circumstances, but I hope it will be much more profitable than not.

Maybe it's not nice when we have to lose Aurelien Tchouameni, Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy in this important match, it's a bit annoying. But actually Real Madrid do not lack much to win this first leg against Liverpool, this is a good hope following two important wins in La Liga.

Real Madrid can win it when luck is a bit more on their side, but Liverpool is going 200% in this game. With the fans supporting them and the chance to please the audience tonight, I think that Madrid will have a very hard time defending against Liverpool.

Still Madrid is Madrid, I know. But it is no surprise that the bookies think Liverpool's chances for a win are higher than Madrid's.

Most times, I wish satoshi was still around on this forum atleast, it would have been a great advantage to not just users of this forum, but also bitcoin and the entire crypto currency market, if satoshi was still around here, I believe this forum would have been much bigger than it currently is, and bitcoin on the other hand would have been far more expensive than it currently is.

But anyways, the entire community will continue to appreciate him. And also learn from all that he wrote before his exit from this space, I've never seen or heard of the term "feedback loop" before, but today, I've seen, and learnt what this is.

How do you know that Satoshi isn't around anymore? That's an interesting point of view and maybe you can tell me why you know that he isn't around anymore? Wink

Great, Atletico can beat Bilbao in the middle of the schedule with a fairly difficult opponent. Because in the next match Atletico will also play away against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, obviously it will not be an easy opponent.
Because Atletico must also be able to maintain their position in the top four, because Atletico's current position is still not completely secure there and Atletico still need to win in every match.

Since the only competition that Atletico is still playing is La Liga, I think they do have a little chance against Real Madrid in the away game. Real Madrid might need to rotate a little bit and not send their best eleven players into the game. Then again if Real Madrid wants to preserve a little chance for the championship they are actually forced to win that game. If Barcelona can extend their lead by another three points, I just can't see how in the world Real Madrid could make a comeback. It is a tricky situation for Real and Atletico can just give their very best and don't have to care about recovery times or injuries. That's a totally different situation for Real.

For a derby match like this I think Real Madrid will still play all the main players, and it's not about getting the La Liga title or not. Because in a derby match like this, of course they have high prestige, so they must win.

Even though Real Madrid also has a schedule with difficult opponents because Real Madrid has to play in the Champions League against Liverpool and also in the Copa del Rey against Barcelona, but I'm sure that this will not make Real Madrid weak when playing against Atletico.

You are perhaps right, but these derby matches are physically very demanding and thinking about Ancelotti, I believe his utmost dream is to win the Champions League once more. The last thing that should happen now is an injury of an important player. Within just three weeks afterwards they are playing against Fc Barcelona and the second round against Fc Liverpool. Therefore, I would agree with you but taking these circumstances into account I think it is possible he will at least slightly rotate players.

In other words it's a network effect, which works with more people joining the network because others are using Bitcoin.

There is a number of factors involved that can be related to Bitcoin's price. This is where in my opinion you are right. With an increasing number of users does utility increase. With increasing utility, the number of potential use cases increases, which in turn attracts more users who increase utility and so on and so forth. I have observed that myself repeatedly. People sometimes asked me what they can do with Bitcoin. My answer used to be very short as you can imagine, but by now there is a number of things you can do with it and with the number of things constantly increasing, more and more people decided to hold at least a little bit of Bitcoin.

Although this is not a use case anyone has been looking forward to, being able to pay for VPN services in Russia these days still is a use case of great importance. The same counts for other countries that are trying to shut down VPN services. The easiest way is to block traditional payment methods from facilitating transactions for those services. That's not possible with Bitcoin. There are several use cases where political control or oppression is involved. Especially when you live in areas with uncertain social, economic and political conditions, I think it makes a lot of sense to hold some Bitcoin. Doesn't even have to be a lot, but maybe enough to preserve some flexibility just in case.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: February 13, 2023, 02:54:09 PM
The Argentinean Peso and the Venezuelan bolivar have changed their value a lot, yet they're still currencies.

In 10 years or so, one Argentinean Peso went from being worth $1 to being worth one cent.

And the situation in Venezuela is even worse.

So, I think Bitcoin is pretty stable compared to that.

Bitcoin is a lot better than Fiat currencies because it can be used across borders and gives you complete control of your money. It has done well even with the decaying state of the global economy. If Bitcoin has reached this far, then it can do anything. I'd imagine people using it at a large scale worldwide pretty soon.

The pioneer cryptocurrency is not a "world currency", simply because it isn't officially recognized by mainstream governments as such. But technically, it is. After all, anyone can use it anywhere as long as there's access to the Internet. This is only the beginning of the "Bitcoin Revolution" that will change our world for the better. Who knows if someday BTC beats Fiat currencies for good? Just my thoughts Grin

It would still need some governments from major economies to foster practical regulation and accept Bitcoin for tax payments. They can still pass regulation that makes it overly complicated to use Bitcoin for various purposes. Especially when it comes to smaller scale transactions or micro transactions, they could force people to document everything from the origin to realized gains and losses etc. In the end it is a race that governments can't win, but they can delay the adoption process. At the same time they accelerate it by making a certain spectrum of transactions more feasible.

I don't know in how far technological questions like those about quantum computing and its impact on Bitcoin first need to be addressed and answered in more detail. If a cryptocurrency serves as the world currency, it should at least be clear that it can't be attacked by hidden innovation. What if one government is researching technology that nobody else knows about and it could attack a multi trillion dollar network? Could that result in a serious doomsday?

from what I see, benfica is playing well and has been winning games without E. fernandes, so this is a situation in which benfica profited as always, benfica is a team that is already well prepared to adapt when a player is sold, that's because they are used to buying cheap players and selling for a very high price and making a profit
Did people too over estimate the talent of Enzo Fernandez?

He did not have too many matches for Benfica and in Europe. The performance with Argentina in World Cup 2022 brought him to the spot light and a chance to move to Chelsea with very expensive transfer price. Lessons learned from many big transfers as consequences for World Cup or Euro tournaments. Many of rising star players from big tournaments failed after one to three seasons. They are not talented enough or bad to cope with pressure from expensive transfers.

they have been in this business for years, winning the Portuguese league and just for the sake of reputation and access to the champions league, but they already have the business of selling of players that gives them good profit
Benfica is like Sevilla in La Liga. They are growing from average clubs to top clubs in their leagues and join tier-2 clubs in Europe. They have similar growth strategy by building up good scout teams to hunt for youth talented players. Then buy those youth players with cheap prices and give them chances to play in their leagues. If those youth players succeed to grow up, they sell those players and get good money for their clubs.

In Portuguese league, Porto is another club that has similar transfer strategy like Benfica.

That's the only chance clubs like Sevilla in Spain or Benfica in Portugal have. The Primeira Liga is not attractive enough for strong talents to stay there when huge clubs are already knocking on their door. Benfica could benefit a lot from making it quite far this Champions League season. The comparison to Sevilla is a bit problematic as Sevilla is a bit in a stagnation phase and they will have trouble qualifying for big tournaments for next season. They have usually been strong in the Europa League and it's a game on eye level against PSV.

The fight between Fc Porto and Benfica is all about both waiting for the other team to make a mistake, but they just don't as of now.
